This home is a perfect place to stay for a large family. Our three grown children and spouses and grandchildren loved the home. The set up of the bedrooms is perfect for families or group that have small children as bedrooms have two hallway doors to shut out noise while napping or to bed early. We gathered around the table for games every evening. Only got one day of skiing due to rain but Stowe is a great mountain and all had a full day. We would definitely recommend this home to anyone. Clean, great kitchen and open living/dining area. The game room downstairs is perfect for foosball and ping pong. An extra refrigerator in the kitchen area came in very handy. We’d love to go in the summer and get use of the beautiful pool.
Thank you Liz!

We had a bit of a reunion, with a lot of out-of-town friends and family, and this place was absolutely perfect. Spacious, clean, and centrally located. We will have to return and rent again in the summer when the pool is open. Highly recommended.

We had a great time and the house was perfect for a group.

We had 2 families of adults along with two little ones. The house had more than enough space for everyone to spread out. The kitchen is large and beautiful. The home is close to Stowe Ski Resort and there are trails and fields nearby for wonderful snowshoeing.

We were together from both the east and west coast for a family get together and family wedding. The house was great for all of us to have good space indoors to be together and have some privacy and quiet time. There were 15 of us ranging in age from 11 months to 76 including 7 children 8 and under. We love to cook and the kitchen was large and well set up for cooking with a beer and wine cooler and extra fridge downstairs and a large dining table. The setting is beautiful. A few items that would have made it a 5 star rating were: some of the bedrooms could have been cleaner, and the downstairs playroom was very musty. Small but important details to easily address include more lighting in the living room and making sure the downstairs games have the correct balls for playing. The pool is great but unheated. It would definitely help to have a heater with option to pay for it. This would have been huge for our August stay which was not very warm or sunny. Overall we enjoyed the house. The host is very responsive- before, during and after the stay. This would be a great place for an extended family/ friend winter ski trip.

We found this large, sprawling home warm and comfortable for all age groups with plenty of space for doing puzzles, playing mahjong, watching TV, or just reading to name a few of our favorite things. The large deck and fire pit area was perfect for our group who gathered to celebrate a 75 th and 45 th BirthDay. Planning to come back again real soon. The owner and manager are great to work with and any questions were taken care of promptly and with care. Two joyful weeks!

We had come together for a family reunion and found the house to be in a beautiful private location, hidden from the world with a pool we used most days. The set up of the bedroom’s and bathrooms is exceptionally comfortable and private. We were close to everything we wanted to see and the house was a perfect central hub. We did have a problem with WI-FI but found that it enhanced our sense of vacation and privacy from the world so none of us were seriously concerned about it. It was a vary memorable experience overall

PROS:
-Big house, easily accommodated our party of 12
-quiet spot with a large deck and awning for shade
-fun game room for teens or older kids away from main living room (if they're noisy)
CONS:
-_Unheated_ pool in Vermont. 63 degree water = too cold to enjoy in late June. Maybe better in later summer. Maybe owners could consider an optional surcharge to heat the pool (which would have vastly improved our experience)
-Oven failed to reach temperature on 'bake' setting. Property manager responded, but not repaired.
-Grill internals were rusty / coming apart. Again, property manager came but it wasn't fixed/usable for us
-Many parts of the house were tired and in need of updates/replacing. Carpets, windows missing cranks to operate for airflow, musty in places
It's a spacious older house that could use some TLC and updates, but also probably better for winter ski stays when an unheated pool or airflow wouldn't matter as much.

sprawling single story ranch that allows for separate spaces for kids and adults.

The house is a very large ranch and we easily fit 3 families with kids. It's a 15 minute drive from the Stowe Mtn parking lot, 3 minutes to the Swimming Hole and 5 minutes to Shaw's. The house is banged up (windows don't work, plumbing fixtures are a little gnarly) and not the cleanest. It's certainly much nicer than camping though and as long as you don't need things to an immaculate standard it's got everything a big group needs for a great time together. This was our second time renting the house and, assuming the owner doesn't blacklist me for my comments in this review, we would love to stay again.

Lovely house in a great location and loved the working fire place and massive kitchen. Photos are very accurate, so you'll see some things are a little dated, but all function and added to the charm.

We had a lovely Thanksgiving weekend. The property provided plenty of firewood, sheets & towels. Not a wine glass to be found! 😪 Prompt response from owner & property manager. Would go back again!

This place was great - had everything we needed. It could have been a little cleaner, but the space and location were amazing.

This is the second time we have stayed on this property with my family. The house is minutes away from town and a short drive to the mountain and Waterbury.
Stowe is magical- we can go for a walk, ride bides, go on the gondola, horseback riding, fish, eat awesome baked goods and most importantly relax. Oh yes, and in the winter you can ski:)
The house is just perfect - this time we enjoyed the pool, playing games in the game room and outdoor games with the kids on the grass in the backyard.
The house is so big that it allowed the kids (and tired parents) to sleep on one side of the house while others could still watch tv, hang out, talk or be in the kitchen.
Last year we came on our own ( us and two kids, and a small dog), but this year we also brought along aunt and grandpa - who loved it as well. The kids were crying when we left today and can’t wait to visit again soon.

For the most part this property was excellent. Great location close to all the Stowe attractions and close enough to Burlington to make a trip there. Quiet area and secluded by trees. It being a rental property it’s kind of what you expect. One of the showers was out of order when we stayed but the fact it has a lot of bathrooms made that easy to work around. Shower heads in some of the bathrooms are pretty old and could use updating/replacing and could also use a real deep clean but generally was clean. Water smelled like sulfur at times likely due to town water treatment or something. A few really soft beds and a few pretty stiff beds so you have options for picky sleepers. Outdoor area is nice with the pool, large deck and fire pit. Property could use a bit of updating but if you are looking to get together with a large group, this property is perfect.

My stay at Liz's beautiful house was the perfect base camp for a long weekend of great skiing at Stowe. My group was very large and consisted of different families and groups but this house was so big that each had ample space to do as they wished while also having common areas that allowed for group activities. The ping pong table in the basement kept all entertained for many hours. My guests remarked numerous times that this house was designed so beautifully that the architect who built it must had lived in it. The fireplace in the living room kept us cozy and warm while single digit temperatures ravaged outside. The house is also located right next to all that Stowe has to offer, getting to the mountain or dinner was no problem at all even during snow storms. I couldn't be more pleased to have stayed at this property and I urge all large groups to consider the ample space of this beautiful home!

Family Christmas getaway
The size, layout, location and ambiance were exactly what our family of 11 needed. We received e actor what was advertised. However, their were a few minor issues that should be corrected.
The garbage disposal and dishwasher are using the same plug, soyouhave to go under the sink plug and unplug depending on which appliance is needed. Some of the wall switches are marked, however their are numerous wall switches which are trial and error. One bathroom door has the upper hinge broke and door cannot shut all the way. The furnishings are dated and have a few rips. One bedroom off the kitchen with private bath cannot get any hot water no matter how long you let it run.
These are all very minor issues and in no way affected the great time we had

Liz was very responsive to all queries before we arrived. The setting and location were perfect for a wedding at Trapp family lodge. Our extended family stayed for 3 nights. Our only suggestion is to have the property managers stay on top of broken things. The cuisinart coffee maker had a broken water tank and the jacuzzi in one of the bathrooms was inoperable with an out of order sign when we arrived. Otherwise we had a very pleasant stay.

We loved our stay in Stowe! The house was perfect for our extended family of 8 and 3 generations. Perfect privacy with all the bedrooms and large comfortable common spaces. Love the huge kitchen for creating meals and were in the pool most everyday. Stowe has so much to offer and is just gorgeous. Would highly recommend. Liz was wonderful to communicate with! Enjoy!!

Just left this property, and oh how none of us wanted to leave. The property was beautiful, relaxing, and spacious.
This was our first family/friends trip in awhile, and this property was perfect for all of the adults and kids.
We enjoyed the pool for the first few days, however, lots of rainy days followed, so we chose to do some indoor activities.
We love visiting Stowe, the town is cute, and everything is accessible.
The pictures of the property advertised are true, the house is exactly as you see it in the pictures.
The owner Liz, was very helpful, kind, and easy to communicate with during our trip.
The only issue we found not fully up to par was the cleaning done by the cleaning crew, prior to our arrival. The house was tidy, things were put in place, bathrooms and bedrooms were clean. However, many walls had splatter and/or dead bugs that should have been noticed by a cleaning crew prior to renters arriving.
Although the tile and hardwood floors appeared to be clean, they were not, as the kids walking around barefoot in the living/dining area had very dirty feet after just a short time.
Aside from the cleaning, only other thing we really missed on the humid days was air conditioning. We slept well with windows open, however, some days it was really hot.
Again, great property. Definitely don’t pass this one up if you are looking for a spacious, private rental for a large group.

The house is even nicer than the photos show. Was a perfect getaway for our group of 13. Loved how many bathrooms there were and everything is laid out nicely. The kitchen is amazing we cooked all our meals in it. Backyard is awesome, pool is HUGE (way bigger than the photo). Lovely deck big enough for all of us to eat outside together. Plus a grill. And the host was very responsive and so easy to check in/out. Highly recommend!
