Everything was great. Amazed how stocked the house was. Everyone had plenty of room to sleep and be comfortable. The dock was the hit of the trip. Such a great hangout spot. The house was well furnished and very clean. Would highly recommend and would stay again!

Family Vacation
Our family had a great time at Smith Lake and loved our accommodations. The house was very clean and organized. Large pantry with organizing baskets, several small appliances, comfortable beds, 2 refrigerators, ping-pong table, several outdoor items, and our favorite spot...the outside dock. Our family spent most of our time boating, fishing and swimming. We brought our own boat and had plenty of space to park our boat trailer on property. Internet service wasn't great but our family knew this prior to vacation. Owners left a cute welcome basket of snacks/wine for us to enjoy. Even took the time to leave a small basket of essentials just in case you forgot to pack some of those personal hygiene items. The only negative to our stay was the heat wave we experienced mid-week. The A/C at the home (3rd floor) had a hard time keeping up with the high temps. Thankfully the owners had several fans available for us to use. Overall our family had the best time and would definitely book this property again.

Relaxing get away
We had a lovely time here over spring break. We had two families and there was plenty of room for everyone. We loved all the spaces to either gather or spend some time in solitude. We made good use of the fire pit in the cool evenings making S'mores. The mornings were lovely on the gazebo reading a book and the kids loved the dock. The kitchen was well stocked and had everything we needed. The only complaint was the lighting in the kitchen and over the large dining room table. Other than that it was a perfect house for multiple families to enjoy together without being on top of each other. We were able to rent a boat and we also went hiking in Bankhead national forest which was only 40 minutes away and had some amazing waterfalls! The host was very responsive, it was an easy property to get to. A great time was had by all!

Perfection
We couldn’t have asked for a more perfect home for our annual New Years friend trip. Plenty of room, beautiful views and the dock is amazing. You will not be disappointed. Plan to book again for the summer.

Wonderful memories made!!!
The “lake view” from this property absolutely took our breath away when we walked through the front door. We thought it absolutely doesn’t get better than this…and then it did when we walked down to the lake. My sons exact words “Holy Cow! Now that’s a dock!!!” describes it perfectly. The memories we made at this 2 story dock will stay with us forever. Spectacular view. Awesome covered 2nd level with brand new furniture. And hours of entertainment for our Kids jumping into the lake from the top deck. Thank you so much for letting us stay at your beautiful home. We definitely will be back.

Nice Lake House!
Great house, good location and overall was easy to get to and only a short drive from I65. Great view from deck and the best part of the house is the openness and lots of space to hangout or spread out. Haha. Owners were very gracious and responsive. We were able to keep our boat docked during our stay which was important to us. We rent lots of properties around the country and have to say this was the best stocked house we’ve stayed in with good quality cookware, appliances , kitchenware, etc. Great attention to detail in decor and furnishings. All the comforts of home. My only recommendations would be to add a WiFi booster, since we could not get cell service we relied on WiFi which was spotty at times. It would also improve TV streaming. It would also be nice to put in some simple stone or wood steps into the bank below the lower patio to walk done to where the chairs are, was a little slick walking through the pine straw. Very minor tweaks to a already great house. House is the perfect blend of lots of outdoor living and cozy indoor space. Loved our stay and would definitely come back again!

We decided to go to Smith Lake for Thanksgiving week with our family. We figured that we needed to get away. The house was absolutely incredible. Plenty of room, all of the amenities, and the owners had it situated and stocked perfectly. The view of the lake was spectacular. Great views morning sunrise every morning. A new doc made getting on the lake and docking our boat easy. Very accessible to local marinas and other venues.
We highly recommend.

Best Thanksgiving Lake Retreat
We decided to go to Smith Lake for Thanksgiving week with our family. We figured that we needed to get away. The house was absolutely incredible. Plenty of room, all of the amenities, and the owners had it situated and stocked perfectly. The view of the lake was spectacular. Great views morning sunrise every morning. A new doc made getting on the lake and docking our boat easy. Very accessible to local marinas and other venues.

This is a wonderful property. Everyone loved the layout and the decor. The knotty wood and high ceilings were beautiful. The beds were comfortable and there were plenty of linens. The loft was fun for the grand boys to play while the grownups were cooking or hanging out in the den. We had a master suite on one side and one family had the other side with two bedrooms and a bath. The other daughter and family had the basement with it’s own frig so everyone had plenty of privacy. Because of covid we spent lots of time outside and there was plenty of outdoor furniture for us to enjoy every spot. We played games in the front yard, there was a sand box and an outside hose for rinsing them off. The gazebo was a favorite spot because the sunrise was blocked by the roof around 8 am and the ceiling fan kept things cool. Like most things on Smith Lake it has some steps to the lake but it felt very secure for the little ones as they went down. There was a mini frig at the dock which was nice. The owner was easy to reach with any questions. There was some wine, water, coffee and beer to greet us when we got here. I highly recommend this property.
