Nice place a little bit smaller than I thought but very nice great location for fishing

Online pictures were accurate but didn't really convey the comfort & hominess of Cardinal Cottage. Traci thought of everything you might need when being away from home--the kitchen was stocked with pots, pans & utensils, making cooking easy & there was shampoo, conditioner and liquid soap in the shower. There was even a welcome basket of snacks--which was delicious and appreciated! Everything was very clean and the bed was comfortable. We had one very windy & rainy day but it was so nice to be inside the cottage just watching it through all of the living room windows. Great views, since you are directly on the lake and we enjoyed cider and board games on the deck and wine on the dock. Communication with Traci was easy and she was quick to respond. Checking in & out was a breeze. We agreed with other reviewers who mentioned the hot water issue but since it was mentioned, we were prepared for it. And the comfort of the cottage, for us, far outweighed any minor inconvenience that staggering showers may have caused. Cardinal Cottage is definitely someplace we would like to visit again--so beautiful in the fall but we think a summer visit might also be fun!

I wanted a quiet house right on the water for vacation and this place delivered by a load! The pictures don’t even come close to doing this property justice. Fully equipped with everything we could possibly need for our stay, even snacks! We thoroughly enjoyed our time here even with rain everyday. We would absolutely do it again!

Very small but good for 2. Shower was small but needed nonslip Matt. A railing would be useful entering the house .

My sister and I have rented many houses on Lake Ontario and this one was perfection. You just have to look at the pictures to fully appreciated what you will be getting. The only remark is it really is only for a max of 4 people. There were only two of us and it was perfect. I would highly recommend it and two people that visited us wanted the information to rent it also.

Beautiful property inside and outside. Host very responsive to our needs. The welcome basket was so considerate. This camp had all the amenities, we needed for nothing. My wife's favorite part was just reading in the early am on the front deck, so peacefully. Made some great memories

My sister and I live in different states and wanted a relaxing place to vacation with each other for a week. Cardinal Cottage was a perfect choice! The cottage is beautifully furnished. We loved the grassy yard and lake right outside the door. The host was promptly responsive to my texts and the property is well cared for. The area is quiet and peaceful. I recommend this property to anyone looking for a lovely, relaxing getaway.

Great experience, right on the waterfront. My 2 almost 3 year old loved going out on the pedal boat and there is a great park/playground less than 1/2 mile down the road. We came to visit family that lives in the area and really enjoyed being waterfront, so relaxing. It is a small space but very well thought out and equipped. The outdoor space provided ample extra space for our family. Landlord/owner was very responsive when needed.

If I say that we are thinking about coming back then that should speak volumes. We are very particular. The details that have been put into this adorable place were quite impressive! The bed was so cozy, loved the gas fireplace and the inside of the cabin was so clean. The fire pit and enclosed surrounding was awesome! It kept the bugs at bay at night. We didn’t use the gazebo much but to keep our fishing gear in, but it has everything you’d want. My only tiny disappointment was that I wished the decking was cleaned up a little in regards to old foliage etc. and the fish station was cleaned. Honestly, minor details but like I said “particular”. The property manager is amazing and speedy with responses; absolutely nothing felt like a hassle. Thank you for an incredibly relaxing getaway!!!!

We were in town for a wedding and decided to stay the extra days when we found this lovely home! It was definitely worth it. It was so peaceful and relaxing and definitely just what we needed! We can't wait to go back.

Good stay, Owner was very helpful and communication was excellent which made the experience even better. Nice, cozy lake house. Crappy weather didn't allow us to utilize it's full potential. But still a nice stay. The view from the living room every morning was always inviting, great naps to be had! Overall clean and inviting home. Did enjoy the stay.

we were looking for a quiet out of state stay where we could fish and enjoy peace and quiet. That is exactly what we got. If I could rate it 10 I would. The property manager was extremely useful in telling us about how the property worked, what was on the property, and what expect. Never did we feel lost while on the property. We will definitely be staying again.

They also provided bed linens & towels which we found very convenient. We were easily able to access the ice at this lakefront cottage. The enclosed gazebo worked very well as a place to store our gear. Would definitely consider staying here again!

We spent most of our time Inside as the weather was very rainy during our visist, but when the weather allowed we took full advantage of the sun sitting on the deck listening to the waves hit the break wall. Wonderful cottage on the lake to Rest and recharge!
