House was so cute! Working with the host was a breeze. Loved our stay and definitely kid friendly!

The house is amazing and is soo much better than what the pictures show. Went with six teenagers and they are still talking about the trip and want to go back. The beach is close by and it was not crowded at all. The teens did not want to leave the beach. We even saw the full moon on the beach! Highly recommend for great photos!
Heather has thought of everything for this house! It is very family and kid friendly with books to read and games to play. The teens loved the ping ball table and resting on the porch talking amongst themselves. The neighborhood was quiet and everyone was really friendly.
I loved how the house was a small drive from the center of town. It made things quieter and the beach was not as busy as it would be if the house was located in town. The views were amazing driving into town and it was a relaxing drive. Didnt have much city lights and could see the stars! A great hit for the teens at night and finding stars on their star apps.
Heather has thought of everything that you need for this house. It was really clean and had a full kitchen for cooking. I didnt think i was going to get much rest on this vacation with six teens but, I was wrong. There is a list of places to go see and places to eat on the pegboard. She is very responsive and just ask if you have a question. She also gave us ideas what to see on the island and they were all amazing! I highly recommend that you book this house. If I could give it a thousand stars I would.

Enjoyed the week, home slept 12 comfortably. Close to the beach, Marina, access to Sea Isle pier included in the rental. Washer, dryer, and dishwasher work great. Keurig is broken, but there is a coffee pot that does the job. Low water pressure in the kitchen sink was frustrating, but we made it work. Refrigerator/Freezer upstairs and down made space for cold items a non issue. Enough cooking gear to make it work, the basics. AC works great! Gave the rental 5 stars, because essentially, it had everything we needed. There are some small upkeep items that need addressed, dryer handle broken, upstairs gate latch falling apart, home is for sale, maybe a contributor. Master bath shower is amazing, looks like the most recent upgrade. Streaming services are available, some even signed in, and the WiFi strong enough for multiple devices with no issues. Overall, the stay was worth the $

I love this property and have stayed 3 yrs in a row during the same time. It's a perfect spot for a quick getaway and the owners pay a lot of attention to the little things that make it more cozy.

Three grandparents - one adult daughter - two grandkids and two small furry kids. Tight but adequate. I researched for days and weeks and we are happy with our choice.

Clean, well furnished, property owner was SUPER prompt and helpful, and perfect proximity to the beach. LOVED that they have beach toys/baby items available to use…Soooo nice not to have to schlep all that stuff from home. 👌🏽 We’ll be back for sure.

The property was more than satisfactory. There were many kid friendly and dog friendly features that enhanced our experience and we will remember the house for future family gatherings! Everyone in our group really enjoyed their stay!

We had a wonderful time at this beach cottage! It was perfect for our family beach get away with our son and grandsons! Heather was an outstanding host! She had communicated well and gave lots of age appropriate ideas/ suggestions!! Awesome!!

Fun in the Sun
The property was perfect for our last minute getaway. The property owners were so helpful in giving recommendations and giving us the chance to stay last minute! We loved everything about the kid/family friendly space. The updated bathrooms are beautiful. So glad we came to this neighborhood. The marina, private fishing dock, and restaurants located in the neighborhood were a surprising convenience.

Family friendly
We loved Dottie's Del Mar. We loved that the beach wasn't overcrowded and we were away from the hustle and bustle of town. This was the perfect space for our crew of 12. If we venture back to Galveston we will stay here again!

Great Holiday Getaway
As expected, the ideal place for a few days at the beach to close out the year. I stayed here the same time last year, and knew I would enjoy the neighborhood, restaurants, walks on the beach, and New year's fireworks. The house is very comfortable, has lots of nice extras, is walking distance to the beach, a close drive to the restaurants, a fenced yard for keeping dogs/kids safely contained and the deck is a lot of fun for hanging out. Clean, well stocked and good communication.

Nice home
We wanted a quick get away to the beach with our 2 dogs and some family. Overall the home was nice and accommodating for our needs. The pier was a great option and the fishing was good. The neighborhood is large and great for long morning walks with the pups. The home could use a really good deep cleaning and some new lights outside but overall it was a nice place.

Fun Moms/Daughters Bday weekend
Very comfortable and accommodating. It was nice and cool and so refreshing when we walked in. Spotless upon arrival as well. The most comfortable beds. Great layout, plenty of room to spread out. Nice areas outside to just relax and hang out to have fun.

We evacuated here for Hurricane Ida from Houma, LA. Heather's home was absolutely lovely and had more than the required essentials to make our stay enjoyable. It is in a quaint neighbirhood close to public beach access. My daughter enjoyed riding her scooter thru the neighborhood. She was easily available and responded within a timely manner. She was more than accomadating under our circumstances! I cannot thank her enough!

We evacuated here for Hurricane Ida from Houma, LA. Heather's home was absolutely lovely and had more than the required essentials to make our stay enjoyable. It is in a quaint neighbirhood close to public beach access. My daughter enjoyed riding her scooter thru the neighborhood. She was easily available and responded within a timely manner. She was more than accomadating under our circumstances! I cannot thank her enough!

Great house and community
Our stay was amazing. The house has everything you need. We were 5 adults and three kids (Age 3 and7) and we all had plenty of space and very comfortable beds.
The toys and beach necessities they provide is amazing.
The house is so charming, you feel right at home.
In general we would like to be closer to the beach so you don’t need a car or golf court but this was a last minute booking and we were absolutely happy. The house makes up for it!

There was a storage room full of beach items available to use that we were so greatful for. Fenced backyard, doggy bags, and bowls were super nice to have available for our dog. Accommodations were very nice. A big plus, with four people showering back to back we never ran out of hot water.
