The house and property were amazing. Lots of open space in the house for eating, playing games, and entertaining the family. The sleeping accommodations were very nice and each bedroom had access to a bathroom. The kitchen was fully equipped and lots of cabinet space to put our stuff in. We had coffee on the upper level porch each morning which overlooked the lake. What amazing views. We used the fire pit on one occasion so the kids could make S’mores. The landscaping was beautiful. We enjoyed having the use of the boat dock so that we could tie up our own boat. Everyone had a great time playing and floating in the water. We would definitely stay here again. We had a party on 9 family members.

Great location!!.House was perfect for 2 families with the parents being on one level and the teens having their own space to relax and have fun. House was well equipped with all the necessities. Great views of the lake from all levels and easy water access. Owners were very responsive to all questions and needs. Would definitely rent this house again in the future.

Beautiful home on a quiet cul-de-sac with an amazing view of the main lake. Very convenient location with easy access to the grocery store, bakery, and local retail businesses. We look forward to future stays at this property.

This beautiful home was great for our family of 6 adults. Plenty of space for more! Great game room, well appointed kitchen, the beds were made upon arrival and that was a big plus, the boat house had a variety of floats and chairs. The house was VERY clean and tidy, inside and out. Food Lion grocery store is about 15 minutes, Jenny’s Cakes on the Lake was 10 minutes by car. The Pointe and Watersview restaurants are about 25-30 minutes by boat. The main lake views were great! Water can get choppy, but it was a holiday week, and there were more boats than normal. Can not use the boat lift, had to tie up to the dock and the boat got a little banged up due to the water getting choppy some days. Would rent again.

The house was wonderful and the view of the lake was incredible! We had a wonderful time and look forward to renting the house again. By far the best lake house we’ve rented.

Kitchen was well equipped. Listing was as pictured. Owners were great! Easy to contact and to communicate with. Nicely stocked boat house. Loved all of the chairs to sit in outside. Beautiful views. Will definitely stay again!

Absolutely beautiful home! Very clean house, well stocked kitchen, plenty of towels, really everything needed is provided. Amazing lake views, gorgeous sunrises and sunsets. Owners go above and beyond to provide a great experience for their guests.

The view of the lake was gorgeous! We loved that this house has 2 master bedrooms- Plenty of room for our 2 families! And the kids/ teens LOVED the game room!! The fire pit & the boat house are great outside spaces! Overall awesome property :)

Where to Start?!
This property was absolutely amazing! Spotlessly clean, and very user friendly. All light fixtures were clearly marked as to what it turned on and off, which is extremely helpful. When you walk in the front door you are met with a gorgeous view on the backside of the house, past the kitchen, dining room and living room of the lake. If that doesn’t put a smile on your face, then the lakefront views from each of the four bedrooms will! This house is definitely designed for comfort and relaxation. The boat dock is great too.. We all enjoyed, from grandkids up to grandparents, the deep water off the end of the dock. One special touch is that they had inner tubes and other floats already blown up and ready to go in the dock storage closet. Over the past 10 to 12 years we have rented several different homes at Lake Gaston, and this has by far been the best. If I could give it more than a five star rating, I would! Thank you, Golden’s, for helping us to make special memories with out family!

Amazing
Amazing vacation! The home was clean and met all of our needs. We had four young children with us. It was safe and met all of their needs. We have stayed in lakehouses in the past and we would rate this the best. It had easy and safe access to the water. The owner was very responsive to any questions and followed up once we had arrived! I would highly recommend to anyone considering vacationing here. We plan to visit again!

A Great Lake Retreat
This house has all that was needed to enjoy a week at the Lake with our family. It has a well supplied kitchen and great lake views. Every bedroom has their own bathroom, which makes for a very private area for all guests. We love the location of the house on the main channel of the lake.

What a beautiful home! I would highly recommend this house to anyone. The house and communication were fabulous! We had a few friends stop in for the day and they also loved it. We spent most of our time on the dock but the home is incredible. Would highly recommend.

I couldn't have found a better place to relax, reflect, and go fishing. We felt very blessed for the opportunity to be able to stay on this property where every aspect of what my family was looking for was at our finger tips. Can't wait for another opportunity to return. Come for the views… stay for the relaxation!
Our host, Farrah made sure we were set from the time we booked, up until we left. Entering the property was breathtaking. The views from the kitchen to back of the house, the wrap around deck overlooking the lake that led down to a beautifully appointed dock. The property is exceptionally clean and the host really thought of everything… we loved the layout, each bedroom having a bathroom, so convenient. We enjoyed relaxing by the water, fishing, roasting marshmallows at the fire pit, game night with air hockey, ping pong, foosball and more. Added bonus a beautifully decorated Christmas tree and surprise fireworks across the lake to ring in the New Year. Needless to say we can’t wait to return.

Perfect weekend getaway!
Great weekend getaway! Wonderful spot on the main lake - got lucky with warm weather for late October. Fun inside and outside. Highly recommend!!

Great getaway at LKG!
Golden Getaway definitely lives up to all that is said about it - it's a great getaway at Lake Gaston. The house is roomy, well appointed, great location and pretty views. Communications with the owners was easy and everyone thoroughly enjoyed their stay. Definitely recommend!

This property is exactly as listed. It is a beautiful house, well equipped and strategically located on Lake Gaston. There is ample space to gather with the entire group both inside and out, as well as large enough to enjoy some alone time if needed. The kitchen is well equipped with everything you will need to prepare snacks and meals.There are plenty of floats and toys at the boat house for days of fun. It was the perfect location for our entire family to gather and spend precious time together.

This was a perfect vacation location. Spacious, well-appointed and the view was spectacular! Ages ranges from 6 to 92 and everyone said it was the best family vacation yet. Dock was deep enough to dive into and to tie up the pontoon boat we rented from a marina only a few miles away. Sound system and lights on the dock and boathouse allowed us to hang out well into the night. House came with plenty of floats as well as 2 kayaks and life jackets. Beautiful landscaping with a fire pit and plenty of seating. The deck area overlooking the lake was the best way to start the day and the sunsets…incredible!! We could not recommend this place more and we WILL be back!!
