Lagar los Pilones is part of a privately owned farm of 200 hectares, approached by a steep, well maintained, 2 km track which winds through woodland of olive, Mediterranean oak,almonds and figs, and is full blossom in the spring. Within the farm´s grounds are some ancient open caves containing painting said to date back some 6,000 years.
Ideally situated for easy access to the historic cities of Granada, Ronda, Antequera, Córdoba and Sevilla, one should also make time to visit the fascinating EL Torcal Natural Park with its intriguing rock formations. Málaga and the coast are within a twenty minute drive too.

There are two properties. The large poperty, for six persons, with three bedrooms, each with its own bathroom, has high beamed ceilings, a huge picture window looking out onto the surrounding countryside, and a raised area where enormous wine vats, flood-lit from within, have been sunk into the floor and cleverly incorporated into the décor. The large open-plan living/dining area has an open fireplace and comfortable seating, and the rustic style kitchen is extremelywell equipped. The smaller property, for four persons, with two bedrooms, again each with its own bathroom, is spacious, airy and equally well equipped, with an open-plan living/dining room and kitchen area,with open fireplace.
You can rent each house independently or the entire property for 10, then the two houses are combined.

The pool to the side of the property has ample room for sunbathing,and the views from here are equally stunning. There is plenty of space too for sitting out in sun or shade, and meals can be cooked in the old built-in oven to the rear of the house and enjoyed “al fresco” with several bottles of locsl wine.
