We rented this house for the Thanksgiving weekend and to stay through the Carolina- Clemson game. It was me and my older teens. This house was a perfect respite from the stress of the world and gave me such great bonding time with my kids. As mentioned in other reviews the house has literally everything you might need. I was able to make all of my tailgate food with no problem! We built fires in the fire pit, roasted s’mores, enjoyed the sunsets and more. I can’t recommend this house enough and it’s definitely the number one VRBO I’ve ever rented.
It’s perfect for our family- the master is on the first floor and one bedroom is upstairs and one bedroom is downstairs. There is also a ramp to the main level from outside which was helpful with suitcases. I loved the open flow of the downstairs main room. Every appliance they have is top of the line. The mattresses and pillows were super comfy as well!
Our friends rented the house next door so we enjoyed being able to hang out but also have space with our families.
I also saw at least six deer roaming the property one morning. Just loved seeing that!
My only question after leaving is if we should rent it again in the winter OR in the summer so we can fully enjoy the lake!

We enjoyed the property very much. We had a few minor issues and the host was very responsive. Beautiful view and location. Rented a boat one day and thoroughly enjoyed our time on the water. Saw deer each morning and a beautiful sunset each evening. Had a great time.

House is gorgeous, spacious and very well stocked with EVERYTHING needed! Great location, private and beautiful view of the lake. Host communucation was EXCELLENT, and his hospitality was impeccable! I am a return quest and this stay still far exceeded my expectations!

A wonderful house on Lake Murray! The house is beautiful, spacious, clean and comfortable. The views of the Lake (both sunrise and sunset) are simply awesome! We were very impressed by how well-stocked the house was. We have stayed at many lake houses and right away we could tell that the Owners anticipated our every need! Jim and Vickie were a pleasure to deal with and quick to answer any questions. Thank you so much for sharing this beautiful home with us. A wonderful time was had by all. We would love to come back in the future!

This is our fourth year. We love this property! The owners and manager are great and there is so much room. We appreciate all of the extras it makes the stay so much better. We are going to plan another moms weekend soon!!

This was a wonderful house with all of the amenities. There is nothing overlooked. We are big coffee drinkers and appreciated the variety and how well stocked it was. The lake is unbelieveable and very nice big private back yard. It was our daughter's graduation weekend from USC "Go Gamecocks!" and it was a perfect house for family where you don't have to share bathrooms. When we had questions the response was very quick and the owner was so accommodating. We feel like this will be the perfect place to spend another graduation weekend in 2 years!!! I would definitely recommend this vacation house to anyone who wants to relax and enjoy family and the outdoors. Thank you...we will be back!!

Great property with terrific lake views/access. Fire pit, grill and kayaks were nice amenities. Very clean with everything we needed for our stay. Only miscue was the VRBO notice with the code to access the property had extra digits added. Owner was easily available by phone to clear that up. Would definitely stay again.

We just finished our 9 day stay at this beautiful house. Jim was very responsive and met all of our needs. The view was simply beautiful and the location not to far from anything. Would 100 percent stay at this location again.

We’ve been coming to the lake for 15 years but this was our first time staying here and it did not disappoint. Gorgeous views from all three floors, the dock space is amazing. The owner and property manager were responsive and extremely accommodating. Looking forward to coming back!

Beautiful Lake Hideaway
Our family of four thoroughly enjoyed this lake house hideaway. It was exactly as described and offered upscale accommodations on a quiet part of the lake. Our two young kids loved playing in the large back green space and by the lake’s shore. The house is conveniently located near a state park which allowed us to drop our boat a few minutes away. We used the beautiful and well appointed kitchen frequently throughout our stay. It’s a chef’s dream! The bedrooms and bathrooms were comfortable and spacious, offering us plenty of room to spread out. We would definitely rent this property again.

Best family vacation
This was by far the best family vacation we have ever had. We came down because we will be moving to Chapin Next year and we all agreed even after we live only 20 minutes from this place we will be going back for vacation. We are already talking/planning about booking again this year. It was amazing.

Paradise on the lake
The property was EXACTLY the way it was described in the description.
Very comfortable, SO clean , roomy and organized. Best of all it had all the AT HOME conveniences you could possibly need. We were all impressed with the decor of the place, elegant yet relaxed. The beds were VERY a comfortable.
The location is the best…… last house before the National Park , VERY private.
The check out procedure was the easiest of any rental I have ever used.
In summation this is the best rental we have stayed in, we are already planning on going back!

Perfect family weekend
This house on Lake Murray was ideal for our family gathering. It is comfortable and spacious and provided the exact amount of bedroom combinations for my husband and myself (in the master room), my daughter and her husband (downstairs) and my son and his children (upstairs). Each room was roomy with its own bathroom. The house was spotlessly clean and was equipped with plenty of "toys" to keep all age groups entertained. The view is fabulous and the owner is incredibly responsive to any inquiry we had before and during the rental. Finding this gem earned me "Great pick, Mom" compliments from everyone - which in my family is quite a feat! The house is located about 45 - 60 minutes from Columbia which could be good or bad depending on why you are visiting the area. It was great to away from the city (and the traffic!) but made for a trek if you need to get into town. If we are in the area again, I would stay here again. We loved it!

Lake Murray Home in Prosperity, SC is a must!
Our experience with this home and the owners was amazing! The house was extremely well kept, clean, and spacious. It had every amenity we could possibly need. There was plenty of room for our family of 12. The views of Lake Murray were spectacular and the backyard firepit provided a great outside escape as well. I would recommend this home to anyone looking spend time on Lake Murray.

Relaxing USC football long weekend
Beautiful lakefront property. The ladies loved the gourmet kitchen with high end appliances. Very well appointed. Property is set up with three bedrooms, each on a separate floor with ensuite bath. Ideal for 3 couples travelling together or a larger family. Sleeps 8 comfortably. We enjoyed the gas fireplace in the living area and the firepit by the lake.

Wonderful home. We felt like we were in a resort. The house is beautifully decorated!! The home was supplied with all basic neccessities. There was even mayo, mustard, & ketchup in the refrigerator! We will be back again.
