Babalao was a lovely place to stay. The staff were helpful and I had everything I needed during my stay. As a solo traveller I felt safe and the property is located close to the most beautiful beaches. Would definitely stay again.

Jeg var ret skeptisk i forhold til de mange positive anmeldelser men det var der slet ingen grund til at være! Ejer og manager er fantastiske og står altid til rådighed til hvad end man har brug for. Stedet er meget hyggeligt og det hele har en meget "hjemmelig" følelse. Deres aircondition er virkelig god og der er mange steder at hænge ud og slappe af. Personalet er også utrolig venlig! Sengene er hårde men man ligger faktisk overraskende godt.

Der mangler lidt hovedrengøring på værelserne. Fx vinduerne og armaturet på badeværelset. Derudover har vi haft lidt bøvl med restauranten. Jeg tror ikke vi har haft en hel dag, hvor der ikke er blevet lavet fejl i vores bestilling eller har glemt noget på morgenmads tallerkenen. En dag glemte de også helt halvdelen af bestillingen. Det er alt sammen hvad der kan ske, men det er værd at notere, hvis man i forvejen ikke er stærk til engelsk. Derudover troede vi at stedet lå tættere på stranden men det gjorde det ikke. Det tager ca. 3 min at gå der ned. "Tæppet"/lagnet man ligger med er også meget kort. Jeg er 170 cm og det kunne kun nå op til midt på maven.

Great location and very friendly staff. The host Max welcomed us and made sure we had a fantastic stay with great advices. Fresh rooms, cleaned, working air conditioning and fridge. Cosy and very beautiful room. Tasty and variable breakfast. Walk to the beach is about 2 min. We experienced a great show with barbecue on the Wednesday at Babalao. Everything was 10⭐️

This is a magical gem, a tropical oasis, that really took us by surprise - in the best possible way! The owner and staff are so nice, so service minded, you get all the help you need. Easy, fast, effective. And relaxed. They are constantly there for you. It’s close to everything, but still the most quiet and chill place when you are inside the area. Perfect combination for us. We loved Babalao! And: it’s even much nicer than the pictures show. Go there for your Nungwi/Kendwa stay. You will not regret it!

La propreté, personnel au petit soin, un patron toujours à l’écoute et disponible qui vous donne plein de conseils et un excellent emplacement tout près de la plage et des restaurants. Petit plus bien pratique pour les personnes qui ont leur vol de retour tardif : la possibilité de laisser ses bagages à la réception et de profiter de la dernière journée avec sanitaires à disposition.

The location was great. It was super close to the beach. The common area was welcoming and beautiful with the pool. The owners are super cool and kind. We also liked the breakfasts and the fact they had an espresso machine! Both my friend and I said it was like being home in the fact that we felt so comfortable and safe. Enjoy the hammocks and pool while there.

Ahmet, Max and Elena welcomed me with juice at the entrance. They gave me very useful information about Nungwi and were very friendly. The location of the hotel is great and the breakfast had very delicious things that changed every day. The barbecue party and local band gave the guests a wonderful memory. The employees answered our questions sincerely.

Another excellent stay at Babalao. We missed it so much we came back and had a similarly excellent time. Clean rooms and a great atmosphere. Being able to relax in the pool before heading to the airport was perfect. Thanks again.

진짜 후기 잘 안남기는데 너무 좋아서 남깁니다. 일단 숙소 바로 앞 비치 엄청 이쁨. 주인이 엄청 친절함. 빨래 무료로 해줌.. 추가로 체크아웃하는 날 투어가 1시 정도에 끝나는데 다음 사람 오후6시 정도 되어야 온다고 레이트 체크아웃까지 해주고 샤워도 맘편히 하라고 배려 엄청 해줍니다. 에어컨도 좋고 숙소 자체가 엄청 깔끔해요!

We stayed at Babalao bungalows for four nights and there are many reasons why I would return It is literally two minutes walk to one of the most beautiful beaches on the island The hotel is tastefully decorated and very well-maintained The Wi-Fi is exceptional which is important to people like myself who unfortunately have to continue working a couple of hours a day The breakfast is varied and generous - I personally declined a third of the choice every day One of the main features I appreciated the most was the genuine helpful advice I received from the owners Who I honestly believe do not ask for commission on any of the taxi services or excursions I say this because it was cheaper to go through the hotel than try and bargain on the beach with the numerous hawkers ! Elena And Max seem to take pride in offering a good quality of service And ensuring their guests have a pleasant stay A big thank you to all the team !

If the deluxe room is available the price difference is well worth it with respect to the standard room

Loved staying at Babalao. Max & Elena were the perfect host, full of local information and recommendations for restaurants. The room was lovely and clean and well decorated, the air con was excellent! Only a short walk to the beach, restaurants and shops. The pool area was lovely and there was a really peaceful atmosphere, it was the perfect place to relax when the sun was at its most intense. Really didn’t want to leave ! Thank you ! John and Emily

Very friendly staff, all English speakers. The Wi-Fi signal was very good, also no problems with water and electricity. The house cat and dog are lovely. Max and Elena are very nice hosts, providing us all necessary information for our stay. The breakfast is very good and they also make very nice cocktails.

Poziționare excelenta, aproape de plaja și de centrul satului. Mâncarea a fost foarte buna. Locul decorat cu foarte mult bun gust. Gazdele și personalul au fost foarte primitori.

Nivelul de curățenie al camerelor mai merge îmbunătățit. Nu a fost deranjant dar se putea sa avem camere mai curate.
