This home is better than what it appears on VRBO. It's incredibly clean, we thought it was brand new. The property is peaceful and there are probably about 3 miles of trails accessible from the house. If you're looking to just get away I wouldn't consider any place else. Perfect for elderly and kids. TONS of space.

My family and I enjoyed immensely our stay at the cottage. Beautiful property nestled in the countryside. We visited the surrounding towns of Lee, Lenox, Great Barrington and Stockbridge, and of course magical Tanglewood. The cottage was the perfect place to come back home to and relax. Quiet, charming, very clean with modern amenities. The host was attentive and responded immediately. We loved our vacation at the Berkshires and would not hesitate to return.

We loved staying here! It was so quiet and relaxing and the house itself is immaculate. There are several trails for hiking on the property and we ended up using all of them over our week's stay. We had a small issue with one of the bathroom fixtures and the owner responded really quickly so there were no issues. We'd stay here again without any hesitation.

I have a love for authentic log cabins and Cathy's place was exceptional from the minute I arrived with my little dog. It was so peaceful and fully equipped I didn't want to leave to enjoy the sights of the Berkshires. But I did! It was incredibly clean, organized and tastefully done. I can't wait to return again some day.

Kathy’s cottage was precisely as advertised. It’s hard to say what was best, but I would venture to say it was the beautiful porch overlooking a beautiful always mowed lawn and beyond it a forest. It was close enough to all the attractions of the Berkshires including Jacob’s Pillow, Tanglewood, Shakespeare and company and the Barrington stage. Every night we saw another performance. We hiked about 15 different trails. The house itself is well equipped, the air conditioning extremely comfortable as were the beds, dishwasher. washer dryers and everything one could need for an extended stay. There is no question that if this beautiful home is available again we would rent it without a single thought or concern.

Friends getaway

Winter get-away
We had a wonderful stay. Skied at Butternut, went to MassMOCA and Eric Carle Museum, and relaxed. Plenty of reading by the gas fireplace.
The house is adorable and was very clean.
The location was about 20-30 minutes away from most restaurants and grocery stores.
We had a wonderful time and would definitely go back again.

Highly recommend
This was the second visit for myself & two quilting friends. We thoroughly enjoy everything about this property & location. We hiked every day, took a quilting class in nearby Lee &, because it is convenient to everything, took in several holiday events. We can’t say enough positive things about the property, location & hosts.

Wonderful Stay!
We loved the cabin and short of a shovel to push aside some surprise snow and slush from the porch (slippery) there was nothing the cabin was missing for comfort and relaxation. Would not hesitate to recommend this for families and couple alike. It was perfect for our dogs as well.

The cabin was well stocked with all necessary kitchen equipment.The area had a great hiking trail.Our dog loved her walks.15 minutes away is Great Barrington with many excellent dining choices.Super private location.We would love to return.

A wonderful stay
The house was wonderful! The kitchen was incredibly well-stocked, the instructions for everything absolutely clear, the place was clean and beautiful. The communication with the host was timely and helpful. We were four adults and the space was perfect for that, with two full bathrooms and plenty of living/hanging out space. The listing is very accurate, and everything was as promised. The area itself was beautiful, as well. Just a wonderful, lovely stay. We'd recommend the place to anyone.

Cozy getaway for a month
Very clean and well equipped for a long term stay. They thought of everything! Owner was very responsive to any issues that came up. Beautiful wooded lot with walking trails, our two dogs loved it! Be mindful that the long and windy road is only partly paved; the rest is gravel. A bit of a long drive to get to a grocery store, gas station, restaurant, etc.. Overall, very pleased with choosing this rental!

The weather was terrible with alot of rain so it was difficult to enjoy the days outside the house. But the house itself was very pleasant, if a bit isolated, and the large, covered porch was a wonderful place to read!

Fantastic weekend in the mountains
This was our second time at the cottage. It was wonderful. Its clean, peaceful and relaxing. We hiked, visited the Norman Rockwell Museum, and Edith Wharton's home, The Mount.
The home is perfect for couples and families. We are already planning our next visit.

Property owners were so easy to work with the cabin is like brand new location isn't too far from the stores but just far enough to get away it's also dog friendly so that helps allot over all it was an eventful trip

Oasis in the Woods
My family of 4 [Kids 9yr and 6yr]stayed here during spring break. The check-in was a breeze, the cabin was clean and well appointed and the owner was responsive and very understanding. There was plenty to do nearby and hiking trails to and from the cottage. Would definitely recommend and stay again!

Peaceful Getaway
Great cabin! Beautiful inside and out, had everything you could possibly need. Gas fireplace was warm and cozy, porch was a fine place to take in the serene surroundings. Comfortable and relaxing stay, highly recommend.

Ideal getaway spit
This was the perfect place for a long weekend getaway with our “Quilting” ladies group. The cabin is wonderful. Everything you need is provided as far as linens & basics. You simply bring all food items, clothing & gear. The temperature during our visit ranged from single digits at night to 20s during the day. It was so cozy inside thanks to the gas stove. In spite of the cold we took advantage of the hiking trails & ventured out every day. Our daughters joined us for a special overnight & there was plenty of room to accommodate us all. Cathy & Maddy are the perfect hostesses., thank you. We highly recommend this rental & definitely plan to return.

A gem!!
We were lucky enough to book a long weekend at this beautiful home and we were surprised and delighted at every moment. The cabin is the perfect balance of having that log cabin feel but being brand-new and sparkling clean. We felt away from it all but not isolated. Our almost-three-year-old had a blast and our dog was instantly at ease. The trails around the property are beautiful, with the longest loop leading to a pond with more trails, perfect for cross country skiing, snow shoeing, or walking. We imagine this would be a terrific place to stay in every season and we will certainly be back! Thank you Cathy and family!

Lovely cabin with pristine property to explore
Loved this cabin so comfortable wintertime fun great place to bring a dog plenty of paths to walk very private everything you need as far as tableware cookware the gas stove was so relaxing rated 10 out of 10 loved seeing Cathy’s henhouse along the trail 💜

Perfect winter escape
Couple and dog from Boston loved our long weekend escape to the Berkshires. Cozy log cabin house, great gas fireplace, well equipped kitchen and most importantly a great yard for the dog and snowshoe trails for us all. Would love to come back when we can enjoy the porch and fire pit, and also bring a few friends (post pandemic).

Amazing Cottage, perfect family getaway
This is such an amazing cottage! It is so beautiful, clean and fully stocked with anything you may need for your stay. The property is private without being too remote, Grocery stores and restaurants are 15 mins away. We ordered take out from the Knox trail Inn, which was so delicious! We rented snow shoes from the owners and enjoyed the trails around the property. The owners are amazing and have created such a warm and wonderful cottage for others to share. We hope to come back soon. This is the perfect family getaway to create memories with your family. We highly recommend.

Wonderful Break from it All
We had a wonderful long weekend here. The cabin is exactly as pictured - very well maintained (and lovely helpful hosts), nicely furnished, comfy beds and bedding, and a lot of fun things to do both inside (bumper pool, board games, etc.) and outside (your own hiking trails, plenty of room for our dogs to run). Beautiful Gem In Otis
Beautiful log cabin in the woods. Within 30 min. drive to Great Barrington, Lenox and Stockbridge and skiing. House is charming, warm, cozy and comfortable with hiking right outside the back. Cathy and Maddy are terrific hosts and respond very quickly! Wonderful place to stay in the winter and can't wait to go back in the summer!

Cozy and Quaint Getaway
What a wonderful mini staycation with the family! The cabin is so beautiful. Close to a lot of attractions but we really just hung out and enjoyed the amenities. Fireplace, grill, fire pit for s’mores and the trails. Dog friendly which was a must for us. The owners were so communicative and answered any and all questions in a timely manner. I highly recommend!!!

Perfect Family Getaway for all ages
The property was spotless when we arrived and very well equipped with everything we would need for our stay. Our kids ( 3 and 6) loved the trails on the property and my parents loved being so close to the AT (they logged about 12 miles). We took advantage of the games that were provided as well as the awesome porch! We would def recommend this property to anyone- we made great memories!!! Thank you to Cathy and Maddie for a great experience!!
