We had an amazing stay at Legacy Retreat. The home is well stocked with anything you could possibly need. The beds are extremely comfortable and the location is great. The layout of the home is perfect for two couples. We will definitely be back!

We’ve been coming to SGI for the past six years. We’ve been trying out different places each time This was the absolute best so far. The home is as super clean comfortable. We love the bay side with a private dock. Hubby loves to throw his net for mullet. We brought our boat this year and caught lots of reds and trout. We cooked fish in the wonderful fully equipped kitchen and ate out on the back deck overlooking the bay. This vacation was 7 nights that felt like 3. We did not want to leave. Thanks so much for sharing this and we hope to return. The only thing we would have loved to have would have been a fish cleaning station, but that’s only because we were lucky enough to have caught fish..so the very minor issue in a week of so much perfection!! Loved this place

Our favorite home to rent on SGI! It is beautiful, clean and so comfortable. It has a very homey feeling and the owners Steve & Liza put a lot of thought into all the little details! Can’t wait for our next stay!

We loved everything about this bayside retreat. The layout of the house worked so well for us, with two masters and two decks on the bayside. Every possible comfort was thought of, from wonderful beds to first class cookware and kitchen appliances. I would love to build a house just like it because it was so roomy and convenient. Huge master bath and freestanding tub was spectacular. Everything was top quality. We had great responses from the owner over a couple of minor things that were taken care of immediately. She was so helpful. Our favorite thing was the long pier with seating at the end to fully appreciate the glorious sunsets over Appalachicola.

This property was all that it promised plus more. Communication with the owners was over the top. The house itself was amazing, perfectly designed and decorated. The views, especially the sunsets, were off the hook. I can't say enough good things about this property. You won't be disappointed!!!

We just wrapped up the best beach vacation yet! We spent each morning watching the sunrise with coffee on the dock while dad and the kids fished and then sunset on the other side of the dock. Rented a golf cart for easy rides to the beach. The house had all the things we needed and the kitchen was well equipped for a week of cooking. All beds were comfy and we didn’t even care about a day of rain because the house was as much of a treat as the beautiful beach and bay! We loved watching the rain over the bay from the large covered porch. Our hearts are so full and bodies recharged as we head back to Atlanta to start the next school year! Thank you for helping us create lifelong memories…We’ll definitely be back!!

The home was absolutely beautiful. The owners have done an incredible job at making sure every detail is thought of, so that your vacation goes smoothly. The views are stunning and it’s just a short golf cart ride over to the beach. They’ve thought of everything you might need in this beautiful Bayside home. Incredibly clean and comfortable.

We had an an incredible stay at this beautiful bay front home! Check-in was a breeze and the house was perfectly clean upon arrival. We slept so well in the comfortable beds and loved waking up to have our coffee on the lovely porches. The gourmet kitchen was stocked and had an amazing view as well. We caught numerous types of fish from the dock each day and the beach was only a short bike ride away. The sunsets and sunrises were amazing! My family hopes to return to Legacy Retreat in the future because we didn't want to leave!

This was our second time booking this home. The most beautiful views and the cleanest most spacious home. They have everything you could think of, just a short golf cart ride from the beach. We have already booked our next stay for September 2023!

We loved every minute of our stay. We watched sunset from the dock every evening after making great meals in the beautiful and well equipped kitchen. The bed was so comfy, it was easy to get to an easy 8 hours of sleep every night. We’ll be back.

House is absolutely amazing & beautifully decorated, and so relaxing!! Loved being on the bay, being able to fish, bird watch & look for dolphins. AMAZING SUNSETS!!!
And the beach is just a couple of blocks away! So peaceful & quiet, which is exactly what I enjoy these days!

We had a wonderful stay in this very relaxing beach house! The host was very responsive - and provided many extras to make our stay enjoyable. Our only disappointment was the dock was on a very shallow bay. While the view is beautiful- it was only @3 ft deep during high tide…(1.5 ft during low tide) so we did not see many fish. (It is March - so maybe more fish in the summer?) I’m not sure how a boat could be brought into this dock. There was great fishing at the public pier and well as at the state park at the end of the island.
We would stay at this house again. :)

Renting a vacation spot is always such a risk, especially when you’ve never been there… The moment we arrived at our Legacy Retreat, we knew we made the right choice. Being on the Bay immediately brings you tranquility; so very lovely. The beach, a short golf cart ride, and the same to town. It’s quite obvious the owners love their peace of paradise and we as guests should feel honored they have opened their home to us… Everything is perfect. Thank you Lisa&Tom!

Outstanding property. House is well equipped, clean, and beautifully decorated. You get that Florida barrier island feel as soon as you enter the house. Every kitchen device ever needed for the serious chef is provided. Wonderful bay view and sunsets are gorgeous. Definitely a return destination for us.

The house was clean, beautifully decorated, well equipped, and conveniently located. We spent the majority of our time on the large back deck overlooking the bay and the public beach access was just a quick drive/walk away. Highly recommend and we so appreciated it being pet friendly. The owner was super nice and communicated quickly and efficiently.

Truly a Retreat!
We had a wonderful, relaxing, peaceful vacation. We loved the location on the bay. The fishing pier allowed us to fish with the convenience of being at “home.” Also, during low tide, we enjoyed watching the fish, sting rays, and hermit crabs from the pier. We enjoyed the back porch sitting area and spent most of our time there. The house is beautiful and has everything that you might need. We even had farm fresh eggs waiting in a basket on the kitchen counter for us at arrival. The bathtub in the master bathroom was enormous and bath salts were provided for us to use. These are just a few examples of the thoughtfulness of the home owners to make visitors feel welcome. We loved our stay and will be back to visit again.

My husband and I stayed here at Legacy Retreat and having only good things to say and memories that will last a life time. I highly recommend this place when staying on St. George. This home has a beautiful view of the bay, is very clean, stocked with all you need in a kitchen, and gorgeous decorations.
