We enjoyed just over a month at April's house. The check in and access process was incredibly easy. Enough can't be said about this location. Easy access to cross over Balboa Blvd to the boardwalk, beach and ocean. At the end of the street is the harbor with a walking path of it's own. We were able to walk everywhere from the Wedge area all the way to Newport Pier and the surrounding restaurants. Having bikes included was a great way to go a little farther including the Lido area. The home was the perfect size, has comfortable beds, and plenty of kitchen accessories for cooking and staying in. We would stay here again for a return trip to Newport.

Our stay was perfect, the house is very comfortable. The property is like new all around and in a prime location on the peninsula- not too far removed from the action but not noisy and on a street with essentially zero traffic. April is a fantastic host.

The perfect location between the beach and the harbor and close to the ferry for a short ride to the island. We appreciated having the garage to park our vehicle, something you don't always get with a rental in Balboa. The accommodations were very nice, clean, with a fabulous shower and comfortable beds.

Excellent location on Balboa peninsula you can see the marina from the balcony and the beach is a 5 minute walk. The condo is in great shape and very comfortable and perfect for our beach getaway you won’t regret staying here especially with the host April who took great care to make sure everything was good

Tucked away on Cypress Street between the Bay and the beach, this well-kept property allows you to take advantage of everything the Peninsula, Island and Newport Beach offer but away from any noise and hurly burly. Off-street garaged parking to boot! Very pleasantly appointed.

Tucked away on Cypress Street between the Bay and the beach, this well-kept property allows you to take advantage of everything the Peninsula, Island and Newport Beach offer but away from any noise and hurly burly. Off-street garaged parking to boot! Very pleasantly appointed.

Great place
Overall, the place is amazing. April was a great host and her place was perfect for us. I would say that if you are staying in Newport and don't want to be on the beach this is the best place close enough to walk to the beach without getting the foot traffic of the boardwalk.

My 2 teenage sons and I stayed here for a week. We loved the location -- walking distance to the beach and the ferry, cool ocean breeze, and away from major tourist crowds. The apartment is very clean and upgraded. April, the host, has made it very comfortable for the visitors; it comes with bicycles, beach chairs and umbrella, canoe, towels, etc. The only recommendation I have for future renters is that if you like to cook your meals, the kitchen may be lacking cooking tools and simple spices that I have found in other rentals.
Overall, we love the place and really appreciate April's prompt and professional replies.

Perfect beach getaway!
Such a great place to stay. Right next to Balboa Fun Zone but the street still seemed so quiet and private. Great small beach walking distance that was perfect for our one year old to play in the sand and water without having to worry about the waves with Newport Beach still walking distance right across the street. The house had all the minimal essentials you need to stay in and cook and beach cruisers available to get you where you need so you don’t have to drive. It was the perfect getaway for my family and we can’t wait to book again!
