The young blonde lady on reception was very friendly and checked us in .The room was a good size the bed linen clean and the bed very comfortable.We also had a lovely mountain view.
The older lady who served us at breakfast was also very nice and nothing seemed to be too much trouble .
We had the full breakfast and as well as being tasty it was always served lovely and hot and we never waited too long . The staff that we met are an asset to this lodge .
The room was a decent size with a lovely mountain view ,the bedding was clean and the bed comfortable to sleep in .
My husband found the stay a little noisy the front doorbell kept going off early in the morning .Im not sure if these were delivery people arriving or staff; but maybes the door could have been kept unlocked .Actually thinking about it there was a doorbell on the reception desk maybe guests were wanting to check out - whatever the reason management could easily rectify this issue.
My only small negative was that i’m not
a fan of a shower curtain and maybes the bathrooms need an update but it was clean and that’s the most important thing for me .
Overall a nice stay and it’s the staff that are the asset here .

Super location, good breakfast everything you would wish for, very friendly and helpful staff. We ate in the restaurant 3 nights and the food was really excellent. Would stay again in the future.
The upkeep of the room could have been improved. Bins were not emptied, milk not replenished some days nor were the biscuits.

The property was beautiful, although in the middle of nowhere you couldn’t fault it. The staff was very friendly and helpful, the food was amazing and the bed was really comfortable.

I booked to avoid driving in a storm. We came down to eat in the evening to be told they were fully booked. Something we should of been told at check in. It’s literally in the middle of no where so I had to get back in the car with my diabetic child (who has to eat) on a Saturday night in a storm to find some sort of shop. All very stressful. Also at check out I was told in front of a packed room that I hadn’t paid. It was quite embarrassing. I had already paid thru booking.com and tried to explain that but they took my money again. That took quite a few calls that week to get a refund.
Also please put some pictures up in the rooms.. has prison overtones if u don’t

Food was cooked very well.
Air con in room was great (when window needed to be shut when kitchens were in use) . The view from our room was lovely.
The tea / coffee tray was kept well stocked during the stay.

The room was very clean (apart from bathroom mould).
Our room was very comfortable but the furniture and carpet was very tired. There was a slight musty smell as we walked in, and I think it was due to mould around the bath. We were charged £25 for bringing our dog - I would have understood that if the room was fairly recently refurbished.
1. Room does need freshening up.
2. Furniture integrity needs attention / repairs.
3. Carpet needs replacing.
4. Only one key is issued per room - inconvenient.

The location is excellent, with mountain biking and walking right on the doorstep. We enjoyed the food at the restaurant. The breakfast staff were very friendly.
While the room was spacious it felt quite basic and unloved - like only having one very worn chair in the corner. We had originally booked for 3 nights but on arrival requested to shorten to 2 nights, which they agreed to and amended the booking which was much appreciated. However 3 weeks later we are still waiting for the refund of the 3rd night, despite asking again at the end of our stay and phoning us afterwards. We came to stay as a ‘mini moon’ following our wedding, but despite writing 2 weeks in advance I had no reply to my message asking for suggestions for how they could make our stay a bit special.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Room was great , exceptionally comfortable bed! Day one breakfast wasn’t perfect but second day was delicious.. lovely, kind staff . View was breathtaking.

The room and the bed were huge. Large bathroom with bath and over bath shower. Generous breakfast.
Could hear people walking around on the floor upstairs and dragging furniture. Every time they walked over where the air conditioning unit is the metal in the unit creaked but this didn’t go on too late so wasn’t really a problem

Mom says you should always have something nice to say, so, I can say that the staff was pleasant . Whoever took the photos on the website is amazing, they knew exactly what they are doing to make it look so much nicer than it actually is in real life.
It is a terrible value for money. It has been a long time since I have stayed in a dorm room, but I have certainly stayed in nicer dorm rooms than this hotel. Really, there are so many nicer places in the area for less money. Maybe if it was half the money and there was no other choice.

The only let down was the shower that was very poor nearly burnt me at one stage..
