I chose Nelles Cottage because of the location and they would let me bring my dog. It was just perfect! It was three blocks to the Shaw’s Festival Theatre, and about five to the Royal George, the primary reason for going to NOTL. But then I discovered the Butlers Barracks about two blocks away with a huge off-leash field with lots of friendly people and their dogs. The house itself was great, with front porch seating in the afternoon, and table and chairs in the lush back yard for lattes (from Balzac’s, 3 blocks away) and breakfast in the morning. The kitchen was well-equipped. Everything was spotless, and perfect with three bedrooms for our group of four. All of our group, some from as far away as California, loved NOTL and Niagara, and Nelles Cottage checked all the boxes. I hope to come again and stay there next year!

Belles Cottage is situated in a quite neighborhood that is within easy walking distance of the beautiful town of NOT (less than 2 min). It’s also an easy drive from the cottage to Niagara Falls.

Nelles Cottage on the Park was the perfect location for our Niagara on the Lake trip! The home was clean and well equipped for our family. We would definitely stay there again.

The booking and check in process were very fast and professional. The cottage is ideally located a short stroll from Old Town. Well equipped with all the essentials. They even had provided an extra BBQ tank in anticipation that the one we were using might run out. Bed was comfortable. Our dog loved the back yard and the nearby dog park. Will definitely book again.

I cannot provide feedback on the cottage as I did not use it. I can provide a review of my experience with Niagara Holiday Rental. In short, I found their empathy, flexibility compassion,and customer service to be horrible.STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY. I had booked the cottage to stay with my wife,both seniors,and our 90+ parent. Unfortunately, our dog became ill (she lost her sight) with some complications. Since my cancellation insurance did not cover dogs, I contacted Niagara Holiday Rentals to explore alternatives. They told me that I was not entitled to a refund (which I knew) nor could they do anything to help me with the situation. I asked if I could gift it to a friend and I was told no and since I booked & paid for the cottage, I had to always be present too. I called to clarify this condition and I was told yes. With that limitation, my wife and our 90+ parent could not use the cottage either, since I would have to be with my dog, even though they were part of the initial group. It was very disappointing that this organization, in extenuating circumstances, will not try to help its customers by exploring all opportunities to provide flexibility. This is not the customer service one expects from any organization but particularly one tied to tourism. All they seemed to be interested in is the revenue and used their policy as the crutch. A company with such values should not be entrusted with your business. I would highly recommend that you stay away from them.

Was comfortable and had everything we needed for a 3 day hiking trip in the Niagara area. The owner was very supportive when we had a bathroom backup issue.

The place was clean, well-laid out and very well stocked with dishes and cooking tools. The beds were super comfie!

We rented Nelles Cottage for 4 nights in the off season (March). Location is excellent -- especially since we were able to bring a small dog who enjoyed the parks out back. Was spacious for 2 adults. Could see 4 there, but kitchen is very small (enclosed) so be aware that only 2 people can fit in there at any one time. Basement we did not use. Very basement-y, not much light & steep stairs. Overall, would rent again purely due to location.

We had a wonderful stay at a Nelles Cottage. Close to a large park for dog walks and a short walk to the Shaw Festival Theatre. A cozy lovely space perfect for 3 friends and a pup.

Mae was a wonderful host and very communicative. Excellent location and ample space. The master bedroom was a little cold but problem solved with a portable heater

My wife and I decided to go away for the weekend. This place was perfect and in a great location, just a short walk from all of the shops and restaurants!

Well situated home that is close to the trail and theatres. The home is comfortable, although the kitchen is difficult to cook in because of a lack of counter space. Take cooking utensils, as the ones there are quite basic. Overall, it’s a great location and a comfortable, spacious place. The master bedroom mattress is very comfortable.

Fabulous place in a lovely location.

Adorable home! The location was perfect. We enjoyed walking to all the restaurants and shops in town. We loved having outdoor space to sit and relax. We would definitely stay again!

Just what we were looking for. although the home appears small, the lower level is basically a suite that gave us privacy with another couple staying upstairs.

NOTL is a lovely town. Backyard was nice. House was clean. Only downside was that there was no ability to watch the TV in the basement. There was a firestick upstairs, but we weren't able to watch the downstairs TV.

Delightful updated property. Lots of room for visiting in the dining/living area. Loved gathering on the sunny front porch for morning coffees. The 3 bedrooms suited our family perfectly. Wish we could have stayed longer.

It is super pet friendly with a small enclosed (not fully) backyard and a massive park and field right next door with an Off-Leash park right there. It was perfect for our in house dining including BBQ that we used twice while there. We recommend it to anyone with a small dog. Loved the location - 2 blocks from Historic Downdown NOTL - away from the hustle and bustle but easy walking distance to everything. We cycled from the cottage twice and enjoyed quiet, flat parkways and rural routes with wide shoulders and courteous drivers. Nelles' cottage allowed us to have a pleasant stay. It was spacious enough for the five if us and our little dog. The location was great and allowed us to go eat, drink and be merry without taking our. We would recommend this property to those wishing to explore the area.

Great location within a few blocks of downtown NOTL and steps away from walking trails. The cottage was bright and clean with comfortable accommodations. Check in and out process was very simple with keyless entry.
