The house was clean and well stocked. Even though it was an older property there were some nice upgrades with the hot tub (we didn't use it because of the weather), new appliances, and fast wifi.
There were only a couple complaints. The mattress in the master bedroom needs replaced. It sags pretty badly in the middle and it's fairly uncomfortable. The other being that the home is located on a busy road in town which can be noisy at times, a long with a train track nearby that is also loud. If you're used to this type of noise it probably wouldn't bother you. It did make things hard for the wife and I to sleep but we are used to things being pretty quiet.
Neither of these were enough to knock a star off for us because we really enjoyed our couple nights away but thought future renters might want to know.

The property was just as advertised. The host was very accommodating and was very easy to get ahold. I would highly recommend this host and her properties.

The stay was great. The host was very responsive and attentive to our stay. One small hiccup that was out of anyone's control, and it was taken care of ASAP after we reported it. We had a great time.

We had a great time in Anna and the surrounding areas. Kathy’s place was perfect. Very spacious and comfortable. The outdoor space with the hot tub was awesome! If you’re visiting wine country, I’d definitely recommend this place for a get-a-way. I wish we could have stayed longer!

The owner has thought of everything. You must experience this property to believe the amount of features and comfort it has. My husband and I were extremely pleased with our stay and highly recommend it for family stays. Thank you Kathy for a pleasant place to "live" while I visited my sister.

Convenient location close to Walmart, fast food, & Walgreens. Very clean house with everything you need in the kitchen, thick luxurious towels & robes, comfortable beds, towels for the hot tub & cushions for outdoor furniture. We are return customers!

It was a lovely property with everything we needed to cook in the kitchen.Sweet touches everywhere, robes for the hot tub, fantastic shower etc.The outdoor area was magical with the lights and the overall setup. Id recommend this property for anyone who wants to get away and decompress.

This house is so adorable! Our host Kathy was an absolute pleasure to work with. Communication was quick and making the reservation was easy. It was a great location, just down the street from shopping. Kathy thought of everything, it was like being home, but away from home. Any pans, utensils, or glasses you need were all right at hand. There was even coffee! We will be renting it again next year when we return for our family reunion.

The house was super cute and surprisingly big. The outdoor area was very private and where we spent 90% of our time. If you’re having a girls trip, this house is perfect! Great communication from owner. Great location - close to the wineries, Walmart, and restaurants.

It was beyond our expectations. We stayed two nights. Very cool older house. The hot tub in the backyard were amazing. Overall, just a great time. Can’t wait to go back.!

Very clean and comfortable. Lots to entertain our 2 grandkids ages 9 and 11 after returning from a day out. Enjoyed the back sunroom and all the board games, the pool table and the hot tub. All the extras provided by the host like the quilts, the robes and all the helpful notes were great. Only thing I would mention that was in another review is would be helpful to have a pull out sofa or more sleeping options. Listing says sleeps 6 but only 2 bedrooms; one with a queen, the 2nd with a bunk bed, double on bottom and single on tope?? Beds were very comfortable though. Location was ok.

We have an annual girls trip to the wine trail. Normally we try and find a secluded cabin near them to stay. This time we tried something different. We booked it for the back yard area. When we arrived the house was much bigger than we expected. The back indoor deck was a pleasant surprise! The kitchen was AMAZING, there were robes to welcome us, sound machines to help sleep. The owner of this property did not miss any details!!! The house was clean and set up for good times together. The only thing that I would even suggest would be adding in one more sleeping area such as a pull out couch or something of that sort. I am surely not the owner though. This house was perfect for spending the time together. We had a rain out night so we're greatful for it. There is not much to do in the town itself so we were happy to have the house itself!!! HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

We went hiking in the Shawnee National Forest for our honeymoon and stayed at Twin Maples. It was a wonderful experience with the hot tub and lights.

Our stay was perfect! We had everything g we needed as far as kitchen gear, bathrobes, etc. The cozy quilts were the icing on the cake, as it was December and a bit frigid in Southern Illinois. It is near all the local wineries and a hop skip and jump from Carbondale or Cape. The strip in Anna had cute, little shops and Sisisi’s who serves one of the best Chicago style pizzas I have ever eaten! This was a perfect getaway! We even had a Christmas tree and Christmas decorations! ❤️ Great customer care and prompt communication with host.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. The house & some of the furniture are dated but that's just part of the place's charm. I enjoyed the pool table, hot tub the most. It's located on a busy street with a Casey's & Kroger nearby if you need to grab a bag of ice or some groceries. Would definitely stay here again.

My daughter and I came to Anna to visit my dad. This property was everything we were looking for and more! The house was very clean and beds were quite comfortable! Downstairs there is a large game room, a living room, a nice kitchen and a sun room. I would have liked to enjoy the outside space more, but it was a rainy. We did get in the hot tub, it was nice, basic and clean. The host has lots of notes with labels, that worked well for us. The host was quick to reply to questions. We will likely be back!

Everything was good. 2 very good restaurants nearby (Pizza Villa and Old South 51 BBQ). Walmart and other places easily accessible too.

Great stay overall! Outdoor area and communications about amenities were thoughtful in every way. Nice home with good furnishings. Only issue we had was not suitable for people with difficulty navigating stairs.

We were extremely pleased with our stay! Such a great house, we loved the accessibility to all of the trails and fun near by as well as being able to relax at the house. Patio is great and the pool table was a super nice surprise as well :)

Would have been 5/5 if had better internet and the wife didn’t like the bed, I thought it slept fine, great communication with host, centrally located to a bunch of wineries, house was very clean and the little notes throughout the house was a nice touch

Pros: The duplex is beautiful. A great place to socialize with so many indoor and outdoor seating options. It is fully stocked with everything you need. Hot tub was perfect and the robes were a great touch. Kikis coffee and davis pastry are a must stop attraction. Amazing!
Cons: not much to complain about. There are 4 beds but no pictures to really understand the arrangement. One room has the queen bed and the other room has a twin top bunk and twin trundle that rolls out from under the bottom bunk. Also, single ply toilet paper is supplied so you may want to invest in your own.

This was such a great place for my friends and I to stay. Whether you plan on going out on an adventure or staying in, this place is perfect! It was so clean, and had great amenities.

The property was very clean and the accommodations exceeding our expectations. The first floor was spacious and offered a lot of activities. Our favorite spot was the backyard. We had dinner at the table and relaxed in the hot tub every night. The hosts were very helpful and provided a binder with all the information you would need. I would definitely stay here again!
