What a wonderful way to spend a week with the Family! There were 20 of us including our children, spouses and 9 grandchildren. The house and property was so amazing with a wonderful pool and breathtaking views of the valley with a beautiful sunset each night. Plenty of room to spread out for the “BIGS” and “Littles” yet we all felt so close with the coziness or our big family! John and Cherise were wonderful during the process and very responsive to our needs during the trip! We came to celebrate our 50th wedding anniversary with all of our children and grandchildren. There were 20 of us and we had a fabulous time. The house had plenty of beds for everyone. Lots of fun activities, and the pool was the real highlight! You would never know you were in a neighborhood as it felt like you were in your own private resort. The kitchen and pantry were very well stocked and made meal prep very easy. We especially loved the large dining room table and kitchen table that made it easy to gather and play games and have a big family dinner. Our hosts were amenable to our needs, and help to make it a lovely experience. Having shopping and restaurants so nearby in Alpine is very convenient. We have wonderful memories to last a lifetime!

Our stay at the Tavern Hideout exceeded our expectations! The property and home are beautiful and well maintained. We were a group of 14, including several small children, and everyone enjoyed the stay with plenty for all ages to do. The host provided plenty of bath and pool towels and extra blankets which was a huge plus for us. The host met us upon checkin to walk through the house and give us clear directions on how to run the pool and hot tub, as well as what to expect during the week of our stay. The hosts were quick to respond to all of our inquiries during our stay, as well as the many months leading up to our stay. We are beyond pleased with our stay and highly recommend this location for large families.

Property was great! Inside so much space and so many beds. The kitchen was well stocked and had everything we needed to make meals! Outside was beautiful. We loved the pool and jacuzzi. Wright Field is literally next to the property and made for a gray little hike during our stay!

We really enjoyed staying and playing at this wonderful home! The whole house was well stocked, very clean and really comfortable. The host was friendly and helpful. Definitely a great place to stay.

Management was a delight House is very clean. Daily amenities are provide, which was extremely helpful. Pool and spa areas were awesome. Games and pool toys for the kids. Alpine is quaint and only 30 mins from San Diego.

We had a group of 19 adults staying at the Tavern Hideout. There are plenty of rooms and beds, and the kitchen is fully stocked with everything we needed to prepare big meals for our group. We absolutely loved the pool, jacuzzi, and outdoor areas. Communication with John and Cherise leading up to our stay was great, and Cherise met us for check-in to give us a walkthrough and make sure we had everything we needed. Everyone in our group agreed this is the best rental we've stayed in, especially for such a large group. We'd absolutely love to stay here again!

John and Cherise are spectacular hosts! They showed us around, and explained all the house rules. Communicating with them was easy, and they responded pretty quickly any time. The house had plenty of towels, blankets, cooking equipment, and games. The grocery store was 10 minutes away & Downtown SD was only 30 minutes away, so nothing was too far. Thank you again! We had a group of 15-17 stay, and it was perfect. Thank you again!!!

We chose this property for our annual family vacation for 14. Our expectations are quite high when it comes to the details, and our hosts definitely exceeded them! It is the most beautifully kept and decorated property. And there was absolutely nothing they haven’t thought of and provided. Every one of us is still raving about this stay. The home, the amenities, and the hosts are unsurpassed in our experience.

Alpine is a quiet place to stay,safe and easily accessible.Our place is Tavern Hideout which is nice,clean and lots of space for the 13 people.One room not occupied.We enjoyed our stay and all kids are happy and swimming is enjoyable.The owner was here when we arrived and showed us the best way to get things working and text them for any questions.Cherise was so nice and accommodating.Thanks Cherise.

Our youth group thoroughly enjoyed this property! There was plenty of entertainment to keep lots of high schoolers busy! the home was cozy and well stocked- we hope to be back one day!

Our family of three generations definitely enjoyed this spot. The pool was a huge hit and the cousins all enjoyed swimming in it several times a day in between the sight seeing .. The bedrooms were spacious and accommodated our whole gang.. The kitchen was well equipped and two fridges were an added bonus.. thanks so much for a memorable time.

Wonderful stay! Well kept and fun home with excellent owners. We had a mini families reunion and there’s was plenty to do for all the kids!

Slept 20 of us so easily and the backyard, pool, spa, kitchen was absolutely beautiful and gave us multiple gorgeous sunsets.

The house is beautiful and has literally anything you could ever want or need. Tons of sleeping space and all the beds were very comfortable. We met Cherise at the house for a tour of the property and she told us everything we needed to know which was very helpful. Loved the coffee beans in the kitchen it was a nice touch!! The backyard is so nice and beautiful we never left! And all the pool toys were so much fun! My mom and I are hoping to return eventually for a family trip as well! 10/10 would recommend

2 Grandparents, 6 Parents, 6 Children (ages 7-10) This home was perfect for us! The grounds are beautiful! Gardens galore including a fountain and stream near the lovely pergola perfect for morning yoga. Beautiful pool complete with waterfall and slide beside the hot tub was used by all of us. Bonus thank yous to the hosts for ordering the string of 80 degree days we enjoyed in March! The hosts provide more water toys and floaties than our large group could even use. A surprise hit was the arcade machine in the game room! The kitchen is equipped with everything we could wish for from the Kitchen Aide mixers to more appliances than we have in our own kitchens, and more than enough dishes and serving pieces. Our family of 14 made breakfasts, some lunches, and several dinners on site. Love the diningroom table that seats up to 16. Also love the outdoor kitchen complete with refrigerator. The grill worked perfectly. The bedrooms provided us with lots of sleeping options - cousins together in one room or children adjacent to parents in bunkbed rooms, or both on different nights. There is so much space that we could all be alone or together in large groups or small. The beds are comfortable, the towels plentiful (both pool and bath), and the bathroom supplies are just right. The adjacent nature area was a bonus we didn't expect. Some of the more athletic among us ran 5 miles on the hilly paths every morning. Others (including the kids) hiked at a more leisurely pace. The kids lloved climbing the rocks. We also went to the San Diego Zoo, The San Diego Safari Park, Children's beach to see the sea lions and to the adjacent San Diego beach for the sand and surf. The hosts were fun to work with - They left us Girl Scout cookies and more than enough coffee beans for the entire week. Everyone in our group gave this vacation week a 10 out of 10. There were even some actual tears among the youngest when they realized we had to leave. Thank you for a vacation to remember!!
