The location was perfect!
Hot tub very clean, warm temp on a cold night.

We drove down from Columbus to escape to a cabin for Christmas due to a long year full of sacrifice and hard work that we are happy to put behind us! The booking was simple, the directions to the cabin were thorough and straight forward as was the check in process.
The cabin was much larger than I anticipated with tons of room to play and stretch out and explore! The weather was beautiful and the property was perfect to have a fire and hike around! There was a spacious hot tub and lots of porch space! The cabin had everything we needed to make each meal at home (based on what was listed ahead of time, we also brought our own stuff) which was so nice. Every room was clean and spacious and the beds were comfortable. I can’t say enough good things! The host was responsive when I had questions and the hot spot provided to make up for lack of cell service was really helpful. We had an absolute blast and a Christmas vacation we will remember forever!! Thank you so much. We will absolutely be recommending to our friends and hopefully booking again in the future!

A wonderful little getaway in a private cabin with a wonderful jacuzzi! Very clean lodging, well equipped kitchen. A wonderful weekend!

Our family booked this nice cabin for a weekend together. We cooked all our meals in and were very impressed with how well the kitchen was stocked as far as cookware, cutlery, etc. Heads up: no dishwasher.
We loved the wood burning fireplace in the main living area which got used nightly. Firepit in the back was also so nice.
Beds were very comfortable. Plenty of extra blankets.
Bathroom on the main floor was quite small, but worked well for us.
I think the cabin could do with better lighting overall, but that didn't deter us from completely enjoying our stay.
10/10 would stay again.

The cabin was beautiful.Meticuliously kept and fresh clean smelling. Close to Hocking Hills, Ash Cave, and Old Man's Cave. Excellent hiking area. Much more to see and do close by, but chose to enjoy the hot tub and fire place. Owner- manager was very accommodating and pleasant.

the code to get in the front door was never sent ... had to call to get the code .... not fun with very limited cell service ... but after that it was all good

We had a great time at the Cardinal cabin. It is located in a remote area, so quiet and beautiful. We enjoyed roasting marshmallows at the fire pit, looking at the stars late at night and sitting in the hot tub. There was plenty of space for our family of 6- spacious but still had a cozy cabin feel. We appreciated the board games and outdoor games which made for good family fun. The cabin is not too far from I great hiking spots in the Hocking Hills area. We enjoyed it so much we are thinking of coming back to see the area at a different time of year.

I would definitely stay at this property again---it was well-stocked and we brought much more than we needed! We loved the Blackstone grill and th fire pit!!

Perfect place for our family of 7 to spread out or hang out together (5 adults and 2 teens). The driveway was slightly daunting, but worth it for the privacy and beautiful view! As warned, Verizon doesn’t have service at the cabin and you quickly realize how many apps you rely on (weather, banking, maps, etc), but the phone (hot spot) at the cabin worked until we went into The Coffee Emporium in Logan (highly recommend, pet friendly ). The major hiking parks are about a 20 min drive. We drove an hour to Chillicothe to see the Tecumseh drama and it was well worth it.

Our family loves our stay at the Cardinal Cabin. It was close to all of the Hocking Hills hikes and provided the perfect place to come home to every night. The kids loved the fire pit, hot tub, and various games in the cabin. We have a family of five, but the cannon could have easily accommodated more. We highly recommend this stay!

From start to finish everything was great from communication, info and hospitality. Hands down one of our best vacations yet. Definitely one for the books. Memories were made,laughter was sheared and gorgeous views for miles.

Overall had a great experience! Super clean cabin with an easy check-in/out process. My friends and I had a great time! My only complaint was figuring out how to get there/the steep gravel hill to get up to it but that was probably on me for not watching the provided video ahead of time to ensure that I knew the way. Overall had a great experience and would recommend!

We had a great time! I had multiple hikes on the schedule, but my kids had so much fun at the cabin that we had to cancel some of the hikes. The cabin had plenty of room and we enjoyed playing cornhole, games, and also the hot tub and fire pit. Thank you very much!

This was our first time in Hocking Hills. We all loved it and had a great time! Cabin was beautiful, located in the woodsy area and very private, just like we wanted for privacy. It was very quiet and relaxing but close enough to all the major attractions and activities we wanted to do with the kids. We were very pleased with the trip and would definitely recommend it to others and plan on returning ourselves in the near future .

We enjoyed our stay, however, almost our entire group ended up with a stomach bug. Only three of us were able to get one hike in on the day before check out. 😞

We just popped down from columbus for a little weekend stay. The fireplace and hot tub were amazing and kept us cozy all weekend. We went out for a hike at Conkles Hollow, but mostly stayed inside. Perfect stay!

This is a great cabin. It is spacious with an open floor plan, a loft, and basement. The nearby cabin was far enough to allow for a lot of privacy. Lots of trees. Beautiful night sky. Nice deck. The hot tub is great. We enjoyed our stay and will likely be back!

This property was clean, well-maintained, and perfect to get away from the bustle of life. Our kids loved hiking the trails near the cabin and spending time in the hot tub. The cabin was extremely clean and spacious and had plenty of room for everyone.

We are so happy we booked this cabin for Christmas. This was a great place for two small families to spend time away from home. The cabin was comfortable and cozy and quiet. A day before we left the owner reached out to us to let us know there was a snow forecasted and made sure we had a vehicle that could get us to the cabin safely. I would definitely recommend this to anyone looking to get away from everything.

It was a nice cabin. We called the owner because we were lost, and the owner answered and stayed on the phone with us until we arrived at the cabin. He went above and beyond the requirements to assist us!!! It was appreciated!!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at The Cardinal. The cabin was everything we expected and more. Loved the fire put a short walk off the porch. Hot tub was amazing. The cabin had everything we needed, and the beds were super comfy. The owner was very hands on and actually helped us find our way :) all in all was a very peaceful relaxing weekend!

Perfect getaway for two couples celebrating their anniversaries. Close to hiking, shopping and even a nice dinner at the Kindred Spirit.

We really enjoyed our stay. The cabin was clean, quaint, and nicely equipped. The setting was serene. Lee (owner/manager) call the short while before our arrival to see if we had any questions so we can making sure everything was okay.

Our family stayed in the Cardinal Cabin. We had a wonderful time. The cottage was extremely clean and we had plenty of room for the 10 of us! We enjoyed the hot tub, the grill and the campfire.
Every day we did an excursion and it was only a 20 minute ride to get to all the attractions.
We would definitely stay again at the cardinal if we come back to Hocking Hills!

The perfect home away from home. We even had a cardinal and his mate visit us on the deck. Road was an easy drive with our Honda Odyssey in July. Would love to rent again in the future.
