We thoroughly enjoyed our time at Red Earth Palace Retreat. The home is immaculate. We were able to cook a delicious dinner as the kitchen is set up with everything you need to prepare any type of meal.
The owners are attentive - they checked in on upon arrival. They also answered any questions that came up during our stay.
I will definitely stay there again.

My husband and I celebrated our 10th wedding anniversary here. It was absolutely magical. The house is gorgeous, and the secluded location was perfect for unplugging from our hectic lives for a week but close enough to Taos, the mountains and other destinations for day trips.
Our hosts couldn't have been more gracious or helpful. On one blustry day, we lost power for a short while. Katherin responded within seconds of getting our message and had an update for us within minutes. We really could not have asked for more. We hope to return one day.

We booked a week around Labor Day to escape the Texas heat. The setup was great for us and our 1 small dog. The host was very responsive and helpful with any questions. We enjoyed exploring Taos and a couple of rounds of golf along with needed relaxation!

The house and area are beautiful and remote just like we wanted. Countertops and sinks are high but doable at 5'4". A little too hot in the house even with opening all windows at night but would probably be perfect from early fall to late spring. The trails weren't well marked on the ground and we ended up on the very difficult trail so we can't comment on the hot springs. Please note that the difficult trail can be accessed from the same point as the start of other trails. If you end up halfway down the gourge looking at the river it is beautiful and not for anyone with any mobility issues. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and communications with management were good. Just be aware of temperature and hiking concerns and you will have a perfect time.

My husband and fur-babes were in the Taos area on vacation and this home made our time very memorable. The home is absolutely stunning, as is the setting. Katherin's communication is top-notch. Two thumbs up from us - highly recommend.

Red Earth Palace easily exceeded our already high expectations. The house itself is a work of art, extremely clean with well thought-out architecture, plenty of windows and views for miles. The 15 acres provides excellent privacy as well as peace and quiet. The fully stocked kitchen had everything we needed, and the king bed in the master bedroom was perfect for a good nights sleep after all the hiking. The master bath was 5-star resort quality. A beautiful outdoor deck and hot tub was the place to unwind and view a sky full of stars at night. We will definitely plan a return trip to REP.

My friend, dogs, and I had a wonderful time here! Easy to get to town, yet completely secluded and quiet. The house was so cozy, yet modern, everything was awesome, the beds and blankets, the french doors that open up from each bedroom. We grilled out under the stars. Soaking in the hot tub with the views of the Rio Valley gorge were amazing. It was so quiet and peaceful. It was great to have access to trails right out the front door. And a short hike from the springs! Soaking in the hot springs down in the canyon was just magical. The owners were great as well - super nice and accommodating. Would definitely stay here again and recommend it as well!!!

The Red Earth Palace is a bit of heaven. The location with private access down the gorge to the Rio Grande and the Manby Hot Spring is unbelievable.
We loved the house, the deck with hot tub for sometimes twice a day soaks and just the right distance from Taos. (Don't miss the Love Apple for a special dinner out and be sure to book well in advance!)
We were a family of 5 with a 3 yr old so the sleep arrangements worked out. Otherwise this best accommodates 2 couples.
We did find the kitchen counter tops unusually high that made cooking and clean up a challenge. We literally had to stand on a footstool to do anything there. Also in the master bath to access the sink. Be prepared for that bit of inconvenience, still, I have to give this a 5 star rating. Tough to beat this beautiful home and setting.

Katherin's place is absolutely beautiful and very clean/comfortable. If you're skiing, it's a bit out there, but otherwise such a wonderful place to stay!

My family of 4 had a lovely time at Katherin’s home in Taos! The views were beautiful, we loved hiking to the natural hot springs, taking dips in the hot tub, and enjoyed cooking in the kitchen. It is very secluded which we liked and were able to drive to downtown Taos, which was only 15-20 minute drive. If you are looking for a quiet getaway I recommend staying here!

Fantastic House - a must stay in Taos!
WOW! Red Sky Palace is the place to stay in Taos. Secluded and exclusive is the best description for this amazing house. The views, the hot tub, the private trail to the hot springs on the Rio Grande and this superb house combine for a perfect getaway in Taos. Katherin the host/owner, was very responsive and attentive to any questions we had during our stay. We loved this house so much that we extended our stay one more night because we didn't want to leave. We will be back and highly recommend you book a stay here.

This property is amazing! We were blown away by the location, views, sunsets, and beautiful home. Everything was just as the description promised, and more. We even had a few bighorn sheep sightings! Stunning views, great hosts
We could not have enjoyed our stay more. The views from every direction, the fun and comfortable house, the Rio Grande Gorge right at our doorstep. And morning coffees watching the hot air balloons.
Note, that at the time of our stay, there were no window coverings, so you do wake up with the sun. But that was also the coolest time of day and the most peaceful. So no biggie really.
10 out of 10. Will return one day hopefully.

My husband & I and our 2 dogs just spent 4 days at this awesome home! The photos & description don’t do this home justice! The home was beautifully decorated & so comfortable...There were several areas outside to sit & enjoy the stunning surroundings. The hot tub and deck faced the Rio Grande Bluffs. The house was a short walk to the River & a mile hike down to the hot springs. We highly recommend renters take the hike. Katherin was a wonderful hostess who was easy to communicate with. We had a fabulous dinner at The Love Apple per her suggestion. If you’re looking for a peaceful, beautiful home to relax & enjoy the beauty of New Mexico this place is for you! It was amazing!

We had a wonderful, relaxing stay at this very unique and beautiful property. The porch and hot tub are oriented perfectly for morning coffees and sunset cocktails. There was a hot air balloon that we’d regularly see in the mornings that was a lot of fun to watch float over the canyon. From the front door of the house it took me exactly 30 minutes to hike to Manby Hot Springs at a relaxed pace. The springs are very nice but we only went in the mornings before they got too busy—based on the cars in the parking lot it seems to get quite popular. Recycling seems to be scarce in Taos and despite locating the recycling center in town, they weren’t open when we stopped by and ended up hauling our recycling home. This isn’t a short-coming of the rental, just what to expect in Taos in general. The highlight for me was hearing coyotes yipping at 2am at what sounded like just outside the back door—I wish I could have seen them! Thank you for letting us stay at your beautiful home!

The perfect desert oasis!
This home and it’s owner are absolute gems! Our small group of four and our pups could not have asked for a more perfect place to celebrate a milestone birthday. A truly spectacular location at the edge of the Rio Grand Gorge, the sunrises, sunsets and star-studded dark night sky certainly do not disappoint!
Our group immediately felt both at home and extremely lucky to be able to spend time together relaxing, cooking and celebrating in this utterly unique and beautiful home and property. Long soaks in hot tub on observation deck with a glass of wine were a perfect way to end the day. Our group cooked all our meals during our stay and really appreciated the fully appointed kitchen and use of the most excellent appliances.
Communication with the owner before, during and after our stay was excellent. Katherin is the consummate hostess and goes above and beyond to ensure your stay is perfect. I accidentally left behind a box of spices I brought with me to whip up some special meals and her wonderful cleaning staff took the time to pack them up and ship them back to me-what amazingly kind folks here!
I can’t say enough about this eclectic, unique place and its kind owner. We are totally hooked on this magical desert getaway and are looking forward to our next stay here!
