The house is beautiful, and well kept but not everything that the description leads it to be. The location near Alyeska is convenient, and we had no trouble getting around or finding good food and fun things to do. We were also able to see the northern lights when they were out. The house is located on a small densely populated dead end road. There is very little privacy. While the windows are lovely, they allow everyone to look inside the home. The downstairs bed was incredibly uncomfortable. It felt like sleeping on a cardboard box. My daughter said the upstairs king bed was really nice and she slept well every night. The sauna was especially nice as the weather was chilly and we were not used to the cold. There is also a noise detector, to prevent you from getting loud and obnoxious I suppose but it felt more like we couldn't even laugh loudly or face eviction. Overall the place was nice, clean, and well stocked but the lack of privacy, volume surveillance, and a backache had me at odds with loving the whole experience.

This home was great. The layout and number of bedrooms were perfect for our group. The house was clean upon arrival. The beds and pillows were very comfortable. The kitchen was a nice size and well stocked. Would definitely stay here again.

We had a nice stay here before flying home to Michigan. It was comfortable, convenient, and relaxing. The area was beautiful and there was great food nearby. We would love to spend more time here the next chance we get to visit Alaska.

Good location for exploring Girdwood and Portage and close enough for a day trip to Seward. Overall the house was clean and comfortable. The only negative was that the kitchen could use a few more essential items such as baking dishes and the dishwasher bottom rack needs a little attention.

This house was perfect for 6 adults. We enjoyed our time. The sauna was very nice to relax in during the evenings. We would stay again for sure.

This house had a great layout and slept 6 of us comfortably! It is updated and the kitchen had everything we needed to cook great meals when we were not eating out. The beds were comfortable and it was immaculately clean! We would book this home again when we return to Girdwood.

The hanging glacier chalet was a nice place and worked well for our family. The location was quiet and good for Girdwood where everything is spread out. The sauna was a big hit-firewood just a bit green.
