Beautiful house with plenty of room for our whole family. Large kitchen and dining area. Covered front porch was great for family bonding and a great place to get ready for the beach. The only thing we wish would have been different was that the grass was very tall and still remained untouched when we left. Overall, would stay again!

The house interior is cute and the outdoor shower was really nice, as was the proximity to the beach. However what we found lacking were a lot of little things that would have gone a long way - no beach chairs (although there were beach toys which we appreciated), no screens in the master bedroom so we couldn’t open the windows, so many flies out on the deck we could barely use it, etc. across the street are several rusted trailers which is not such an appealing view. But next door is an empty lot and the other side is a nice house. Linens are provided. We called the people that we thought were the property managers about getting the yard mowed, they told us they only clean for the owners but since my email to the owners went unanswered they were nice enough to get in touch with the landscapers and send someone out. Salvo In general was far away from a lot of what we were expecting our stay to have near us - about a 40 min drive to shopping and activities for the kids. There is a lot to keep them occupied in salvo you just have to seek it out. Overall it was a good stay I would just recommend adding a few more conveniences.

Turtle pond was a great place. Clean, quiet neighborhood. Walk to beach wasn't too bad(if you have knee issues the dunes will be difficult to walk up over) but the walk was short. This was our first time in OBX and we are looking forward to many more trips in the future and hopefully at Turtle pond.

This was our family’s first time in the area. The house was very clean and on a quiet street. Richard answered any and all questions in a timely manner. Highly recommend this location.

We had the best time at Turtle Pond. The house has everything you might possibly need and some things we didn't even know we needed. The walk to the beach was very easy and the beach by the house is fantastic! Beds are very comfortable and the kitchen is FULLY stocked.

It was super clean, spacious, great location, beautiful home, family friendly, very maintained and beautiful decorations. Kitchen had all the utensils and pots and pans needed. Would highly recommend this to anyone and will definitely be coming back!

Lovely beach home
This house was perfect for the beach. Just a short walk to the beach and had EVERYTHING we needed! This was the best stocked kitchen we’ve ever stayed at. Having linens provided was a huge convenience. All we needed to bring was towels, washcloths and beach towels. The home was spacious for us and the pond was so nice to have for my son to fish in. Highly recommend this property. Owners were so nice and easy to work with! The location and area of Salvo was nice because it was less touristy and something that was so attractive when we wanted to escape the busy work life! Thank you so much for allowing us to use your beach home!!! Will consider coming back again!!!!

There was some sand in the beds and roll out twin had not been cleaned in some time. Other than that, we had a great stay!

We had a great time and loved the space. My husband, 2 kids and I brought my mom to the beach and we were all very comfortable. Plenty of bath & kitchen towels. Kids loved the bunk beds:))

A hurricane in the ocean caused some flooding issues on the roads, but the house was high and dry, and overall things could not have been better.
