You can hear footsteps from upstairs and outside corridor. Sound proofing is poor. They dont clean your room everyday which is a poor excuse. Shampoo, conditioner and shower gel are diluted and of poor quality. Stay here only if you need to be in the same room as your family. Location is poor compared to other parts of shinjuku where there are a lot more choices for food.

We loved Mimaru. I cannot praise the staff enough, they were so helpful and spoke very good English. They organised bag transfer to Hakuba for us and recommend great coffee places and even which entrance to go into Shinjuku station for our transfer to Hakuba. Location is good, close to handimarts, Shinjuku Station and heaps of food and entertainment for kids. It was quiet, comfortable and really super clean. Good size (for Japan), for our family of 3 with 3 large suitcases and snowboard bags.

Hotel is in a fantastic location just outside the main tourist areas but still plenty close enough to walk to everything. Staff were great and hotel had everything we needed.

Its only good for families who want to be in the same room.

Great sized rooms with comfy beds. The location is fantastic with Shinjuku Station just a short walk up the road and plenty of amazing restaurants and bars a few hundred meters away.

Whats not to like

Gtreat size room and the kithchenette facities were fantastic, everything was clean and modern and new. The front desk staff were caring and very helpful. The location was quite good with shops close by and an easy walk to Shinjuku entertainment precinct.

Location and staff were excellent

Having a dining table and chairs is something we take for granted and we didn’t always get on our round world trip. It waa so nice to have this and a kitchenette at Mimaru. Having on-site laundry facilities was also very helpful. Will definitely stay again and can highly recommend.

Over priced for the quality of the room and the facilities.

Spacious room. Many adapters for charging devices. Separate toilet from shower. Big bathroom.

A bit tiring to walk back after a long day. But it’s considered quite convenient. Easy to walk from Shinjuku station. All the way straight. Do not use the underground tunnel, much much longer than walking above ground.

Cleaning needs to be better… found a baby’s bib from previous guest under the cushion of the sofa.

It was at the quiet part of Shinjuku - within comfortable walking distance but distant enough from the crowd and night life.

Very spacious room with comfortable beddings which can accommodate 4 people. Good lighting and roomy bathroom. They provide a well-equipped small pantry and a microwave which is excellent for long stay. Close to subway, Airport bus stop, Lawson & Family Mart.

We were won over by Dong who was at the counter for his exceptional service.

The location is not accessible and need to walk at least 10-15 mins from main station

Very spacious for a Japanese hotel. The beds were very comfortable and the rooms were well soundproofed. We liked that the toilet was separate from the bathroom. The water pressure was good and water temperature adjustable. We stayed for 8 days and it felt like a second home.

Would be nice if the rooms were cleaned every consecutive day. Proximity to train station might be abit far for some people.

Approx 15 mins walk to Shinjuku station. Close to convenience stores. Good value for money. Excellent staff. Laundry.

Small rooms and bathrooms for a family of 4, but you would have to spend more to get a 2 room apartment, or go our of the city.

The rooms were big and have a kitchen. Beds were enough for a family or 4. Liked that there were laundromat in the same floor. Located close to Shinjuku station, restaurants, and shopping.

No view, had a room on the second floor. The lady who came to collect trash and change towels were a bit strange. She came at 10am with not much of a smile, said “Trash and towel.” Normally the housekeeping will be nice and smile and say to come back later to change things, but it seems like it wasn’t a service just a job. We had to take our trash to her to empty it. Most amenities that were provided in hotels were not available. Only shampoo, conditioner, and body wash were available. No water filter place to fill water to drink.
