We had a wonderful stay. The hosts were really caring and welcoming. The breakfasts and dinner were delicious and super generous and the rooms were super comfy and cosy. The hosts also went the extra mile in wishing my brother happy birthday with a special breakfast and gift, which made it very special.

Good communication from the property before the arrival with good instructions.

It felt like we were in the middle of nowhere as there was no cellphone signal and no WiFi. This made communication with our family very difficult before the wedding. The woman greeting us was quite unprofessional and lackadaisical. She insisted that there was WiFi and that hers were working, making no effort to solve our problems. The remote for the gate didn't work and the woman greeting us made no effort to replace it. The room was absolutely freezing and the one part of the wall was literal timber planks through which you could see the outside. The shower took forever to warm up and even then the water wasn't that warm. The bedside table still had things from the previous party that stayed there. I expected a lot more for R870 as I've stayed at some awesome places with much better locations and breakfast included for the same price. Total rip off.

Lovely place, a gem, quiet and peaceful, décor done beautifully

The lady receiving us was annoyed because we did not respond to her email informing her what time we will arrive. I want to suggest that this get communicated when confirmation is sent. With loadshedding you do not have reception to check your emails and other hosts will phone you if they are not at the premises and have to open for you. There was no wifi password left in the room we had to go and ask for it. We had only 1 toilet roll and could not get hold of the hostess for more, although we only stayed for 1 night 1 roll was not enough. We got there just before loadshedding - there was no candle or light in the room we had to go look for the hostess, she was not very welcoming or friendly, it is a shame as the place is lovely.

We booked in for wedding a kilometre away and had a pleasant 1½ hours preparing for the function. The bathroom facilities were awesome and everything in our unit was fantastic. We did not stay for breakfast, however, on wanting to deposit the keys, I ventured into the house and there were some American visitors enjoying a hearty and scrumptious smelling breakfast. The owner, 'B', turned out to be a delightful character and insisted on coming out to meet my wife and we left a full 20 minutes later. Unfortunately, even after promising, I forgot her full name.

Not too much to dislike. We were not searching for 100 things to do in the area (and we have stayed in the local vicinity twice before). This was just perfect for a couple who want to be relatively close to Maropeng, Sterkfontein Caves and the rest of the Cradle of Humankind. It is a short drive away from shops, etc and is an amazingly quiet venue on a lovely property.

Exceeded my expectations in terms of room amenities, situated in a quiet and extremely secure area. Convenient for my purpose of stay (overnight after a wedding).

We booked in for 1 night's stay following an evening event at Sterkfontein Caves. The room was very comfortable - we had a great night's sleep, and enjoyed having a tea station in the room. There were also some snacks provided, which was a lovely treat!
