This home was perfect for our group of 3 couples with their 6 children ranging from 6 years old to 20 years old. It was immaculate when we arrived. We had plenty of space for everyone and the kitchen was designed for easily cooking for a large group. The location of the house was wonderful-directly out the back deck to the calm bay and just a few minutes out the front to the gulf for those of us who wanted more waves. The owners answered all of my questions and had friendly and fast communication. Only small cons to be aware of-mattresses are not comfortable and the deck furniture was flimsy, which made people worry about breaking it whenever they sat down. Besides those two things, we all agreed the house was amazing and we would all highly recommend it. Beautiful home and very relaxing vacation.

This house is fantastic. When we arrived, I found the living space to be larger than I expected from the photos. The layout and furnishings were perfect for our group of 6 adults and 3 kids, with plenty of room to spare. The beach was great! Most days it was quiet and private with calm waters perfect for the kids. We had fun watching the pelicans and seagulls. Just one bit of advice for future travelers: bring water shoes as we had to walk over a lot of shells to get into the water and that made it much easier! Perfect house for a family beach trip!

Pros: Beautiful house. Great location. Great communication with property manager. Cons: Not the cleanest (dirty diaper under a bed, moldy/stinky clothes washer, sand/dog hair on the floor, very dirty HVAC filter), gas grill propane tank was empty, internet connection was hit or miss. Overall, it was a beautiful house for our big family group with easy access to the bay or Gulf. We would stay here again.

We had a wonderful time. This was our first time coming to Dauphin Island! Enjoyed the laidback atmosphere! The house was awesome! Only suggestion is more comfy mattresses on the King beds. We hope to come back soon!

Having the Bay to the back of the home and the ocean to the front was ideal for fishing, playing in the water, searching for shells, and watching the dolphins, sea gulls, pelicans, cranes, and all the other birds that make the area their home. One of the most relaxing trips I have had. We would love to visit this home again.

Well worth it! We had an amazing time and were well accommodated. We will be back to stay for sure! Pure paradise and the property owners were fabulous.

Soul Surfing is a beautiful home, thank you for sharing it with us!! The weather was great even the storm we waited all day to watch it roll in and it didn’t show up until 11 pm, but the light show from it was great!! Totally enjoyed the peace and quiet!

By far, one of the best beach trips we have ever had! The house is absolutely beautiful. It is very spacious and has everything you need. We loved the option of the beach side or the bay side. The Pac-Man game was a hit with the kids and the adults! We made so many great memories and will definitely return again.

The gulf side was very rough while we were there but we still enjoyed walks to the West End Beach. The back porch was probably my favorite place. The house was beautiful. The location was perfect. The rental company was very responsive. The only issue was the amount of animal hair that was in the house. One person in our party is allergic to dogs and spent the week sneezing and stuffy.

We did not spend much time of the bay side because my kids like the waves. Dauphin Island is beautiful. I just wish there were more restaurants to choose from. I don't cook when we are on vacation so we like more variety.

Beautiful house. House was on the bay side. We had our own private beach. Water was much more calm than on ocean side which was perfect since we had 2 small children with us. Enjoyed our stay.

The house was large enough to accommodate our group family (6 adults and 6 children ages 1-11yo) vacation very comfortably. The house was very clean, tidy and well decorated! The rooms and bathrooms are all a great size! There were plenty of bathroom towels. All the beds, pillows, and linens were comfy and smelt nice. The kids rooms were fun and inviting! The kitchen was well stocked and functional - the only thing I couldn't find was an ice cream scoop, which only matters if you're the person dipping up ice cream for everyone! However, this speaks to how well stocked the kitchen is that I'm even mentioning an ice cream scoop! There is no garage disposal, not a negative, but if you're use to having one maybe this will save you from searching for the disposal switch ;) The property and location is BEAUTIFUL! We absolutely loved the Bay! If you have children and are on the fence about staying on the Bay side or ocean side, pick the Bay! We are so glad we did! The children were able to play endlessly without being knocked down by crashing waves! It was the most relaxing beach time us parents have every had because we actually got to sit in our beach chairs! The water is pleasantly shallow. Bring water shoes for everyone thought, there are lots of shells and rocks. Seriously don't forget the water shoes! There were plenty of seating outside and inside. The only thing that could have made our stay more relaxing with so many young children is if there had been a gate at the top of the deck stairs. All of us agreed we would absolutely stay in this house again! We have vacationed together every summer for 8 years, I can say hands down this was my favorite vacation! Side note: Rent kayaks, we rented several for half the week and had an amazing time exploring! This was our first visit to Dauphin Island and it is truly a special place! I grew up on the NC coast and I feel blessed to have had new experiences here. So many cool birds to see, there are hermit crabs and regular crabs, we saw stingrays and dolphins several times in the bay, we kayaked and we fished, the kids scooped minnows out of the water with their nets in the evening! It was all such an amazing experience! Join the Dauphin Island fb group and the Dauphin Island app to get a feel for all the island has to offer before you arrive! Rent this house! It won't disappoint!!

This is a beautiful, dog-friendly beach house located on the bay side of Dauphin Island. If you have little ones ( or dogs!) not quite ready for the waves, this property is perfect. However, if you like waves, you just have to walk across the street. The house itself is amazing! We had 3 adults, 4 kids ranging from 2-9 and a dog and had more than enough space. We had a couple questions while we were there and they were answered promptly. The house was clean and comfortable; it's obvious the owners take great care of this place. The house is not far from the end of the west part of the island so it's quiet; not a lot of through traffic even though there is a public beach at the end. We had a great time and highly recommend this property!
