The apartment was amazing. It was spacious and had everything you could possibly need. Having the pub downstairs was an added bonus, for the staff were very friendly and attentive and the food was great!!! Would highly recommend and will definitely stay again.

This apartment is very spacious, has 2 lovely bathrooms and everything you need for a stay away from home. We were given a very generous welcome pack with milk, juice, bread, cereals, cakes and plenty more. I would recommend this accommodation and would definitely stay there again. Plenty of TVs and free WiFi.

Plenty of room.

Large, comfortable, very well kitted out and despite being over a pub/restaurant it was very quiet. The restaurant meals were excellent and reasonably priced. The 2 bathrooms were modern and the shower was brilliant. The kitchen had everything we needed and they left several things like bread, milk, scones and cereals.

The entrance staircase from the carpark was steep, narrow, creaky and we wondered what we'd see when we entered the flat, however it was wonderful. The telephone number on the booking details is incorrect and needs changing.

Booked in here for work. Beautiful views of rolling hills and surrounding farmland. Very comfortable, modern renovation, with everything you could need for a week away. Fantastic staying above a pub - great beer on tap and delicious hearty food. V welcoming hosts. ~12 minutes drive from Durham, 30-60 minutes on public transport.

The apartment was beautiful and fully equipped. Photos do not do it justice. Ideally located in a quiet rural area just 10-15 minutes from downtown Durham. The hosts could not have been nicer and more accommodating. Our family of 7 adults plus an infant and a toddler were perfectly comfortable.

Since you’re above the pub, you do hear some noise until midnight. No loud music but plenty of people chatting outdoors. The windows are great but some noise does filter through so may not work for very light sleepers.

Outstanding accomodation. Spotlessly clean and very comfortable. Very good welcoming breakfast basket left for us. Evening food in pub downstairs very good.

Could hear a noisy air conditioning unit from our bedroom. Did not stop us having a good nights sleep

A light at the top of the stairs, over the door to the apartment would have been helpful for seeing when unlocking and locking the door.

Exceptionally clean. Very high quality of fitments, both in the living room (massive leather sofas), bathroom, shower room and kitchen. Very roomy. The apartment is over a village pub, the people behind the bar were very friendly and so were the customers in front of the bar. Good beer. Good food. I've stayed in places around the world, including the Barcelona Hilton, five star hotels in the far east and the Randolph in Oxford. I would sooner stay here than any of them. If anyone is visiting the UK and wants to get a flavour of genuine Northern hospitality, you could not do better than this place. And no, I'm not related to the landlord!

Food in the pub is excellent and great value for money, definitely recommended.

Main shower is very good, but temperature was a bit too hot, possibly the boiler is set too high?

We had to postpone our trip after one of us got pinged. Hosts we very accommodating with offer of new dates. So glad we stayed with this property. Warm, super clean, well equipped and comfortable. A bath and a shower . A box of treats, and like the photo, flowers in the window boxes too. Plenty spacious. We were expecting to be a larger group but some couldn’t make it There would have easily been enough room for everyone, though. We got out about on the good weather days and went down stairs to the pub - which also serves good pub grub - on the rainy day. Would thoroughly recommend The Cross Keys.

Lovely location, soundproof windows, super comfy beds and well equipped kitchen, the welcome pack was lovely and hosts super nice! We are very pleased with our short stay!

Only one thing could be easily improved - the condenser/aircon unit downstairs could be less noisy. not too much to worry as it was on only occasionally.

Steven and Karen where there when we arrived to show us around and hand over the keys. We where a party of 8 on a hen do. They where so welcoming and couldn't be more accommodating. They arranged our full weekend for us and made the weekend fantastic! From the pub itself to the food and accommodation, everything was exceptional. We can not thank them enough for a brilliant weekend and we will all be returning very soon!

Very Friendly Hosts, Collected Keys from the bar, Very spacious and everything you could want. A very nice welcome basket with plenty for breakfast the following morning, Plenty of towels and extra blankets. Meal in the pub was also very good
