This was our second stay and we enjoyed it again!

We ventured up to NH for a winter holiday - we got there in the dark and the road was extremely icy and not well lit at all. I would have expected someone to mention that during booking. The house is absolutely gorgeous and I found myself looking for summer availability almost as soon as I got there. However - I recommend you bring your own sheets, pillows and comforters. The cheapest polyester bed linens covered each bed. They were not only uncomfortable- they were rather out of place such a grand and expensive home. And there are still water issues (heat and pressure). I asked about the issues (as a previous renter mentioned them) and I was told they had been taken care of. They haven’t. Someone came out to the house after multiple cold showers and washing the dishes with cold water. They also cleaned out all shower heads to help with pressure. It was great that they came right out A however - I inquired about it before I booked. Was told it was fixed. I would have thought they’d have done the maintenance before we got there. The hot water issue was strange. The showers were cold but the tubs in the same bathrooms were warm. Gorgeous property - some unfortunate shortcuts.

The “Hideaway” was a lot of fun. Great place with awesome views and excellent amenities. We would all go back!

In late October our family of 10 overcame our geographic spread (NH to Virginia to Western Canada) to gather at The Hideway to celebrate my husband’s 80th birthday. Our five-day stay was a huge success. We had plenty of room to all gather in one place or divide ourselves into smaller groups. The kitchen accommodated gourmet menus and we enjoyed meals with all of us seated at the same table. The weather was brisk but sunny. Whether outdoors or inside, the view of Lake Winnipesaukee delighted us with the constant presence of spectacular views. We had a great time.

A group of friends go away every Columbus Day weekend and this year we picked The Hideaway. It was everything the listing said and more. The photos do not do it justice. The home is incredible and the views were breathtaking. We loved our weekend and had a great time. We will be back for sure!

This house was the perfect spot tucked away in the hills! Great views of Winnipesaukee from the decks, bedrooms and pool. Our group fit comfortably, plenty of rooms and extra sleeping spots. The house was clean and had plenty of linens. Property manager was quick to answer. We stayed late September so was a little chilly to be outside in the pool, but hot tub was great to have as well as propane heaters. Water pressure in shower was only thing that comes to mind of needing improvement, but had plenty of hot water. Excited to come back!

Exceptional property with a very relaxing view of the lake. This is a must stay house ! Our group had a very relaxing stay. The property manager was very responsive.

I can’t say enough about this property. When we first arrived, it took us quite a bit to just take everything in. The pictures on the site are accurate, but do not do a justice. This house is beautiful and the view is spectacular. We kept taking the same pictures over and over because we could not believe the view. The house was perfectly clean. We spilled a drink the first day, and quickly grabbed a paper towel to pick it up. Not a spec of dirt was on the floor. The fans were not dusty, the sheets were all professionally cleaned. We did not feel the need to wipe off common surfaces as we had in other rentals. The host left extras around such as a stocked s’more station, extra floats for the pool, and all the kitchen appliances you could need. She was very responsive when we couldn’t not find the log in email - and texted me back within 10 minutes of me messaging her - truly the best host we have encountered so far. You will not regret renting this home, we will most definitely return soon!!

This is the third time we have stayed at this house and the views are amazing! We always have a great time and look forward to coming back again.

The home was beautiful, just as the pictures displayed. There was plenty of room for the 10 of us (three family units) to spread out. And the check In and check out process were well communicated and clear.

This house is beautiful. The views are amazing. We loved hanging out at the pool, grilling, etc. We were two families vacationing together, which was perfect. One family was upstairs, one family was on the main floor and kids could hang out in the lower level. It could not have been a more perfect vaction!

Our stay at this home was magnificent. The property provides stunning views from every vantage point. The home is well appointed and well managed - it had everything we needed. There is plenty of space in the home for everyone, including a beautiful pool and large outdoor living area. The property manager was responsive and easy to exchange with as we planned our arrival. It was a beautiful setting for our extended family holiday. You can’t miss the amazing sunrise and sunset as well as the starry sky at night! Definitely a 5 star property!

The Hideaway is simply wonderful!! We were at a very disappointing rental in 2021, so I began looking for something for the next year while still on that vacation. I saw the Hideaway's listing and fell in love with it immediately. I showed the listing to our multi-generational family and everyone said...."can't wait!" With that much anticipation for a whole year, disappointment could have been great. But our lofty expectations came true. This home is fabulous! If you look at the photos in the listing, that is what you get! A beautifully built and well-appointed home. There is enough space for gathering and as well as private space. The kitchen was well appointed as were other amenities. The outdoor space is simply magnificent. The views must be seen to be believed---spectacular! The outdoor spaces like the firepit, lounging areas, dining areas, and hot tub were great and well used. And then there is this unique and beautiful infinity pool. The materials and design of the pool are masterful. We all loved every moment that we spent there and cannot wait to be back next year. Our planning and anticipation for next year has already begun! Gorgeous home. Gorgeous property. Loved our time here. Our only complaint is the refrigerator hadn't been cleaned and something had been spilled under parts of glass shelving that we couldn't access to clean. Ended up cleaning it ourselves on arrival and putting piece of cardboard box over the spilled stain. For the price point this was disappointing but not insurmountable. The place and the view were so beautiful we rarely left the property.

We loved this house and pool. We had a fantastic time. Tip for rainy day fun...play corn hole in the garage. Lol

$1,000,000 view is probably an understatement. Our adult family (8 adults, 1 child) used every room in the house at one time or another. Great space to be together or to have your privacy. VRBO property managers responded promptly to every question.

We stayed here for 4 night over Thanksgiving. Make sure you pay attention to the map they send! It clearly shows where the home is as it's a little tucked away. The views are incredible - I could have stared out the huge windows all day long and it was a great thing to wake up to and sit for a moment with some coffee. The house itself is large, well appointed, and thoughtfully furnished. We were 6 adults and 4 little kids (2-7 years old) and we all had more than enough space to hang out together but also separately. The outside area is cozy, even in the winter, as there is a lamp heater outdoors, so we were still able to make smores! The hot tub is great and I imagine in the summer the pool must be amazing. One minor thing was that there are tons of tvs yet not all of them seemed to work, though to be honest we didn't spend a lot of time trying. The one in the family room worked perfectly and that was the one that we needed. The property manager mentioned the remotes might have gotten switched around and we didn't try all of them so that's likely - might be helpful to label them going forward, since they are all Roku or Amazon remotes. Otherwise, we had pretty much everything we needed and had a wonderful time!

The house is beautiful as well as the setting, but I am giving this a two star rating because I booked this house because we particularly wanted a hot tub. The hot tub was dirty and not usable for the duration of our 3 night stay. The owner was apologetic and said the pool person would be by to clean it but they never did. Also, the fridge had harden on juice under the glass shelf and crumbs throughout when we arrived. In addition, we had 9 people staying at the house but after three showers there was absolutely no hot water left. The fireplace in the living room was also broken. When I asked if the owners would consider a partial refund given these issues and a modest refund was offered on the condition I give them a 5 star rating. I feel this is very poor business and am very disappointed.
