If you're willing to spend the money and like rustic charm, this place is wonderful! Bungalow 3 was right in front of the bay (serene and very warm water) and hidden walkway to what seemed like a private beach gave a perfect impressions of the water surrounding both sides of Dune Road. The description of the Bungalow was spot-on. Of course, we would have loved a larger fridge but otherwise it was a great place to stay. Caution that the grocery shopping downtown is limited so we suggest you bring food with you (or grab fruits/vegetables from one of the many local farmstands you'll pass on the way - once you got to Dune Road, there are no amenities (though a nice fish shack). Standup Paddleboards for provided for shared use and were always available. They forgot to put ice in our cooler but quickly responded via text. Small bottles of shampoo & conditioner so you may want to bring your own. A/C and fans cooled off the place nicely. This was a wonderful place for a combo ocean/bay getaway (though be mindful of the ocean waves - on the weekend they were there they were powerful - no lifeguard on this private area). We loved it and are thinking about coming back next year.

All was as described - it's in a beautiful location with all the amenities you need. Beachy rustic, near action, but also quiet and serene. Looking forward to returning!

I knew the bungalows would be ‘rustic’ however they are super old and not in good repair. Within minutes of arriving the doorknob fell off in my hand. Immediately we were trying to kill flying bugs in the unit. After fixing the doorknob ourself (lucky to be handy) we left for dinner. Upon arriving back after dark, we found lots of small bugs crawling everywhere in the bathroom and kitchen. No way could we stay there and have our belongings and food we bought get infested with bugs. So we left, not returning, really upset for being conned into spending a lot per night for this rental. Do yourself a favor, don’t bother. The management people offered to send an exterminator maybe the next day, but then we’d have to be subjected to who knows what of chemicals on our stuff and surfaces. I took a good look at the windows and found rotting wood, large gaps in the framing of the screens, and torn screens, it’s no wonder it’s full of bugs! I’ve stayed in lots of VRBO properties and this is a first writing this kind or review.. Beware!

What a sweet spot! While rustic on the outside, even more charming on the inside! Complete with numerous thoughtful details and a clearly engaged host, a worthwhile splurge for a quick get away or a fantastic rental opportunity for a multi family gathering. Well done.

There isn't a TV but you can stream with their wifi. Ocean access across Dune Rd is super convenient. We were in unit #3. On the water and super sweet. Mini fridge was small but they stocked the Yeti cooler with ice and it lasted 3 nights. We enjoyed our little beach bungalow and would do it again!

Beautifully Rustic Perfect Beach Bungalow!
I love these Beach Bungalows! It's wonderfully Rustic, but has everything you need! Cozy with amenities. A/c , wifi, but you can easily disconnect, and enjoy all the nature around.. It's relaxing, and the perfect location to the famous Dune Rd. Beaches and the waterfront location to the bay. Fabulous sunsets, and perfectly private to enjoy it!

Perfect stay!
We had a great stay at bungalow 3, the location is amazing, and the accommodations are just as expected and super comfortable. loved seeing how many neighbors had their pups. All the communication and concierge service with Marquis was great - best part was their help arranging kayak rentals for the duration of our stay that were there when we arrived and perfect for taking out on the bay.

I'm almost hesitant to write this glowing review for fear of it becoming too popular!!!!!
I've been going out to the Hamptons for many years and have always tried to be near the water. Dune road and the Beach and Bay Bungalows makes it hard to imagine a better scenario for being on the beach .....other than renting a house in that location. The Bunglows are incredibly reasonable cost wise, and if you book one on the water like #3 its a truly extraordinary experience. We woke in the morning walked out our door and sat at the picnic table on our deck by the bay for breakfast. Around noon, we literally walked across the street to get to the ocean. The beach is ridiculously quiet with just the people from the other rooms and a couple of homeowners enjoying the ocean. The rooms are clean, stylish, and very comfortable with just the right amount of modern features. The Star Marquis staff are so very professional and competently available whenever you need them. Their emails before the stay were comprehensive and informative.
It was a vacation to remember for so many reasons and we will be back!!!!!!!!

Incredible stay!
Location, location, location! This is such a gem of a property. The bungalow chic units are right on the water with a path to the beach directly across the street. The service from StayMarquis was amazing too. Great response time and they helped me book jet skis. Will be back again!

Another wonderful weekend
Just spent another fabulous weekend in bungalow 3! Our dog loves it as much as we do! The location is perfect. The bungalow is clean and comfortable. Can’t wait to return.

If you want waterfront and easy, easy access to a beautiful beach and you don’t care much...
If you’re used to a lot of creature comforts be advised in advance that bare bones describes this bungalow experience. The waterfront location is fantastic beyond description.

feels like a getaway. The bungalow is very cute and very clean. The bed is super comfortable. Our bungalow had a hammock which was amazing. It’s on the bay and across the street from the ocean so location is perfect! Grill worked well and there’s an outdoor patio/dinning table. There are other bungalows on the property but they all feel so hidden and private from each other. There are bikes and paddle boards for the guests. The temperature of the bedroom was perfect (great a/c). Highly recommend. One of my favorite getaways from the city.

Relaxed Weekend
Cottage#3 was spacious for two people. Water view was a bonus. We liked the kitchenette area that allowed us to prepare our own meals. We were greeted by a guest representative during check in and explained everything we needed to know about the unit. The cottage looked newly renovated and painted.
It was quiet which is what we were looking for and it was a perfect weekend getaway.

Everything was just as the pictures showed - such a cute place! It was really peaceful sitting outside on the deck. The beach across the street is beautiful. Would definitely recommend for a weekend!!

We have stayed many times when it was Beehive and loved the renovations and upgrades.
Wonderful king size bed. Location and views can’t be beat! Will definitely return.
