Great stay for my group of friends! This place was so adorable and well decorated. Communication with Allison was very easy.

Stained and dirty furniture covers and area rugs; active train track less that 100 yards from property; patio furniture stained and dirty; musty or similar odor easily detectable; not a three bedroom as advertised. The cottage is priced appropriately for the market but the “exceptional” reviews are misleading based on my experience with VRBO properties. We enjoyed our long weekend but expectations were much higher given previous reviews and property description. Expect a reasonably priced accommodation with the listed issues you will need to overlook.

We loved our stay at this beautiful Michigan home. The house itself is adorable, clean, and accurately matches the photos on the listing. We didn’t do a lot of cooking at the house, but it’s seems to be well stocked with everything you would need. It’s a great location to beaches and all the cute little towns along the Red Arrow Highway. We would definitely stay here again!

This was a perfect little rental for myself and my brother for my mothers celebration of life in New Buffalo.It has a beautiful backyard and the interior is adorable.. the kitchen is very
Nice but only used it for breakfast.. its in a quiet woodsy area, close to new buffalo. It only has one bedroom with a proper bed the other bedroom is bunkbeds, so my tall brother had to sleep in a kid’s bunk.. probably perfect for a couple with kids. The host was very responsive and helpful. If i ever visit again I would stay here, other family members rented places that were just atrocious, badly decorated and moldy. This place is a gem

Totally loved this home! We had a girls weekend with 4 teens and 2 moms. Lovely relaxing front porch that also was our bedroom bc of the extra beds out in the enclosed porch...felt like we were sleeping under the stars yet had the comforts of air conditioning and large windows. House very comfy and open with wonderful kitchen and modern bathroom! Will definately return!!

Loved our stay at Lakeside. The house was clean and well stocked for trips to the lake. The back yard is peaceful and quiet and used the fire pit nightly. Alison is also a terrific host.

Romantic Retreat
While the pictures of this house are great, the actual home leaves you in awe! The home is amazingly decorated and takes on a chic, comfy, quaint, and romantic style all in one! Everything is immaculate and fresh which makes you feel comfortable staying. The home is equipped with anything you could need for cooking, (especially a wine opener), a plethora of towels, and lots of great blankets for curling up with wine on the sofa. The outside is great, although we didn’t get to take advantage of the backyard as it rained quite a bit the day we stayed in. The location is secluded at the bottom of a dead end and surrounded by trees and nature. The home is a short drive to anything/everything. You can tell Alison knows what she’s doing! Would stay here over and over again!

Amazing House!!
We had such a wonderful time staying in this house!! The house itself was clean, beautifully designed/appointed, very quiet and felt very safe. We were visited by Deer in the backyard every night and morning of our stay!! Our group included myself, my wife, our 2 year old son and 10 month old daughter.
The house has everything you need except for food, which can be found at the stores listed on the hosts very helpful local guide. The beach, stores, restaurants and local attractions are all within a 10 minute drive, and the area and all of the people we met were just lovely.
Cannot recommend this house enough, and we cannot wait to come back!

Cozy chic house
We had a great time staying for a week. The house is very spacious, nicely furnished and comfortable. Plenty of space to comfortably relax in your own corner of the house, even with kids. We spent a lot of time on the back patio by the fire pit which is surrounded by beautiful old trees and visited by deer and wild turkeys.
It’s about a 10 minute drive to stores, restaurants and the beaches. We had a few delicious meals in the surrounding towns and made some quick meals at the house. Everything we needed was provided by the owner, including very useful information about the area. Highly recommend this property.

Clean, decorated nicely by someone who knows about space. Having two day beds on the screened in porch and two couches in the living space makes it so spacious and comfortable. Nice outdoor area. Comfortable bed and good water pressure. Knowing the area/market well, I do think the nightly cost is high for two in mid May when the weather is iffy and most things are closed. For a family or two couples in the summer, it would be the right rate. Would recommend.

Lovely long weekend
Everything was beautiful and true to photos. We enjoyed the property a great deal! Alison was a responsive and clear communicator when we did need her for a minor question. We would happily return again!

It is in a winter wonderland setting (and I am sure lush green in summer), centrally located to the places of interest for us - snow tubing in Berrien Springs and sledding in Warren Dunes Park. Designer touches all over, lovely fireplace for the snowy evenings. We will be back!!

Our small family took a Feb weekend trip to our favorite part of Michigan and we had a fantastic time at Lilly Bell cottage. It is in a winter wonderland setting (and I am sure lush green in summer), centrally located to the places of interest for us - snow tubing in Berrien Springs and sledding in Warren Dunes Park. Designer touches all over, lovely fireplace for the snowy evenings. We will be back!!

The perfect cottage
Beautifully decorated and stocked with supplies, my family of four had a perfect getaway here. The large yard offered a place for my kids to run and explore and we took a trip to warren dunes just down the road for some more exercise. Thank you for a great stay!

We love all things Lakeside, MI, and this charmer is no different. Alison has made this cottage absolutely dreamy. Build a fire, read a book, listen to some music with wine, and you have yourself the perfect fall or winter weekend.

The property was great. It was clean and bright, the skylights are awesome and lets in lots of natural light. The location with the backyard and trees was fabulous. It was very windy and cold when we went and unfortunately did not get to enjoy as much. My only con is the stove. If you plan on cooking a meal that requires more than one burner you are out of luck. Plus I had to look up how to use the convection hotplate, never having used one before. The pan must be on it before it will heat up. I only planned to cook one meal in. I was able to do it, it was a little trying to get everything warm and plated at the same time. I highly recommend this rental. It had everything we needed.

Drinking Coffee on the Lovely Back Deck
The property was in a nicely secluded area with lots of beautiful trees and evergrees. Hours could have been spent on the back deck looking at all of the nature that surrounded us.
My only criticism is that there was not a stove or oven. I usually show up with professional equipment to bake cookies and decorate them. Luckily, I had decided not to do the cookies this year. If I had, the toaster over would not have been sufficient. And having only a single induction cooktop would have made preparing great meals a challenge. So, we ordered in quite a bit.

Great Country Cottage
This was the perfect cottage for a long weekend get away. It's beautifully decorated, on a lovely forested lot with a fire pit and back deck. It's super clean and the owner Alison is beyond helpful and responsive. I look forward to returning. Great memories.

Charming getaway
This darling house was perfect for our 3 day fall break trip. The yard was great for our kids while we sat by the fire pit with drinks. I enjoyed daily porch naps. The beds were very comfortable and the house had everything we needed!
