Our host was lovely, very helpful and very generous with her home grown organic lemons and other welcoming items! The location is great, one minute from Le Terrazze a very nice bar/restaurant, five minutes from Magaggiari beach (keep walking to reach the public beach and take the parasol which is in the cupboard under the stairs) and five to ten minutes to the main square. Plenty of parking in the neighbouring streets. The house is on four levels. We moved the table and chairs down from the kitchen (top level) to the terrace and basically lived there. Very lively atmosphere in the town centre especially on weekend evenings. This was our first visit to Sicily but we intend to return.

A middle rail on the stairs leading up to the kitchen would have made us less anxious about the toddler going up there, but then he didn't really need to.

The house has great disposition, sunny terrace with summer kitchen and shower is great for summer meals, nice evenings and drying swimsuits and towels. AC and fans help to keep temperature nice and cool. Owners are kind and very helpful. There are multiple stoves, fridges and recyclation bins.

Beware of the narrow pipes - the toilet paper clogage is a real thing.
