Walking distance from the park, nice breakfast, clean, air-conditioning, nice beds, shared living space including microwave to heat food.

You know this is a purely functional stay to visit Europa Park and it serves that purpose well, nothing less, nothing more. Bathroom was quite dated and the room was a bit stuffy with a large slanted ceiling (bumped my head hard, several times). Rust is also not a very inspiring village, so two nights there was more than enough.

The room was very comfortable and the bathroom was good, but for me breakfast was poor. This was the most expensive (as one would expect of Switzerland) place I stayed during my little road-trip through Italy, Switzerland and France , and while the room and bathroom were among the best, the breakfast was the worst. The bread was unappealing, there were no hot options other than boiled eggs, which you had to boil yourself. Perhaps it's great for Swiss hotels to offer Swiss style breakfasts, and perhaps this pleases their demographic. But I had better cheese and meat at the cheaper Swiss Hotel Heidi in Maienfeld.
