This property was all and more than expected. It was a much needed retreat for our little family. Thank y’all so much for sharing your amazing place. We made such sweet memories. And it was the perfect location for our family wedding weekend.

We just hosted 15 members of our family for our son’s wedding in Purceville, VA over the Labor Day Weekend. High Meadows provided a beautiful backdrop for the occasion and it was well suited for such a large gathering. Other than the bathroom/shower situation, which our guest were able to manage with relative ease, everything was perfect. Our hostess, Teri, was absolutely awesome to work with. I booked more than a year in advance so had plenty of opportunities to interact with her as I made plans and adjusted for our guests’ needs. She was very responsive and accommodating. The location is great too, near wineries, breweries, as well as great shopping and dining. I am thinking we will plan another trip when we can slow down and enjoy the property more.

This property was perfect for our visit to Northern VA for our daughter's wedding! It felt like we were visiting the English countryside, which was appropriate, since our daughter had been living in London for the past year. The house (the Manor) had so much charm and character. It was clean, comfortable and had everything we needed. It felt like a dream waking up there in the morning, and heading outside to walk the property, including through the meadow. The weather was perfect, and cool enough for us to enjoy dinner outside, under the lights. Even though it was close to the places we needed to go, including Leesburg, it felt like we were in our own little world. I can't remember the last time I was so sad to leave a Vrbo, and I hope we make it back! My husband did all the booking & communicating with the owner; she was pleasant to work with and quick to respond.

We absolutely loved our time in Bluemont at this beautiful country home. There was plenty of space for us to spread out and relax and we made good use of the hammock and fire pit! We really appreciated that our little dog could come along too! The beds were incredibly comfortable and the home was well stocked with cookware, wine glasses, etc. my only regret is that we couldn’t stay longer!

Beautiful property that takes you back in time, yet with all the modern amenities. We enjoyed baking and cooking meals in the well-equipped kitchen, eating together on the spacious dining area, playing board games and taking walks. The sun room has beautiful views of gorgeous sunsets. Raven Rocks hike is nearby for those up for an adventure.

Everything about our stay was amazing. The house was amazing and we immediately felt like we were home upon arrival. Couldn’t ask for a better trip and stay!

We are a group of four couples and the house was perfect for us. We took advantage of the numerous nearby hiking trails, breweries and wineries. Everyone was very happy with their accommodations and the well stocked kitchen. Definitely recommend the property and the area. We’ve been having this annual weekend getaway for 18 years and everyone agreed this is the favorite house to date.

Our week long stay was amazing, thanks to Teri, her husband and this beautiful property and the surroundings. This peaceful home allows for relaxation, comfy nights sleep, delicious food prepared in the well stocked kitchen, gorgeous views. House was clean and comfortable as can be. Pictures were accurate, the house was even larger than we thought. Plenty of spaces for togetherness and solitude for our group. We were lucky enough to meet the owners, who were delightful, full of interesting knowledge, and very accommodating. Easy communication, check in/out was a breeze, they supplied what we asked for, and provided all kinds of extras for a wonderful stay. Teri even went so far as to locating a misplaced item we may have left behind. They are the consummate hosts and know how to provide a lovely place to build memories!! There are smaller cottages on the grounds for additional rentals if you need extra lodging or flexibility in number of guests, some were rented during our stay but we were never disturbed in any way but other renters presence. Just a fabulous property. Many activities in the area for all kinds of fun, in all kinds of weather. Highly recommend, we hope to be back!!

Great, expansive property that was perfect for our New Year's Eve with friends and infants. The property is very close to DC and nestled very close to many breweries and wineries. The property also hosts some incredible sunsets! Teri was communicative and we had no issues. Would book location again!

Beautiful house and property and the perfect size for 4 old friends to get together for a relaxing weekend. The beds are comfortable, the house is charming, and we were surprised how well the kitchen was equipped for cooking (pots, cookie sheets, dishware, and even a rolling pin for making biscuits!) Would definitely return.

It would be impossible to come up with enough superlatives to describe this property, and its gracious host. We booked the property as a family base for our son’s nearby wedding, and as the place to host the rehearsal dinner. It was the perfect choice—beautifully decorated, room for people to gather, a beautiful deck under wisteria vines and lights where we set up tables, plenty of room to roam the lovely grounds, the fire pit enjoyed by our guests at the end of the evening. Really, it could not have been better. And, while I don’t wish to embarrass our host, she was truly outstanding—giving us tips for local help, and also offering to come to our rescue in unusual circumstances. She was everything you would wish a host to be. We wanted things to be just right for our son and beautiful daughter in law, and High Meadows was a huge part of making that so. Both gorgeous and homey. We’re already looking for reasons to go back!

I walked in the front door and saw the stove, large cutting board, big farmhouse sink, and cookbooks everywhere - and I was immediately home! This place is absolutely amazing - an old, beautifully updated stone farmhouse with all of the charm that you expect. We were a group of 6 adults and 1 dog and we enjoyed every part of our stay - especially the close location to breweries and wineries, and the giant fire pit with all the makings for smores. Worth every penny - absolutely no regrets with this one!

This is our second time staying at this property and we absolutely love it. It’s our favorite of all of the vacation homes we have rented. The house is clean and gorgeous, the grounds are beautiful and we love the fire pit. The house is just up the road from great hiking and an awesome brewery, and there are lots of other great breweries and wineries close by too. We live in the DC area, and it’s the perfect spot for a long weekend getaway! We can’t wait to come back again!

A group of 9 adult family and friends stated at this lovely country estate (renting both the Big house and school house cottage) to explore the surrounding area. It was a perfect get away offering a country setting of relaxation and charm along with access to many activities and towns. We explored the W&OD trail way with bikes in Purcellville, went to Frederick MD for lunch and an afternoon guided tour of Civil War Medicine Museum, guys golfed in Leesburg while ladies explored town and visited Davis Mansion and had an outstanding guided tour with Jim Silvia of Harper's Ferry. The house is appointed very nicely and has everything you would need and more. Near the house is Bluemont Vineyard and Dirt Farm Brewery that offers spectacular views while you try their offerings. Mainly cooked dinners in house to enjoy the country setting but did try Magnolias Restaurant in Purcellville one night which was excellent. The owner and property manager were very easy to communicate with and quickly responded to any questions or needs. Highly recommend this place if you are wanting a countryside get away too.

Gracious and welcoming property in a beautiful setting. Lots to do in the house and on the property and just a short drive to many worthwhile local attractions. The house is very well appointed and the host was very responsive and helpful. Perfect for our annual three generation fall getaway. Highly recommended.

The fire pit area has a relaxing vibe with views over the meadow of beautiful clouds. The house is eclectically furnished in a comfortable way. This rental had everything you could ever need and then some extra. We ended up loving it. Could have been the joy of the whole event contributed but whatever. We felt a bit sad leaving
