The location

Nothing on the property worked- had to ask for a coffee pot, for days at a time there was no one in attendance on the property, had to buy toilet paper because no one around to ask, safe did not work, had to have the refrigerator replaced because it was not working, the TV never worked. There is no "garden" at the property as described in the ad and no place to sit outside the room except for a two seater in front of the property. Room was very depressing with curtains that were ill fitting. this could be a lovely property with a little imagination in decorating. So, we checked out early but there was no one there to whom we could give the keys. I really feel that we should get a refund for the 5 days we did not stay due to the poor service and that most things did not work.

Great apartments with a kitchen and fridge. Easy check in/out and close enough to everything.

There was a smell in the bathroom that wasn't the most pleasant. After running the water a bunch it went away.

The room with balcony is great for a couple and we stayed there for 2 weeks. Kitchen is complete with 2 burners, microwave and coffee machine. Plates, pots, pans and utensils are also provided which are great! Room is cleaned once a week with towel change but they can accommodate for multiple cleaning days too if required. Yanina was awesome and super helpful during our stay and provided us with everything that we requested. Location is 10/10 as it is nearby the beach, town square, chedraui, laundromat, lively restaurants (John Gray, Amor y Pez, Breville bakery etc) and the main road to colonia. Highly recommended for short or long stays.

It can get noisy at night due to the nearby restaurants but they usually turn down the music after 1130 for everyones benefit. The place can get highly infested with ants if there are uncovered drinks or food around. Internet can get spotty at night as well as during high traffic hours so conference calls can be a bit tricky. We tested the speed and it was 20 mbp for upload and download. Another issue is one side of the bed was slightly bent so it was a bit uncomfotable to sleep on.

the apartment is perfectly clean and modern with everything you need, a cute balcony, netflix (if you want to chill out at night!). it is located in a great street with lots of restaurants near by and next to a real french bakery that has offerings better than in Paris when I live. the owner of casa la catrina is amazing, responds always within a few minutes to questions and has lots of recommendations for the area. she was so welcoming and fun. the bed was really comfortable and i felt very safe and secure in the building. it felt like coming home at the end of the day. it is a couple of minutes walk from the beach. you won’t be disappointed

Staying at Casa La Catrina was great as not only does the room have everything one needs for a comfortable visit, but also Janina was very gracious and always greeted both David and me with a warm smile and cheerful "¡Buenos Días, chicos!" Moreover, the location of the property is perfect as it is a short walk to the beach and there are stores, cafes, restaurants and laundry facilities nearby.
