The property was beautiful and we had a very nice stay! Beds were comfortable and heat worked well during unexpected cold snap. We would stay again.

This house is in a gorgeous area and very convenient from NYC. It was super clean and Gary checked in on us several times. The three main bedrooms are great. The upper-story bedroom would be best for kids.

I spent a the weekend with my 3 college girlfriends and had a great time In the Sharon area. The location has a gorgeous look out point up the hill to the side of the house the house. It is also close drive to a number of scenic walks. It’s also close by to a number of farm markets. We ventured into Millerton NY and found McEnroes farm market and enjoyed food and drinks from the Cider Garden! The house itself is large and has enough rooms to spread out. It’s an older house on the block but was comfortable for our purposes. Be forewarned that the cellular service in the mountainous area is spotty so definitely connect to the house wifi and make sure you load your gps inside the house and take screen shots before venturing out.

My family stayed here for about a week and enjoyed it. The house and property were well maintained, comfortable and nice. Gary was also a very attentive and friendly host. Definitely recommend!

We had a wonderful stay at this peaceful and spacious house. The house is well furnished and quiet. There is a nice kitchen and dining room and a large living room. The beds are comfortable and we slept well. Overall, it was a very relaxing stay.

Incredibly clean and huge home. Great location near the Audubon, and an ideal location for my family. Good-sized bedrooms separate from the spacious living and dining areas. Lots of cozy nooks for curling up with a book, and tons of fun details to spot all over the house. Comfortable beds, fluffy towels, and complete kitchen with all the dishes/pans/etc... you could possibly need for prepping food. One minor con is weak cell-phone signal, however, my experience is that is typical for the area. It was more than made up for with reliable and fast internet.

We had a very relaxing stay over the winter holidays at the house. Its surrounded by woods, and a private nature preserve. So, not too many houses around. The Audubon Nature Sanctuary is close by. It was a relaxing area for walking around and hiking. That part of Connecticut is lovely for driving around too.The house is spacious. There were 3 of us in a house for 8 people (there’s extra fee per night for each person over 2 people). We used just 2 of the 4 rooms. There are 2 bedrooms which use a shared bathroom in the hallway. A master bedroom has its own carpeted bathroom and a carpeted walk-in closet. There’s also a bedroom in the attic, accessible via one of the bedrooms. The large windows in the bedrooms and living rooms are nice - it’s nice to be able to look at the trees. Hardly any cars go by the dead-end road in front, so it feels private. There’s a sunroom which has glass - in the fall or summer it must be lovely looking at the woods. Gary is very interesting to talk to. And he was very nice about having logs for the fireplace. That was my favorite part in the winter evenings, sitting in front of the fireplace!

This property allowed us to section hike the AT through Connecticut. Owner was very accommodating. House was very spacious. Hope to find a similar property as we continue south on the AT.

Plenty of space, plenty to see. We loved it. Could only have enjoyed it more if we had stayed longer. Descriptions were all accurate, and Gary is easy to do business with. Would recommend and return.

This CT home was a peaceful, relaxing stay. There are several bedrooms and the location is beautiful. Gary the owner was responsive and kind. The internet worked well. We enjoyed ourselves and will be back.

We were four female friends attending a prep school reunion so we did not spend much time at the house. The house is spacious, reminiscent of the 1960s. This property provided what we needed: comfortable beds, 2 bathrooms, linens, towels, a well-equipped kitchen where we could prepare breakfast. The upstairs bed room would be ideal for kids, the drawback for us is that it has to be accessed through one of the bedrooms and up the stairs. We opted instead to use the futon in the sun room,which was comfortable. We enjoyed our stay.
