Great location things are walkable. Enjoy the outdoor space fire pit with chairs and movie nights in the screened in area

The cottage is clean and cozy. I wasn't sure what to expect of the neighborhood but the tree canopy is incredible! And the cottage is about a five-minute walk from the private beach. We brought a wagon which made getting gear back and forth very easy.
Would recommend bringing extra bath towels as only one per person is provided, though the laundry machine is available if packing space is an issue for you. Definitely bring your own beach towels! Cottage could also use more hooks for hanging jackets and towels but thats just a small suggestion. Overall we enjoyed our stay and would stay again.

Wonderful property with great choices to hang out. Screened porch, bunkie, fire pit, hammocks, living room with large TV or nap in one of three comfortable bedrooms. Just steps to the beach but also able to drive/park grandma there. Two short flights of steps to the main beach and water. Water soooo warm. It beats the west coast any day. Host super responsive. Had the internet up and running within minutes after the storm blew the power out. Will be our go to.

Cottage was spacious with all you'd need! Lots of parking, room for relaxing, cooking etc., only a short walk away to your own private beach and walking distance to the main strip. Thanks for a great stay!

Beautiful neighborhood. Clean Cottage. 5 minute walk to nice beach. Property Manager was quick to come to our rescue when we accidentally locked ourselves out. Would highly recommend!

We had an enjoyable five day visit at this cottage...my husband and myself...and then two out of town friends for two days. The cottage was very clean and well organized. It was not cluttered but had all of the items we needed. The beds and firm mattresses allowed for comfortable sleeps. We enjoyed going for walks and spending time at the nearby beach. We had a delightful time at this cottage.

Emily is the perfect property manager and has thought of every detail. She is also very quick to respond to any questions. This has been our third year visiting this lovely home. A quaint cottage near a private beach, and great company. Will visit again next year 😊

The cottage and Southcott Pines was great! A quick walk to the beach and a quaint community setting. We really enjoyed strolling through Southcott Pines as my little one scooted along with us. It was so convenient to make short trips to the beach from the cottage. The cottage was nice and clean and Emily was very responsive to any questions. Thanks Emily!

Emily’s cottage is clean and very well stocked with all the necessities - pots/pans/plates/cutlery/etc. Emily even provided soap for the dishwasher and laundry. Private community beach is only a short walk down the road and is monitored to allow only community residents. Beach area is beautifully sandy and the water depth in the swim area is maximum chest height. The waves on Lake Huron were so much fun! Bring a floaty or a noodle!! The outdoor pavilion (fully screened in) was our favourite spot for afternoon naps and al fresco dining free from bugs. The cottage location is very quiet and peaceful. We had a lovely relaxing vacation. Emily was wonderful to work with - very fast to respond and very helpful. I would highly recommend this excellent vacation home.

Excellent location and cottage.
Had an amazing time. Neighbourhood was great - we loved the private beach and so close. We loved that we could walk to Grand Bend which allowed us to park the vehicle for most of the week! We will be back. Thank you!

My family and I enjoyed our first family of 4 vacation. Emily’s cottage was perfect for us (8 month old and all). My toddler had so much fun he cried leaving. Thank you for the best week and for the happy memories. We’ll be back again :).

This property is fabulous! Nestled in a quiet, and friendly tree hugged community, it's the perfect location - walking distance and access to the private, sandy Sun Beach - or a longer walk/2 minute drive to the Main street strip and beach in Grand Bend!
The cottage itself was immaculate - full of character, convenience, and comfy beds that catered to deep and restful sleeps! Added bonus is the well planned and resourced outdoor space where you can relax in a hammock or roast marshmallows over the fire.
Food (Sobeys) and pharmacy (Shoppers) is also a short drive away, so you can literally just pack 2/3rds of the clothes you'd expect to wear (there's linens and laundry in the cottage) - that's it.
This is a real gem of a property that I can't wait to share with friends and family again soon!

This was a wonderful cottage! My family enjoyed having dinner and lounging in the screened in sitting area outside. The cottage was very clean, had a fully equipped kitchen and was a short walk to the private, community beach. Emily was a very responsive host. Great stay and would staying again!

Wonderful stay in grand bend!
Our group had a wonderful weekend at this property. Emily was an amazing host - so helpful with check in, what to bring, very clear instructions, and the the place was spotless! The indoor and outdoor space are perfect for a small group of 4-6 people, and the outdoor screened in area is wonderful for spending time outdoors. We loved the design of the space, and every room had a lovely charm. The beds were very comfortable, and the lighting was very sufficient. There were fans in every room, and AC available in the living room which was perfect for cooling down. The private beach was an excellent bonus - never too busy to find a socially distant spot with your group, very well kept, clean washrooms, and friendly attendants. Thank you Emily for a great stay, would definitely return!

Cute cottage with great location
We enjoyed our stay at Emily's cute cottage. It's walking distance to a great beach. Our teen boys had a lot of fun. The fire pit and hammocks were relaxing and welcome. We would love to come back here again next summer.

Emily’s cottage exceeded our expectations the moment we stepped in. The kitchen and living space were perfect . Had all the amenities needed for your stay. The bonfire, outside seating and hammock resting area were all spectacular. We spent most of our nights by the fire roasting marshmallows. Best of all, the outdoor seating area was surrounded by screening so you didn’t have to worry about mosquitos and is perfect for those rainy days as well. My family and I would definitely stay here again!

Southcott Pines is a lovely community. The cottage was on the small side but clean. The outdoor screened building was a plus and very useful. We missed having a microwave though.

Great Stay!
We really enjoyed our five nights here. The beach is super close and we didn't hear from any of our neighbours, so nice and quiet. The place is as advertised and our host was quick to resolve any issues.

Very nice stay. Super good location in beautiful neighborhood
Was sad that house was not situated directly on a lake side property, I thought this was the case with the private beach description. The beach was perfect, the house was also ok and the yard very agreable. Would come back. The kitchen missed a bit equipement for cooking especially for a whole family. Floors were not the cleanest when we first arrived but other than that everything was clean. Thanks Emily for a wonderful stay.

Beautiful Cottage!
We had an excellent time staying here. The property was very beautiful, surrounded by large trees and nestled in a corner of the community. It is very close to a private beach which had sufficient space for me and my family even with social distancing during the Labor Day long weekend. The interior of the property was very nice, and during some rainy days we enjoyed our time cozily inside. Whenever issues arose the landlady Emily was quick to respond. Overall a very pleasant stay!
Only comment I have was that the internet was a little spotty, but after speaking with Emily it seems like that issue should soon be a thing of the past! Thanks!

Perfect spot for young families!
Emily has done a wonderful job stylishly renovating this cottage! Very short walk to the beach - doable for our 4 small kids. The screened in cabana provided a lovely spot for parents to relax in the evenings. Mattresses were comfy and new bathroom was delightful. We’d definitely stay again. Thanks for always responding to my questions so promptly Emily!
