We had a fabulous family trip with our two children, their spouses and our three grandchildren. The property is gorgeous, very clean and well stocked. Highly recommend.

Our family of three generations, ages 5 through 71, had a fabulous time on our vacation in IOP at this beautiful home. The house was perfect for us, we loved the large, open kitchen, dining and family room and also the comfortable bedrooms, each with its own bath. The beach was two blocks away, it was beautiful and never crowded; we especially enjoyed taking early walks there at sunrise. The small pool in the backyard was also a plus. The kitchen was well-equipped although we used it mostly for breakfast because vacation means eating out, doesn’t it? There were lots of good restaurants in the area. We loved Acme Low Country Kitchen and Home Team BBQ for the family, and Obstinate Daughter (fabulous anniversary dinner) and Leon’s in Charleston, for the adults. Thanks to our host, Marian, for being available for any questions we had and making our 50th anniversary celebration special.

The property is well appointed, with attractive decor and furnishings. Super kitchen and open den area. Swimming pool convenient, with plenty of privacy. Beach one street away. Comfortable in every way.

Our entire group was very impressed by the property and the amenities it includes. The check out process was simpler than any other place we have stayed. Thank you for helping us make memories together!

Carolina On My Mind was fully appointed with all the extras, and the host was very attentive and accommodating. The upstairs porch has a great view of the ocean. It was a very short walk to the beach, and our family made some great memories. We highly recommend this house!

Marian was a great host and her home was perfect for a relaxing week in Isle of Palms. Perfect location and gorgeous property.

This home was spectacular in every way - exquisite decor, amenities, comfortable, location and so much more! Literally only had to bring our clothing, shoes & food. Marian has the home stocked for ultimate convenience and she was super responsive to all of our questions. We will be back!

I give this house 4.8 stars. This is such a great beach house. It’s very spacious with views of the ocean from the 2nd floor balcony and widows walk. The house comes very well stocked with high quality linens and towels, beach supplies, and kitchen needs. It’s a short walk to the 5th Avenue beach access. The only reasons I did not give it 5 stars was that it echoed a bit too much (nothing a few more runners in the entryway and upstairs couldn’t fix). Also we could not figure out how to get the fridge any cooler. We were not able to use the backyard area due to active landscaping on 2 days and I had to sweep off the patio the first day due to landscaping debris which shouldn’t happen when you pay this much. When I brought this to the owner’s attention she was very responsive, apologetic and gave a small refund for inconvenience. Things like this happen so it wasn’t really a big deal. None of these things would prevent us from staying again and we are already considering booking for next year! Overall I highly recommend this lovely home!

This house is an absolutely incredible find! The location and area are superb with easy beach access. The house itself is gorgeous and so well maintained. Marian had everything we could possibly need - including kitchen gadgets, bedding, towels, and beach/pool supplies. The heated pool is lovely and made for some magnificent evenings. The elevator is very convenient. The views from the top deck are superb. Marian was very accommodating when we asked for an early check-in and went out of her way to make it happen. I would absolutely come back to stay here again in the future and would recommend others to do the same!

We had a wonderful stay. The house was beautifully decorated, comfortable, spacious, great location to both the beach and all Sullivans and IOP has to offer. Exactly as advertised. Hope to be back.

Carolina in My Mind is a spacious, warm and welcoming home. Five friends and I stayed 3 nights and we had plenty of space. We enjoyed the pool area, cocktails on the rooftop deck and the comfy living area. One night we had a chef come in to prepare a meal for us. He was very pleased with the quality of the kitchen appliances and all the cooking tools. Location is ideal. A two minute walk to the broad beach and a quick drive to the grocery store and all the restaurants on Isle of Palms and Sullivan's Island. We appreciated the comfortable beds, plush towels, the elevator and the art and decor. Marion was easy to communicate with and that made our stay even more relaxed.

We absolutely loved our stay in your house. When we first entered, we all looked at each other and commented how we didn't need to plan any excursions, we could just stay in the house. We did plan a number of outings, so we didn't have time to take advantage of all that was there. We wish we had time to enjoy the beautiful pool. We also wanted to play corn hole but didn't have time. We did eat on the roof top deck and enjoy the sunrise and sunset. We cooked in the wonderful kitchen and sat at the dining room table. We used the wagon and brought the beach chairs that were supplied to the beach which was just minutes away. One thing we wish we had was more hangers. Also, the sink in the whale room has a very slow drain. Thank you for giving us a memory we will never forget! Diane, Lyndsey, Lisa, Sue and Phyllis

We couldn’t have asked for a better experience! The house had everything we could possibly need and was a short distance from the beach. The owner was extremely accommodating and quick to respond to any of our needs. We highly recommend this property and will definitely be back!

This is an immaculate home just a block from the beach. It is very spacious, clean, and comfortable - great for large groups. It is a bit far from the nightlife of Charleston, but perfect for a beach getaway. Marian was very responsive and we couldn't have asked for a better stay.

This was the most amazing VRBO. It had everything you would need for vacation. I loved the gift basket. It very quiet. I would def rent this again and give it 10 stars. The elevator was great 😊

This house is perfection. Immaculately clean with plenty of space for a large group to sit together at the dining table or chatting in the living room. Each room is generously stocked with amenities and quality towels and linens. All the beds were comfortable and the showers were really nice. The kitchen was incredible with the large island with more than enough dishes, gadgets, and cabinet space for your stay. The closet space in the bedrooms is incredible; especially the upstairs master. It’s a 2 minute walk to the beach and an easy drive to Charleston. The house does have an elevator, but you have to notify them in advance if you plan to use it. Unfortunately, were unaware of this until we arrived and read it in the house instruction manual. Our stay was in February, so we did not use the pool, but it looks beautiful. The driveway had ample parking for our cars and the decks on the back of the house allowed for a nice view or a peaceful location to sip our morning coffee. Would highly recommend this house! You will not be disappointed!

Property is as advertised and more - beautiful, well appointed home in a fantastic location. We had some issues in the house but those were directly related to the extremely unusual cold temperatures experienced in the area over Christmas 2022. Marian, our host, was extremely communicative and helpful in getting a handyman to the house to address. Would highly recommend for any future stays!

This property was splendid for us. My husband spoke with the host/owner to get some questions answered & she couldn't have been more accommodating and nice. The house was large enough to hold all of us, and we enjoyed the room to get away & have some "alone time"! It was also beautiful appointed and thoughtfully furnished. We loved our visit.

Stayed at the house after a wedding with family and friends and everything was exceptional. Marian was very responsive and helpful leading up to & throughout our stay. The house was clean and was equipped with everything we needed during our time on IOP. We hope to be back someday!!

We stayed in Marian’s property for a girls weekend, one word—WOW. This property was truly perfect. We slept 11 adults very comfortably. The house is immaculate—fully stocked with anything you may need. It is in an amazing location. We seriously had the best weekend ever thanks to Marian and her property! 10/10 HIGHLY suggest this property to everyone! We will be back!

We had such an amazing stay in this beautiful home. It truly was the ultimate beach house with everything we could possibly need and such a close proximity to the beach. Not to mention, the home is decorated beautifully. Our group of 4 adults and 5 kids enjoyed every minute and will absolutely be back!

What a great time we had at Marian's lovely house this past week. The house was perfect for us and we love the location on the quieter side of the island. It is our favorite area of IOP to stay, with a short walk to the beach, easy access to the fantastic restaurants of Sullivan's Island and an easy drive to downtown Charleston for shopping and sightseeing. The crow's nest deck is just a perfect spot and the kids really enjoyed the pool. Communication with Marian was easy and she was on top of everything. We had a small hiccup with the dishwasher, but she kept us informed before our arrival and remedied the issue as quickly as possible. Beautiful décor and plenty of room to relax, it was a fun week. Thank you Marian!

We have rented at IOP for years and this was the best rental by far. The house is so new and clean. Everything you might need. The pool was beautiful. Short walk to the beach. Communication was great with property manager. We will definitely stay here again!
