Most relaxing vacation ever
This was one of our best vacations ever. House was immaculate. Enjoyed sitting in the screened in porch listening to the sounds of nature. No traffic just a few boats passing by. Fishing off the dock was fun.... caught some nice catfish. Owner/neighbor was very friendly. Hope he will open the Blue House again for renters. Would love to go again. Lake Wateree is a super great place.

Our first time using VRBO, and our first stay in South Carolina. We were pleased with both. The house was immaculate and comfortable, with perfect views of the lake. I enjoyed the hammock chair swing on the dock so much that I am going to buy one for myself asap.
We were a bit surprised at the lack of public swimming areas nearby. Apparently boating is the popular sport here, and we did see some beautiful boats go cruising by.
If you are looking for nightlife and entertainment, this is perhaps not the area for you. But it was perfect for a quiet stress free week for us. Just what we needed. Thank you

Our first time using VRBO, and our first stay in South Carolina. We were pleased with both. The house was immaculate and comfortable, with perfect views of the lake. I enjoyed the hammock chair swing on the dock so much that I am going to buy one for myself asap.

Great long weekend escape. Upon arrival place was beyond clean and well stocked with needed supplies. House is very comfortable and quite. Location is very nice with great view on the lake. Neighbor hood is very quite. Dock is very nice and the kids were able to catch some fish nice little bonus.

It is a small, comfortable “cottage” with an expansive view over Lake Wateree. We enjoyed the solitude. The kitchen is amply equipped, with plenty of utensils, mixing bowls, measuring cups and baking pans. The leather couch and beds are very comfortable.

This was our first time using VRBO and we were so glad that it was such a great experience. Our group was my husband, son, dog and I. The house was clean and any communication we sent to the owner was quickly answered. We enjoyed swinging on the dock and even took the kayaks out around the lake. It was such a relaxing place to visit. My son uses a wheelchair and it was pretty accessible. There was one step into the sleeping areas, which the owner told us about beforehand. He got around great and we all had a wonderful and relaxing time. My son said that this rates higher than our trip to Kentucky because the wi-fi was better here. I definitely feel like he's missing the spirit of getting away to the lake, but he was right- great internet connection, he even managed to do some school work, which I'm sure he wished he hadn't brought up the internet being great at that point. We would totally stay here again.

We loved our stay at the Blue House. The lake is so beautiful and serene. We enjoyed watching all the wildlife. The house has everything you need. We loved the screened porch. Randy was very helpful. The neighborhood is very pet friendly and our 2 pups had a great time!

We stayed at The Blue House October 3rd to 12th. We thoroughly enjoyed our time there. It was such a beautiful, relaxing, fun time. Our dog Sammy had a great time too.
When we arrived and saw the house, dock, property and views of the lake I told my husband that it is even prettier than the pictures.
We tried the kayaks, road on our little pontoon, spent a lot time on the dock fishing and just enjoying it.
To anyone who is wanting a really, really nice (and very comfortable) place to vacation on Lake Wateree I recommend The Blue House.

Wonderful getaway
My wife and I stayed 5 nights here with our 2 dogs. The property is absolutely fabulous.
The house is very clean, neat, and nicely furnished. The dock is large and a very nice place to sip on a drink, fish, swim or just relax. The most comfortable and restful vacation we’ve ever taken.

Clean, well-maintained property with beautiful view of Lake Wateree. One bathroom, but the house is spacious enough to accommodate 4 - 6 people. There are several options for outdoor seating including the large screened in porch. Very relaxing and quiet area. We would not hesitate to return to this property in the future.

Awesome Birthday Vacation
I rented this property to celebrate my wife’s and my son’s birthdays! This was the first time I had ever used VRBO so I was a little skeptical. Boy was I ever wrong. The owner was very quick to answer any questions I had. When we arrived, the property was absolutely spotless. The photos in the ad are awesome but still don’t do the property any justice. The view was absolutely spectacular. The dock was the favorite of the kids for swimming and fishing. Overall great experience.
If you have any idea about renting this place, DO IT! You will not be disappointed! We will be back!

Wonderful getaway!
This house and location was perfect for the quiet escape our family was looking for. The view was amazing, the swimming area fantastic, and the house is pristine.
It is a new rental, so hasn't had time to build up some of the things you might expect in the house. The kitchen is supplied very basically... and we couldn't find some things I expected, like a strainer, but for the most part, we had no issues.
I would suggest you take plenty of bottled water though. The only issue I had was that the water smells and tastes very strongly. Also be sure to pack laundry supplies.
We would gladly return.

Great Experience
This property was perfect for our family. The house is a perfect get away. Everything is neat, clean, and as advertised. We were able to bring our boat and leave it tied to the dock the entire stay. I highly recommend this property as we will be back.

A nice place to spend vacation!
My family and I decided to stay in this lovely home for about a week, and we can confidently say that it was one of the best trips we've ever taken. The house was outstanding; it was clean, spacious, and perfectly supported our needs for the time being. This lakefront property allowed us to have so much fun throughout our stay. The water access easily provided us with the ability to conveniently use our jet ski and enjoy our time. This place was very safe, comfortable, and a great way to spend some quality time with family. I highly recommend !

Great Little Cottage
This was our first time visiting Lake Wateree and we loved how peaceful it was! We will definitely rent this cute little cottage again! It was very clean and had everything we needed. And pet friendly!! Loved the screened porch and WiFi worked great.
