Our Stonegate #5 3-day stay was an excellent. Property was beautiful and very well located. Accommodations for the 9 family members worked out great. Kitchen was very well appointed, and the living room was spacious, provided ample seating and was very comfortable. All in all, a perfect spot fir a stay in Mammoth Lakes.

The rental needs a lot of repairs/maintenance, rug in the living room area is filthy, not pleasant if walking barefoot, propane tank empty, one of the bedrooms had no remote, television cable box in the living room was not working, very difficult when using the streaming app. Overall great location; however, management company needs to step it up!

Great stay with old friends. Beautiful location and awesome house

We booked this cabin for my dads 60th bday for 3 nights. The good: The check in process was smooth. The cabin is pretty and in a great location. The bad: the cabin was not thoroughly cleaned and we found beer cans under beds and couches. The master bath sink was clogged and overflowing. The WiFi did not work. The Ugly: my 62 y/o mother sat on a chair in the living room not knowing that one of the legs were broken and injured herself pretty bad. We had to cut our trip short and leave a day early because of this.

Our family: grandparents, parents and 3 kids enjoyed the house. Great accommodations with excellent bedrooms, wonderful public space, spacious dining area, great kitchen and nice play area on the second floor. Ideal location, close to the lifts and the village, We loved it!

I think we were just so excited to stay in this beautiful house that when thing went wrong they went very wrong. The house is beautiful and has a great location but there are some thing that we can't look past especially when your are paying A LOT for one night ( it was high season) We recently stayed at this home from January 3rd to the 5th. We had discussed with one of Mammoth Reservation employees to have an early check in since we had family flying in from Australia and Denmark. We had an elderly grandmother and a baby- they knew this and still were not accommodating. We even changed our stay from the 2th-4th to the 3rd-5th because the people staying before us were leaving on the 1st. The cleaners has over 24 hours to clean from the pervious party but when we arrived at 1 pm to pick up the key, and was told we could not check in before 4 pm. That was just the beginning. We got the key and went to the house at 4:00pm, sadly to be disappointed with these major issues: The House was DIRTY! I should have l reread the previous VRBO comments about how dirty it was. There was glitter (big & small) pieces all over the house and with a baby thats just not ideal. The floors were disgusting. When we turn the oven to make a family dinner it started a FIRE because the oven was not cleaned properly ( according to the fire fighters) and it bursted into flames! The whole house was insanely smokey and NO FIRE ALARM went off! Thats scary! We ended up calling the Fire fighters! In the upstairs bedroom was blood stains on the mattress cover which is just GROSS and cleaners should roll that up and throw that away! The internet was awful. Anywhere in the house. Guest bathroom sink was clogged and overflowing when we arrived. Fireplace button to turn fire up or down broken so it was HOT OR no fire. There were multiple dishes and utensils that were very dirty. GROSS The bottom of dishwasher was full of old food. The windows were dirty, very dirty. Window seals looked like they were avoided for a while. Remote in the downstair bedroom had no batteries- inconvenient. The remote in the living room had no back on remote. Overall the experience with the house was not very good. We paid premium dollars for the place and was disappointed the way the house was presented to us. We have rented from Mammoth Reservations before and have never has these issues. It was disappointing how Mammoth Reservations dealt with the situation when we brought it up to them

As mentioned when we made our reservation, our family traveled to the area for a family wedding. Our daughter, husband, and 9 month old crawling grandson joined us. The floors at this place were DISGUSTING, dirty and down right gross. So, I spent 3 hours of my paid vacation at this place, cleaning the floors fully and completely so I could hopefully relax and enjoy my stay without worrying about what was on the floor. It was very apparent that the cleaning people mop and sweep these beautiful floors from the centers and walkways, all debris is found in the corners and edges. We found pieces of glass, earrings and loose crews. Look behind every door, you will find debris. It was very apparent that the living room rug under the coffee table has never been vacuumed. We simply rolled it up for our stay. Hopefully someone will vacuum for the next guests. upon arriving and sitting on the couch, we found fresh finger nail clippings. Someone had clipped their fingernails and had left us their treasures. So yes, this too had to be disinfected with the wipes we brought. As ,mentioned, we were here for a wedding !!! There is NO IRON & BOARD at this place. We had to jump in the car and search the town for an iron and ironing board. Crazy that you spend this kind of money for a place like this and NOT have an iron. Loved the location ......

Growing up, my family took trips to Mammoth at least twice a year during the ski season. I’ve stayed at MANY different places in Mammoth and I can honestly say, I will never stay anywhere else. The house has beautiful wood finishes, vaulted ceilings with curved beams. I absolutely loved the floor to ceiling windows. The place was very clean and had a huge (looks brand new) couch, with comfortable leather chairs that all sit on top of a beautiful rug. The kitchen was huge with 2 islands and 2 sinks, an oversized pantry, a subzero fridge, with brand-new appliances, such as the toaster oven, coffee machine, blender, and toaster. The kitchen cabinets were fully stocked with nice plates, bowls, cups…you name it. Another MAJOR plus was that every bedroom had a private bathroom and new TVs. There was even a separate living room downstairs with at least a 65inch TV and plenty of space for people to sit for a movie night. There was also a nice size laundry room and a huge 2 car garage, which was very clean may I add. And the foosball table added a ton of fun for us all. And last but not least, LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION!! The house was walking distance from the village, which made it even more convenient to get on the gondola and hit the slopes!

Been here before, and the owner has significantly upgraded the house. New furniture, WiFi, Flat screens in all rooms. Everything was nice and clean. Plenty of space especially the family room. It feels like home away from home. The best part is being 5 mins walking distance from the Village and the ski lifts to Mammoth Mountain. Can wait to come back again.

I just took a 6 day vacation with my family to Mammoth and stayed in Stonegate 5, this is where we always stay every year. The minute we walked in we noticed all of the wonderful upgrades that have been done to the place since our last visit. You can tell the owners have upgraded it to make it feel like a home away from home (but way nicer than my actual home lol). There's a new big couch upstairs in the TV room, new area rugs, new pictures on the walls, new decorative pieces that really add a nice touch to the place, and a new Foosball table. They have updated all of the counter-top appliances in the kitchen to stainless steel and have filled the cabinets with new nonstick pots&pans, new silverware, new cups, and wine glasses. They have new dressers and TV consoles along with new leather chairs in the upstairs and downstairs TV rooms. What caught my eye the most was that they have a TV in EVERY bedroom/ room of the house, and they're all new, which is a rarity. I also love staying here because its walking distance to the Village. There is a grocery store and pharmacy along with many other useful stores just around the corner. I will definitely be staying here again the next time I go to Mammoth, I miss it already!!! You won't regret staying here!!!

We really liked our condo with beautiful wood, very high ceilings, beautiful but poorly equipped kitchen, walls of huge windows, and state of the art baths.

We absolutely love going to Mammoth and stayed here over Easter weekend and had 9 people and we were all very comfortable. The location is perfect and super close to the village and town. The house and the finishes is beautiful, however it would have been nice to have a bit more upgraded furniture (sofa has a cushion ripping off, and past it's worn out date) for the amount we're spending, as well as enough living room furniture to fit the number of people that can stay in the home. The kitchen is a great size for a lot of people, however the dishwasher wasn't working upon our arrival, but we did call maintenance and they did come and fix it. There was also a minimal amount of supplies, including forks and spoons, cooking utensils. Overall we loved the home, just needs a little bit of TLC (Paint touch up, tighten up door handles, replace lightbulbs, etc.)

Stonegate is an amazing, luxurious community and the homes are large and spacious. I have personally stayed at this house on 3 separate occasions. However, the house was very rundown. It was very dusty throughout (you could see cobwebs in the window, dust in the corners). There were walls that were stained or marked up and exterior window that was shattered, stuff you wouldn't expect out of a luxury rental. The TV's are very old and small and should be upgraded. In addition, when we arrived, we could only enter through the garage. The front door area was blocked with snow 3-4 feet high (I know Mammoth has had record snow this year, but it hasn't snowed for over 10 days). The balcony was also covered with snow and unusable. Fortunately, our group dug out all of the snow so that we could enjoy the beautiful weather. I expected more. I realize this is a rental, but there are other options available for roughly the same price. I hope you can use this review to make the next renter's experience better!

The Stonegate 5 home itself has beautiful style and structure. Close to everything. It is however, badly in need of refurbishing. The living room furniture is falling apart and one of the barstools is literally on its last leg. Rug has pink tape holding it in place and sofa is very sad. Kitchen has lots of dishes, pots & pans but no mixer. Large window in living room had a broken outer pane of double-paned window possibly due to snow?? Bedrooms were okay. No pool table or hot tub. The biggest negative was you can't check in until 5 pm.!!!! Also checkout time is 10:00 a.m. (An hour or two too early given that we couldn't get in before 5) Thought price should have been lower for what the house had to offer.

Absolutely LOVED this place. Huge lodge with plenty of space, comfy beds, breathtaking views, close to village and slopes. Not a thing was missing. Tv room has a fireplace and additionally sleeps 3-4 more people. Patio has bbq. Honestly the coziest big cabin we've stayed in in Mammoth. Only negative is that we didn't stay longer! Will most definitely return!

My family and I have rented homes in Mammoth many times and this was by far the BEST home we have ever stayed in!! The design, decor, high-ceilings, top of the line appliances, and spaciousness of the home was incredible. The size of the home was perfect and I have 4 kids! It was luxury living at its finest with beautiful scenery and we couldn't have been happier. Our friends who were also staying in Mammoth came over and fell in love and said they'll never stay in a hotel anymore after seeing this home. The location was just perfect being less than a minute away from the village making it so convenient to everything you need. I highly recommend this property and will definitely be booking it again way in advance!!

PROS: Large! beautiful views and sleeps a lot of people. Garage is nice! CONS: Is an obvious rental. Place is beautiful but needs TLC. Everything is loose (shower door, cabinet handles, faucets etc). Bathroom sink drains were backed up and did not drain well. Again, the place needs to be cared for. Lacks character due to lack of pictures etc. TV in main area is very small and really needs to be larger for the space. Coffee pot and warmer were mismatched and it did not stay heated after brewed. Kitchen pots, pans, etc really need to be gone through. Overpriced based on the above.
