Room was small and only one chair and desk but it was fine for our 2 night stay. The views were amazing. The bathroom was very clean and water pressure good. Except for the folks in the room next door who came in very late, the rest of the night was peaceful. We slept well. The walk down to plaza mayor was just 8 minutes and 5 minutes up to the castelo. We took bus line 1 from the train station to plaza mayor. Since our packs were light, we decided to walk up to the hostal. It was relatively easy and straightforward.

There was one long body pillow for the two of us instead of two regular pillows. This was not a big deal since I don’t use a pillow but might be for others.

Very pleasant hostal in superb location at top of town just a few minutes walk from the Plaza Mayor and a wonderful mirador overlooking Cuenca old town. Recommend the latter in the morning light for photography. Very nice, cool bedroom with comfortable beds, plenty of storage space, TV, and a coffee machine. Coffee sachets and cakes/biscuits provided too. Spotlessly clean bathroom with excellent rainhead shower, hairdryer and some toiletries provided. Large free public carpark about 300m further up the hill past the old entrance gateway. Lots of restaurants on the road towards this carpark too. Turn left just past the gateway and you are on the road to the Ciudad Encantada which is worth a visit

Check in was difficult. I arrived at 4pm to find nobody around. Had to wait around outside for 30 mins trying to attract attention from the owner. Maybe this is a bad time to arrive as the adjacent shop was closed. WiFi did not provide any internet connection

Perfect location very near to all the sights.

The room was great, beautiful views and quiet. For the welcome they leave some coffee with a coffee maker and some paste to acompany the coffee. Also, what surprised us were the amenities in the bathroom, including make-up remover and toothbrushes with toothpaste. The parking in 200m away and is easy to find and no problems to park. Also, all the historical sites are withing short walking distance.

The day we arrived we had two soup amenities but after first night we used them and they did not refill them. Apart of it, everything was perfect.

Noisy from street, had to have window open as no air con (I wouldn't expect a/c at this price)
