I stayed at this house with family and could not have been more satisfied. The house was so clean and had everything we needed. The location made it easy to walk to the beach and easy to walk to the bay for the sunset. Would stay here again in a heartbeat.

We booked this great house as a last minute vacation for my family (4 adults and 3 young kids). House was beautiful, modern and updated. Plenty of room for everyone to be comfortable. We loved all of the decks and outdoor space. Host was great and responsive and we were just a short walk to the beach. Overall a wonderful stay!

The house is spacious, clean, new and the owner responds within minutes. It’s about a block and half walk to the beach. There are so many decks and includes a high-quality Weber grill. You do have to bring your sheets and pillow cases and I would pack a 4-pack of toilet paper too. The beach was amazing!

We had 7 in our group and the layout worked great for us. Bedrooms for all, plenty of bathrooms, and the common space had a great layout. We had room for extended family to share meals, loved all the decks and the outdoor shower. The walk to the beach was so short. Just a great place to spend our week.

The location of the house is amazing so close to restaurants and shops in Surf City. Short walk to the bay and beach. The house itself is beautiful! Brand new feel and plenty of space.

We had a terrific two week stay with Sandi at this property. The house is very new, and was clear and ready to go when we arrived. Check in was simple. We fit 8 people comfortably the first week, and there were 4 the second week, so more than enough room. The location is great, not only to the beach which was a short walk (even with little kids) but also to all that Surf City has to offer. We had very smooth communication with Sandi, we had to message her a few times and she responded back very quickly. I would highly recommend this property.

We had a great stay in this wonderful home. Location was excellent, house was exactly as advertised. Communication was always rapid, professional, and helpful. The only minor issue we had was that there were no sheets or pillowcases when we arrived, which required us to search the house to find them. Not a big deal by any means, but something that could have been more clearly communicated. All in all, would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend!

Communication, When we checked in we had a slight problem with the heat contacted the owners and they took care of it in a expedient manner very satisfied. I would not hesitate renting this property again

Good location, nice new house
Overall, we enjoyed our time here. The owner was very responsive, but we did have to reach out a few times with basic questions such as how to use the front door code. House has great outdoor spaces, but has some surprisingly small indoor spaces -- such as the master bath -- given its large appearance. The house is located halfway between bay and ocean, and is very accessible to downtown Surf City. (Unfortunately this means close proximity to the Surf City firehouse which has a deafening firehorn that went off several times during our stay.) We did appreciate having a beach house that is uncluttered, but could have used even one reading light instead of all overhead lighting. And we guess this new request to bring our own blankets is a result of Covid, but we didn't find out about this necessity til last minute (and only when we reached out to confirm what we needed to bring) and it resulted in quite a packing scramble.

We loved our stay at this newly renovated home! It was so clean and comfortable, and very nicely decorated! In a great location, walking distance to everything Surf City has to offer. Kitchen is fully equipped and there were lots of fun games to play as well. Sandi, the host, was beyond accommodating and incredibly responsive! Highly recommend!

Our kids range from 4 to 13 and the house was perfect for letting the older kids walk for playa bowls and ice cream. Everything in the house was very new, as advertised, and the bikes were a nice bonus given they weren’t in the listing and helped limit what we needed to bring. The owners were very accessible, friendly and responsive to our questions. Sunsets are great from the roof-top deck or the bench at the west end of the street. We’ll definitely stay here again.

I will say the house is really pretty and minimally decorated. However, the check in and out were not at all as expected. I got a message around noon the day of check in stating that check in was at 4:00 and to not to forget bed linens and towel. WHAT! Nothing in the listing states that these will not be provided. I have rented over 30 places in over 10 countries and have never had this happen. BTW, the listing says that the check in is at 3:00, not 4:00. I pointed this out to the owner via message and she stated that it was typo and that 3:00 was correct. However when we got to the house the cleaning people were still there and told us we had to wait till 4:00.
On the day of checkin I was given the code to the door. That was it, just the code. No instructions. The code did not work on its own. You had us the main button before the code and use the main button only to lock. Would have been helpful information.
Then on the day of check-out, which is 10:00 according to the listing, the cleaning people showed up at 8:30.
As for the garbage situation, we were provided with one garbage can and one recycling bin. They were already half full when we checked in. What is one suppose to do with the rest of their garbage?
Lastly, during the booking process the owner ask me who would be staying in the house (adults, kids, animals). I told her that it was 6 adults and 1 infant. That probably would have been a good time for her to tell me about the church across the street that rings bells from 10 - 4 every day on the hour. The best stay ever! Spacious, well equipped house. Quiet location, close to everything.
Comfortable beds, lots of seating in living room, large table for family gatherings and the decks.... perfect for morning coffee, dinner and sunset watching.
