The personal was really nice and friendly. The place was really great, making us feel in a family pension more than in a random hotel (which was like staying in an authentic place). Special mention to the owner who is so nice and friendly and to one of the room maid who is so cute with her smiling way to greet people (which is really nice in the morning)

Nothing that I didn't like. The only thing I must mention is actually about booking.com : the message system allowed some phishing attempt to appear, luckily the hotel was fast enough to tell me it was not a message from them. Though, once again, it's not connected to the hotel but to booking.com here

Lovely staff, convenient location, and spacious traditional rooms. Approx 20min walk with luggage from Shibuya Station. A quiet oasis only a block or two from the start of the hustle and bustle of food & shopping.

The staff were so friendly and kind, every time we returned to our room there were fresh towels and the beds were freshly made

L'hotel è in una ottima posizione a Shibuya: si trova in una via laterale e quindi è molto tranquilla e silenziosa, ma a pochi minuti dalle vie principali del quartiere e vicino a molti bar e ristoranti nonché alla metro. La stanza comoda e con tutto il necessario. Lo staff estremamente carino, gentile e disponibile.

Una sera abbiamo trovato uno scarafaggio in corridoio. Il soffitto del vano di entrata della camera molto basso.

The European-style rooms are very spare, not even a sleeping lamp. Uncomfortable.

We wanted a true Japanese experience. That's what we got. A real pleasure. We got acquianted with some of the staff. There's good people there.

You couldn't do anything about the heat outside.

we slept very well and confortable on the futons. The room was perfectely clean. The location is easily and fastly reachable by bus to Shibuya Station. The staff explaint everything perfectely and where helpful to my questions.

lovely staff, great price, futon was surprisingly comfy and the duvet was very fluffy. enjoyed having a private toilet and having the choice of either a traditional style or western style shower.

as others have said, it’s a bit of an uphill hike, best to take a little longer and walk along main roads as they’re a fair bit flatter. might be a tiny bit too light in the room if you’re very sensitive, but a 100y eye mask will do the trick!

Hotel was a nice older building located very conveniently just a 20 min walk from Shibuya. The room was very large by Japanese standards, and had a separate toilet and bathroom, plus entrance area! I liked the traditional futon, tatami and table decoration. Everything was clean and they replaced towels daily if requested.

No lift, so I had to carry my bags upstairs. There was no hairdryer in the room, although I believe this could be borrowed from reception if needed.

Room was clean and tidy, and staff was very friendly!

We liked the location and the value. And the in-house onsen was a nice bonus.

We could hear our neighbors and folks in the hall, but everyone was very respectful.

We stayed at Hotel Fukudaya over a 2 week period and used it as our base in Tokyo while we visited around. It was always nice to come back to the hotel and it became like our home away from home. We were very happy with our stay here. The hotel is walking distance to shibuya station and harajuku, meguro. The owner is super friendly and welcoming.

We came with 2 small kids, so it was a little inconvenient not to have somewhere good for breakfast close by if we weren’t organised. But we could order in food easily and nice cafes were only 15 min walk away

A place was the perfect place to stay in Shibuya! the neighborhood is very quite but still convenient to reach popular areas nearby. so many places nearby you’ll never run out of things to do or places to eat! It is a place with wonderful architecture and a private Japanese spa. Our host is very nice and communicative. Very helpful host and good location, comfortable clean room. What do I need more🤷🏻‍♀️ We really enjoy our stay and hope to come back again :-)

It was a pity that I couldn't use the refrigerator freely. I wish there was a mini refrigerator in the room :-)

Little bit small, banged my head on door a couple of times. However I’ve seen smaller places in Japan and I’m rather tall at 6”3 so it wasn’t much of an issue at all considering the Japanese standards.
