This was not a place I felt comfortable. The windows in the livingroom made me feel as though I was being watched. The windows in the bedroom only had sheer curtains on them and you could see in so I put towels over them. I think this house is in need of a lot of updating. It has a wonderful location and view. Just a little too old and not very cozy or comfortable.

The house was convenient, in good condition, and comfortable. The picture gives impression that the house overlooks the ocean - it does not really (you cannot see the beach) - however, it's only a short walk. Overall a really nice place - would stay again. With only one bathroom, it might be difficult to fit 6 people.

Our party of 4 adults very much enjoyed this 2bedroom 1large bath home. The home was very clean, ( aside from the windows) nice towel/linens, kitchenware needed updating but appliance options good. Heating was good. Spacious seating in living room. The Island struggles with hard water...leaving the coffee maker to fail but the property mtg came with a new pot in less than 39 mins of our call to them! Nice! One large Bedroom has a king bed and large sitting area. A second bedroom is small and has a queen bed. Tight fit. I would recommend 2 twin xl beds to serve together as a king or separately for 2 adults not partners. Overall it’s a quiet, peaceful location close to the beach, a lovely trails for lots of views a scenic opportunity.

Our family of four had a wonderful stay at Eagle Cove Lookout. The house was comfortable, clean and we loved the location. We also enjoyed the fireplaces, walk around porch and huge yard. Walks down to the beach were an easy out the door adventure. Playing in the sand and searching for treasure among the rocks & driftwood kept our young boys entertained for hours.We were so glad we brought our bikes, the National Park is right around the corner and that was our favorite day trip of many. You can ride from the house to the park and then take a hike with amazing views from there, super fun, pack a picnic.We'll keep this house on our short list of places to return for sure. Thanks!

This property was great for a family weekend. Plenty of room to hang out, play games, cook meals together. The bathroom is huge, so wasn't an issue to share with 4 people. Easy walk to Eagle cove and to get to American camp trails and South Beach.

My family of 5 absolutely loved staying here. Perfect location. We loved our time on the beach. So convenient. Just as advertised. Very clean. Very responsive. Well stocked with towels. The structure and design has the charm of Pacific Northwest island, which is part of the experience…not meant for modern chic. We absolutely recommend

Great Location and layout. The place was well stocked. There are A LOT of old books which made the indoor air smell musty and moldy. Outdoor furniture needs proper cushions and removal of the hundreds of spider nests. Had to wash every pot, pan, dish and cup before using as they were not clean. Discovered a pot holder jammed in the back of the dishwasher which may have contributed to this from the previous renter. Had people walking thru the property the first day.

Dated but real nice
The house is dated but real nice. Well supplied and comfortable. Windows we’re open and fans going was very comfortable the minute we walked in. We didn’t know the windows were one way Windows that makes it hard for people outside to see in so with no window covers first night was uneasy sleeping.

Beautiful location, but the home was not as advertised
The location of the home was stunning and just across the street from the trail to Granny's Cove. The home itself was the pretty typical "island" home and was dated, but very spacious. When I booked the place it said that it slept 6 people. Come to find out, this was false advertising. There are two queen beds and then another bed in a loft, but you cannot get up there. So, it actually sleeps 4 people. We had 5 in our party and I was left to sleep on the couch in the living room. This couch did NOT have a pull out bed. In addition, the living room is full of windows, but know blinds or drapes, so the cars driving by at night and the light on the garage kept the living room lit up. Essentially, I did not sleep well the entire time. Had I know the sleeping arrangements I would not have booked. Lastly, There we not extra paper towels or garbage bags, so I borrowed from the neighbor so we could actually clean the place upon departure.

I’d rather stay at the hotel from “The Shining”
We walked into this house, which hasn’t been updated for at least 20 years, and were smacked in the face by the worst pungent, musty smell ever. Despite opening windows (of which there are few - the windows you see in the living room do not open) and turning on fans, it didn’t dissipate. Our son, who has environmental allergies and reacts to mold, was coughing, hoarse and complaining of a sore throat within about 30 minutes. While visually clean, there is only so much you can do about furniture, cabinetry, flooring AND dishes (!) from 1980. Even the refrigerator is an original. For the amount this place is charging, they could afford to put a little money into the home. After 3 hours, we couldn’t take it anymore and paid another place double just to salvage our time in San Juan. We have rented homes through VRBO for 10+ years and have never written a bad review. We were so disappointed with this place that we had to warn others.

The home was spacious and comfortable for 2 couples. It has everything we needed and was quiet and peaceful. We walked to the beach every evening and played games in the living room. The one bathroom was fine because it was big enough to share while getting ready for the day or for bed. We would love to come back!

Loved the adjacency to the San Juan Island National Historical Park - great running trails begin just steps away from the house! We had a very nice stay. Keep in mind that this property isn't on the water, it's across the street (i.e. there's a single row of homes in between you and the beach). We mistakenly thought from photos that we would have water views from the house, which isn't the case, but it's still a great location and very close to Eagle Cove Beach. Property manager was very responsive and helpful. House was well stocked with kitchen supplies, etc. WiFi was pretty good.

Great location and the house met our needs perfectly. Our family of four stayed there three nights and the loft with a bed (accessible by a ladder) was a pleasant surprise. Our 14 year old son loved it! The proximity to the beautiful cove across the street and the short drive to Friday Harbor made this vacation home the perfect getaway!

Comfortable & Quiet Abode
Loved the adjacency to the San Juan Island National Historical Park - great running trails begin just steps away from the house! We had a very nice stay. Keep in mind that this property isn't on the water, it's across the street (i.e. there's a single row of homes in between you and the beach). We mistakenly thought from photos that we would have water views from the house, which isn't the case, but it's still a great location and very close to Eagle Cove Beach. Property manager was very responsive and helpful. House was well stocked with kitchen supplies, etc. WiFi was pretty good.

and utensils it would be more we had to purchase our own bottle opener it’s jus not a very comfortable homre, their are skylights everywhere which wake you up at the crack of dawn,,it was very hard to sleep in fact we left a day early jus to get a better nights sleep it’s very expensive for what you get We just had two weeks in Kauai and both out accommodations were superior and cheaper than this
our accommodation were of a higher standard and less expensive. Definitely will return to the island but NOT this property

We had a wonderful stay at this property. Not for you if looking for something ultra-modern, but definitely if you are looking for something lovely with lots of character. Very clean, well maintained, and with lots of amenities. Located outside of town and away from the ferry traffic, the house was very peaceful. A family of deer even stopped by one evening. View was a little distant and slightly obstructed, but we could still see the water. Well located for many of the island's State Parks. San Juan Property was also very responsive when we had a minor issue and for questions during booking. Recommend!

The house was clean and spacious, with everything you need inside - kitchen fully equipped with a lot of utensils, outdoor patio table and chairs, not issues with the running hot water.
The bad: (1) the shower leaks water outside, and it is not very comfortable to use and (2) there is not propane grill, only a charcoal grill, and with the fire restrictions on the island you cannot grill!
Also AT&T and T-Mobile signal is on and off around the property area, but there is internet (which was down for one day) and a smart TV easy to use.
