Great location, nearby Jackson Gore lot for skiing at Okemo. Comfortable areas to hang out on the main level and lower level. Easily enough room for the 8 people in our group. Bedrooms were nice and private from each other. Nice view in the morning overlooking the lake.

We had a wonderful long weekend at Lake Rescue. Home had everything you need and more! Very comfortable set up for two families. Host was very responsive and answered our questions immediately. I would gladly stay again. Highly recommend.

My daughter got married in Ludlow. Looked for a place for my husband and me along with my son and family. This house was absolutely perfect and exceeded our expectations. Just pack your bags and any food you need to bring - you will not need anything else. This home is equipped with everything you may possibly need.
First time renting with VRBO, everything was quick and easy along with the host answering my questions immediately.
Highly recommend it.

We had a great week on Lake Rescue. We were travelling with our two adult children, their husbands and our 20 month old granddaughter.
The house sits right across a small driveway from the lake, and has great views from the deck, which was a perfect place for morning coffee. My daughter loved lounging in the hammock on the deck with a book. 5 kayaks were provided (we brought a sixth) and so we were all able to kayak the lake in the early mornings.
The house has everything you could possibly need. The kitchen has plenty of plates, cups and bowls, as well as cooking pots and pans. All were of high quality and easy to clean. The towels provided were fluffy and soft as well. There are plenty of beds and all the mattresses were comfortable, and multiple pillows were provided for all of them.
Ludlow is centrally located and this house allowed us to visit Bromley to the south and Killington to the north without travelling more than 45 minutes to either place. There are plenty of restaurants and shoos in the local area. We travelled after terrible flooding in Ludlow, so the local grocery store was closed due to damage, but there are many general stores to pick up needed items.
We did have a few questions (and a small problem with a hungry bear!) and Michael, the owner, was easy to contact and was very quick to respond.
Overall, we had a wonderful time and would highly recommend this house. We look forward to staying here again.

Our stay at this property was great. It is just as described and is less than 10 minutes to the Jackson Gore base. Michael was responsive and answered our questions leading up to check-in.
We have stayed at many rentals and can easily say the kitchen at Mabel’s was the best stocked in terms of dishes, pans, utensils, etc. We had 3 small children who loved the sleeping loft area.
We would definitely stay at this property again!

The house was as described and close to Okemo. There was plenty of room and it was great to have a well-stocked kitchen. We would definitely go back.

This lovely cabin was perfect for my family of 8 adults. The tastefully decorated cabin was quite spacious and comfortable. The kitchen had everything we needed to prepare meals. The owners also provided kayaks and tubes for fun on the water as well as a game table in the lower level for any rainy days and firewood for our nightly gatherings around the firering. We would not hesitate to recommend this property to anyone who wants to vacation in beautiful Vermont.

Wonderful Ski Retreat
Four couples fit wonderfully in this great house. Both upstairs and downstairs were great to relax in and fit our whole group easily. The kitchen was well stocked and had very new appliances so we easily kept our whole group fed. Couldn't have asked for a better weekend!

This property is much bigger than we expected. There are many options for a big family to spread out and relax. We were there to ski at Okemo and the house is only about a mile from the Jackson Gore parking. We had a great time! A big thank you to the owner for his regular and helpful communication.

House is amazing, for all of us comfortably, lots of space and beautiful locatio ! Close to Okemo/Killington, owner was very open with communication the entire time! Would definitely visit again!

We rented this house with several friends to go skiing at Okemo. The house was in a great location set back behind one house on Lake Rescue. The VRBO listing is accurate for location as this house is a max 10min drive to Shaws in Ludlow. Traffic has been very bad getting to the mountain in the morning but this house is on the Jackson Gore side of the mountain so you come from the other side of the highway missing the heavy traffic.
All the rooms were cleaned extremely well and the beds all had either a mattress topper or a high quality mattress. The basement is a great hangout with the airhockey, ping pong, darts to stay entertained.
We had no complaints as all the amenities noted in the listing and on Mike's check in form he will send were accurate and more than what we needed. Something not noted on the list is glove and boot warmers which we used extensively before and after skiing. Also the pellet stove is a great perk of the house and it will certainly warm up the whole place after being on for 30 mins or so.
Mike was a great host and made sure to check in over our stay to see how things were going. He was available anytime we needed him. Overall great stay and would definitely book this place again with friends.

Ski week at Okemo
Ideally located (<5 minutes from mountain) ski / lake house that was very well maintained and nicely furnished. The house was well stocked and had everything we needed. Overall, great location and house and we would certainly stay here again.

Beautiful house that actually exceed the expectations from the photos. Very thoughtfully appointed. A beautiful and well equipped kitchen made it a pleasure for the nights we decided to eat in. Great little cove on Lake Rescue. So nice even the loons visited!

We stayed for a week during the summer. Location is great with the lake across the street and the water toys at the house. Close proximity to the town of Ludlow for great Restaurants and shopping. House was clean and modern and as described. Host was great with communication and helping out with any questions or local activities. Would recommend.

We had a great time! Michael was a wonderful host. He responded to all of our questions and the house was very comfortable. It is VERY close to Okemo (less than 10 minutes), so we did a lot of skiing. There was A LOT of snow, but someone was at the house almost daily to plow the driveway and shovel the deck, so we had no issues at all. We would definitely return. Thank you!

We had a great time! Michael was a wonderful host. He responded to all of our questions and the house was very comfortable. It is VERY close to Okemo (less than 10 minutes), so we did a lot of skiing. There was A LOT of snow, but someone was at the house almost daily to plow the driveway and shovel the deck, so we had no issues at all. We would definitely return. Thank you!
