We were 6 adults ,we have a really good time,everything is reallly good there ,thank you David !

The house is beautifully decorated & clean. First off this house has a sunken Livingroom and one of the bedrooms has a step up into it. The pool area also has a step down. The flooring in these areas blend to make it easy to miss the steps and the bathroom step down in the middle of the night is an accident waiting to happen. One of our friends children fell in the pool area due to one of these step downs. The steps in the house are marked with caution stickers but the pool is not. There was a mistake on the dates of our booking. We thought our reservation was for a Thursday to a Sunday. Apparently it was mistakenly reserved for Wednesday to Saturday. The owner never called us to find out why we didn't check in or see if we were ok Wednesday which would have made us take another look at the dates. The cleaning lady arrived on a Saturday and accused me of checking out late on purpose. We cleaned out or things in 20 minutes or less while wet in our bathing suits and drive home 4+ hours that way. It was horrible.

We had a wonderful stay at the Turtle House! We spent a week in heaven and didnt want to leave. The house is great, the was amazing and we love the neighborhood. The canal is a nice slow cruise 30 minute ride out to the main river. Boat ramp is around the corner and easy put in and take out. Our 21ft cobia had no problems getting in and out.

Perfect location. Plenty of room for our family of 7. Kitchen was adequately equipped with everything you need and the Blackstone grill was definitely used the most, grilled fish for dinner then bacon and eggs on the griddle the next morning. Pool was nice. Water was not cold. Just perfect. Overall everything was great. Would definitely stay again

Fantastic! The Property has water frontage and kayaks and paddle boards are provided. The pool was perfect and well maintained with a nice grill located on the patio. We had several storms pass through during our stay but that didn't stop us from having a great time. David was very attentive and helpful.

had an excellent time. the house was perfect all the amenities you could need and having the ice machine was golden. also met the neighbors very nice and it happened to be his 50 birthday on the same day as my husband. can not wait to come back again we did not want to leave. IT was just perfect.

The property is much more than pictures show. Our two year old played in the pool after breakfast, in the afternoon, and before bed. We loved how he was able to dispense his energy all the while in a covered, fenced area. The hot tub was nice for the adults too. We have a 24 ft boat that we docked on the floating dock. The boat launch is a block away. We loved the convenience of walking a few steps off the back porch to the boat for daily fishing. We were worried about the depth and width of the small canal from the pictures but we had no problem navigating in or out. It is about a 20 minute boat ride to Crystal River which was such a beautiful, peaceful ride. The owners do not cut corners with anything; it is very clean, well furnished with essentials, and adds several thoughtful touches to enhance your stay. We met the neighbors on all sides and all of them were super friendly and helpful leading me to believe the owners are easy with which to work. Parking is tight for two vehicles and a boat trailer. While there we snorkeled, fished, took boat rides to dinner, golfed, and sat by the fire. We played "HORSE" every night in the pool with the basketball goal provided. Overall-a wonderful experience.

This location and house is exactly what we were looking for. The pool was great and being able to have the boat in the water was an absolute must.

Stayed for nine days this house and the house was wonderful. Dealing with the owner was a great experience. Everything was provided with the house and a very well-stocked kitchen. As far as linens go and beach towels excellent. And the house was very clean. Will stay there again.

The Turtle House was everything we had hoped for and more! We loved the heated pool and the hot tub. We even took advantage of the stocked firewood for the fire pit a couple of evenings during our stay. The Blackstone was also a nice amenity. We used it almost every night to prepare our meals. We would definitely recommend The Turtle House to anyone looking for a relaxing, worry-free getaway.

This house was everything we needed on our visit to see family in Crystal River. Very quiet neighborhood yet so close to everything. The house had everything we needed and more. I didn't know there was a hot tub until I read the reviews which was a nice surprise. Having the ice machine and extra frig in garage was another bonus. We will def return for another visit. We came for just a week of fishing and a clean place. The home was in a quiet neighborhood back in a residential canal. Enjoy slow cruise to river. Plenty room to spread out and relax. We even made friends with neighbors across canal .

We loved the Turtlehouse. The home is beautiful. Well decorated and comfortable. Very roomy. There were 6 of us. We kayaked, we paddle boarded, fished off the pier in the canal in the back yard. The pool was fantastic. The location is great. Close to Crystal River and springs where we swam and snorkeled to see the Manatees . Lots of restaurants not to far away.We also took a trip to the WEC (World Equestrian Center) and it is a wonder in itself. Well worth the trip if you are a horse fan or if you are not. We would love to return some day.

We loved our stay at the Turtle House. We had everything we needed for our family. The dock was perfect for launching our paddle board and fishing, it would work for a small boat as well. The pool was clean and inviting- in fact our kids preferred to be in the pool over going to the beach. Overall we give Turtle House a 5 star rating.

The turtle house was clean and nicely decorated. The description and pictures of the house were spot on. We felt very much at home. They only issue we had was with the bedroom tv. We reached out to David who responded right away and the issue was resolved. We enjoyed the pool and on the cool evenings, the hot tub. It was a quiet and friendly neighborhood. I would definitely recommend staying at the turtle house if you come to Crystal River.

We are in the area every year and always stay at Vrbo home. This one is by far the best we have stayed at. The home is within walking distance to many restaurants. It is 5 mins from town and all the action. The home itself was very clean and had everything you could need. It is in a beautiful location right on the river.

Our group of five stayed at the Turtle House for three nights in February. We came, of course, to see and learn about Manatees. The weather was cold and a little blustery during our stay, but the house kept us warm and comfortable throughout. Everything was perfect. The house was absolutely spotless and well appointed. The decorations were lovely and really added to the charm of the Turtle House. Everything we needed was there; from linens (including lots of beach towels) to dishes/glasses/flatware to bathroom toiletries. We appreciated the coffee and tea, especially on the cold mornings. The beds were comfortable, the couches were super comfortable and there were plenty of seats/chairs for us to spread out, including out by the pool. The big screen tv was great, as our trip happened to run through Super Bowl Sunday! The location was exactly what we had hoped for when we booked the house. On the water, with a lovely dock. The screened-in porch with swimming pool was awesome. The Turtle House is close to all of the action; restaurants, attractions, tour operators. We felt like we were only five minutes from everything. In fact, the Biscuit Barn is within walking distance. The hot tub was great, especially since the weather was on the chilly side. We didn't have a chance to use the available kayaks, but it gives us something to look forward to next time. All in all, the Turtle House checked every box for us. We would absolutely stay there again, and recommend it without hesitation. Thank you David and Brittany for providing such a lovely accommodation for visitors. Having the Turtle House as our homebase while we explored Crystal River was fantastic.

We came to see the manatees and Turtle House was an amazing place to stay while we did. The listing is accurate, house is clean, updated, and well set up (be mindful that the living room area is sunk in in case you have any mobility issues). We loved the place and the area! Pool was a bit chilly but being solar heated in the winter that makes sense. New hot tub was phenomenal! We will be back!

The house was clean, spacious, and had everything we needed. It is located on a quiet street and was conveniently located near all of our planned activities. We had a wonderful time during our weeklong stay in Crystal River, FL.

This is the most fantastic home ! I have stayed at the turtle house before with family. The home has everything you need, the home is close to all attractions and the neighborhood is so friendly. I look forward to visiting the turtle house again in the future. The turtle house is definitely at my happy place.

Well equipped house. Owners have clearly thought about finding ways for helping guests entertain themselves. Great location for boating, kayaking and manatee viewing (in cold weather). Easy access from a major highway but in a quiet neighborhood. Multiple floor levels could be challenging for mobility impaired folks.

The house was awesome. The kids love to cool so we made ample use of the kitchen. We played a lot of games. Lots of space for 8 people. Thanks for sharing your home! The boat lift was great for our boat!!

Stayed here for my birthday weekend, place was perfect, everyone was comfy and plenty of room to park the boat outside

We had a great time at this property !perfect if you have a boat ! The pool is refreshing after a hot day and the hot tub just makes your evenings relaxing . We enjoyed the fire pit as well and the paddle boards. This house is perfect with a group and family and we look forward to returning !

We traveled with two couples and four kids and found the home in pristine clean condition upon arrival. It was stocked with enough toilet paper and a roll of paper towels and a new sponge which we greatly appreciated! really enjoyed the fact that there was an ice machine in the garage! That was a huge bonus and great for filling our coolers when we went out on our boat. We were able to dock our 20-ft boat easily on the dock.

We have been coming to Crystal River for a few years now. The Turtle House was another great stay. The house had everything needed to cook meals at the house. We did have one little hiccup with the pool but that was taken care of promptly. There was plenty of room for 3 couples and a toddler (which loved the toys provided). As said in earlier post the canal is very narrow but you can literally see the ramp from the house so that was nice being close by. The trailer parking at the house was a little challenging but worked out. I would book this listing again.
