Lovely small place to stay near the center. My partner and I loved it, highly recommend as a place to stay with your partner, close to breakfast /coffee in the am then a short drive to the mountain and a short walk to Alchemist and being next to the Blue Donkey was great perk.

room was clean & location was perfect on the mountain road. wed to sat was my original reservation. my key code malfunctioned after i requested a sunday extension for check out which was very frustrating! other than that my experience was fantastic. also the blue donkey bar right next door was AWSOME too!

This was a clean and spacious place for two people to hole up while running a nearby running race. Other than the fact that we found this place vastly preferable to an expensive chain hotel, I don't have much else to say except that I am going to address a few reviews we found to be misleading.
First, I'm not sure why people are so upset about being able to "see into the basement." Basically, there are a couple floorboards near the entrace with about an 1/8 inch gap that admits some light from the basement, which is apparently used by the restaurant. It's by the entrance and nowhere near the bedroom. Big deal. Cover it with a towel if it bugs you.
Second, the restaurant is hardly a "dive bar" as someone stated. It's basically a burgers-and-beer place, and it looked OK to me. We stayed here on a Saturday and a Sunday, and on both days, the restaurant was pretty quiet near closing time, and when they closed at 10pm, it was totally silent. The noise from the nearby road was much louder than anything coming from the restaurant. We had no trouble sleeping.
Third, to the person complaining that this place does not comfortably sleep two couples: correct. It is a one-bedroom rental. There is indeed a curtain between the "living room" and the "bedroom" but really, you should think of this place as kind of like a studio apartment.
We'd stay here again.

Beautiful studio close to small town stowe. It was quite expensive for a single nights stay for what we got, not to mention the check-in and out was super late in comparison to a hotel, we were only able to check in at 4;00 and check out was at 10am, so it was really expensive to just sleep there at that price, and manager was not accommodating. Wouldn't recommend to anyone unless it was the last place available. Only thing convenient was the location.

Not good. Hard to find - no signage, historical house that needs tender loving care that it is not getting. Shared entryway which was cluttered and messy. As another person said, can see through to the basement on some floor boards. Kitchen in want of supplies, dirty windows, small shower. The pictures they posted were during the winter, which may give it a more favorable look.

The Stowe Mountain Road Escape was the perfect spot to escape for a fun weekend in the mountains with my husband. The location could not have been better. It's right down the street from The Alchemist, and the Stowe Farmer's Market is right across the street (on Sundays). The unit was very clean and well-appointed. The bed was comfortable, and there were extra linens provided in the closet (we like extra pillows). We did not use the kitchen, but it seemed to be well stocked. We used the wifi on our phones and we streamed Netflix on the TV and had no issues. Parking was great - very convenient. I was curious if the adjoining bar would be noisy, but I never heard anything. It was a nice, quiet, cozy little spot. We would love to come back.

This place was great! It is a short 10 minute drive down the road from Stowe resort. The Blue Donkey next door had great food and drinks. They had all the amenity a place should come with. Plenty of towels, garbage bags, soap, blankets, and pillows. I stayed here with two other people so we had to bring an air mattress so we all had somewhere to sleep. There were two things that were a slight issue. The couch folds out to a bed, which is great for an extra place to sleep but it is not comfortable at all. Also, the Wi-Fi was not great which they do warn you it’s not the best. Using your phone is fine but streaming movies off streaming apps were laggy. All and all, I would stay here again. Vacasa did a great job making us feel welcome and comfortable.

First of all, it’s in a historical building from 1839… so cool! Location was great, 5 minute drive to the mountain and walking distance to a bunch of restaurants, bars, and stores. Will definitely be back!

Cute stay, location is great close to downtown! PK coffee and Idyltyme are 2 minutes down the street , greats spots.
There is a restaurant next door but its not too noisy most nights.

Loved everything but the lack of cell service/wifi. The wifi dropped constantly but that’s not a bad thing for those needing to “unplug”

The bed in the place was very comfortable. There were some other reviews that discussed being able to see into the basement- totally true but just in the hallway and really not that big an issue. It says it sleeps 4 - but the futon in the living room is separated only by a curtain so there’d be little privacy if two couples are traveling together. Outside of downtown Stowe so away from the craziness of the downtown area. I never plan to travel to Stowe again but if I did I’d stay in this place a second time.

Easy check in process. Stay was clean and comfortable. Easy walking distance to many places as well as short driving distance. A little bit of trouble locking the door but spare key was available.

Perfectly comfortable
This was a cozy and comfy little spot for a few nights’ stay. Close to good pizza at Piecasso, and good coffee at PK Coffee. The town is kinda sleepy in comparison to where we’re from (Philadelphia) which made it easy to relax. I was surprised to have so many good food options in the surrounding town. I will say that there isn’t a lot to ~do~ in Stowe if you’re not into skiing and snowboarding, but we were just looking to relax. The unit is plenty large enough for two adults, and it was nice and clean when we arrived. Most amenities we were looking for (like silverware etc) were provided as well. You can hear the tenants moving around upstairs, but as city people we’re used to that and it wasn’t an issue for us. Check in and out was simple and we’d stay here again if we returned to Stowe.

You could stay here…but I wouldn’t recommend it. The fact that we left early (only stayed two nights of our four night stay) should tell you all you need to know.
The main issue is that the owner, I think, of the property insisted on blasting loud, bass-heavy music All. Night. Long. On our first night it last from about 9:30PM to maybe 1:00AM. But night two was a whole different story: the music started at 9:30PM and, when we left to go skiing at 8:30 the next morning, it was still going. I slept for an hour. Both nights I called the 800-number provided and filed a complaint with Vacasa. It appears that on the second night the property owner, who owns the bar attached to the building, turned the music on full blast and left- out of spite in response to multiple complaints from the night before. This was a Sunday and Monday night by the way. I will say the Vacasa property manager with whom I finally spoke was very nice and apologetic. Apparently this guy (the property owner) has been a problem for some time. So, we decided we couldn’t stay through another night and left after only two. Other issues:
- The property could have been cleaner
- There’s some issue going on with the heater filter, which resulted in constant beeping our entire stay (five beeps every 10 minutes, it’s seared into my brain). We tried to fix it and could not.
- There is a kitchen but no cleaning supplies- nothing to spray down the counter before/after you cook.
- The futon was very grimy and gross…we sat on towels. Also not comfortable to sit on.
- The bed was a full, not a queen as noted in the listing. One reviewer commented that they were sweating through the mattress during their stay and I couldn’t get that out of my mind..gross.
- It’s an old building, which is fine. But you can see the basement through the floorboards which is a little creepy.
- The “restaurant” next door is actually in the same building, not “less than 100 feet away.” Also, it’s no longer a tapas bar, it’s now a dive bar. As I stated, the bar owner also owns and rents the apartments next door and has no regard for guests.
This was truly awful and I’d stay far far away from this property. I truly have no idea what the other positive (and even apologetic) reviewers below are talking about; I suspect these are not real reviews.

Great location
Very clean great location.
Minus which were totally my fault no hairdryer and washing machine dryer - that would have made it perfect. Like I said this was my oversight - everything was listed I. The description. We have two pre teens so for a long weekend of mostly skiing the space was a perfect fit for us

Historic building. Nicely renovated. Stained glass in a window frame from the shower to the bedroom. Wide plank ancient pine flooring. Delightful.

Description is accurate. Place was clean, comfy, fairly priced and very convenient to Stowe Mtn Resort. Not a huge fan of the check-in/check-out gaps (4pm in, 10am out) but it is what it is. Bring your own wine glasses or you're working with a coffee mug or a pint glass, just an FYI. Overall a pretty cool spot. I recommend to skiers and I look forward to staying again.

We loved the location of this unit. The size was just big enough for our family of 4 (two young children). Clean and exactly as pictured.

#1 owner needs to label these properties at the electronic lock system so people know which place they are going to!!! Bad start when you cannot get into the rental!
#2 the electronic lock does not work on the ground level apt. When you try to lock it when you leave for the day it just keeps trying to lock and then automatically stays open!
#3 no instructions on where to put the trash. What if you have more than 1 bag of trash? Where does it go?? Minimal information and minimal kitchen stocking for cooking. Not even an extra blanket, potholders, corkscrew for wine. Just some ideas to have available for people.
