Fantastic property in a great location! Our group of 8 (and 1 dog) were very impressed overall with the house and its rather centralized region to the surrounding Wilmington area! Clean, modern and well appointed, one couldn't ask for a better place to stay. We all enjoyed spending time on the 3 season screened addition. Quiet neighborhood where a short walk will take you to a backbay dock. Driving around the area, most beaches and attractions were within a 15-20 minute drive. No hesitation at all to refer this property to others looking to visit or stay in the Wilmington area. We hope to go back someday in the next couple years! Thank you very much for a great stay!

This property deserves more than 5 starts. The house is in a nice quiet neighborhood, in a driving proximity to everything that the are has to offer. It is well designed - the plan is open but three bedrooms give plenty of privacy. It is exceptionally clean. The kitchen is well stocked - pots, glassware, coffee maker, dishwasher, spices etc. The owner even left us bottled water in the fridge (I have to say - we rent through VRBO a lot, and this was the first, so lovely!). Our son loved the covered porch with the big TV. The wifi was perfect - great speed for streaming, and for Zoom meetings for the unfortunate ones who have to work during their vacations. The owner is very responsive and clearly cares/goes above and beyond to ensure that the tenants have a nice stay. Central AC is great in the hot summer, and a nice master bedroom shower and Jacuzzi are definitely a plus. We were very comfortable and enjoyed this lovely clean property - it helped make our stay very relaxing. Thank you, Jeff!

This property is perfectly located outside of the noise but close enough to everything we wanted to do. We loved sitting out in the screened porch. This property was very well kept!

This property is beautiful. The privacy and quiet make you feel like you are at a nature reserve. We saw lots of birds and squirrels, but also a red fox and a beautiful large egret. The house is laid out wonderfully and the owner is extremely responsive. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed this home. We hope to come back soon!

If you are from New England, you may appreciate this review. Wilmington is an odd mix of the Cape Cod feeling and Florida! The Southern Magnolia is now my favorite flowering tree. Jeff's house was very welcoming and I felt very comfortable staying there for the 2 weeks I booked. So close to everything and had an AMAZING meal at the Keg and Egg at the local restaurant you could walk to! No siting of a gator...but I looked! The streaming TV channels was great! The house was fully stocked, so I didn't need anything else! Jeff was an awesome host, too. My pup and I had a lovely stay.

We enjoyed this lovely home very much. It was a quiet haven apart from all the graduation activities, but also perfect for our celebration dinner and family party. There were many nice touches and a variety of areas to choose from. We especially enjoyed the screened in porch and the very open family room. Jeff was available if we needed him, but everything was ready for us with no need to contact him. We would love to return some time in the future.

All home comforts and more. Very peaceful setting. Our dog loved running in the garden with the ball. Neighbors very nice. Parks just a couple of miles away and coffee shop just 5mins drive. Jeff was very good giving us recommendations in the area. Would highly recommend this property.

Great home tucked away in a nice quiet neighborhood just minutes away from everything. The home is clean and well maintained, and the outdoor living space is great for hanging out. Would not hesitate to stay here again.

I spent a month in this VRBO and there isn't a rating high enough to give Jeff and Ellen's house! Jeff met me at check-in to give us a tour and instructions., and he responded quickly to any questions I had throughout the moths. The home was meticulously clean, the beds, sheets, blankets, and furniture were so soft and cozy. The floor plan of the house is perfect. The kitchens and baths are well appointed. The landscaping is lush and well maintained giving us a feeling of privacy. The neighborhood is clean and beautiful with friendly neighbors, and seemed very safe. I DEFINITELY would rent this space again. As I mentioned....I DIDN'T want to leave!!

This home was just as shown and then some! Very clean and very roomy! We enjoyed our vacation and relaxed on the screened in back porch in the evenings. Wonderful hosts as well, will definitely rent again of back in the area!

This was a wonderful stay in Wilmington NC. There were five of us and we had plenty of room. We had a lot of rain so spent more time indoors than expected but with 5 (yes 5) TVs we could all watch or do whatever we wanted. Everything we needed was there. Jeff was very responsive when we needed to reach out. Downtown was 15-20 minutes away as were both Wrightsville Beach and Carolina Beach. We even met some neighbors who were super friendly. I have already decided that I can’t wait to go back!! Jeff I hope you’ll have us again 🙏😄 Thanks for being a great host.

We were able to walk to whiskey trail, a little local pub/eatery, had friends pick us up at the local community dock a few houses down for a spectacular day on the water and nearby islands and sandbars. Our kiddos were entertained with the fire pit and backyard and we really enjoyed the porch with the fireplace!! Beaches and restaurants are close by. Home had everything we needed for a beautiful and relaxing week in Wilmington. Thank you Jeff and Ellen for sharing your home! We look forward to another trip!

We traveled to Wilmington to celebrate our daughter's college graduation and were looking for a comfortable house close to UNCW. Jeff's home was much more than we expected! Hands down the cleanest, most comfortable home we have ever rented. It has all the comforts of home with beautiful lighting, landscaping and real house plants. Jeff was available by phone 24/7 and responded immediately when we had house questions. The neighborhood was quiet with friendly people and the location was close to everything we needed. We will definitely rent this home again when traveling to Wilmington!

We stayed at this home during the month of March. The home is clean and the owners take good care of the home. The main image on VRBO of the beautiful water is false advertising. The home backs up to a tidal river that is more often empty than anything else. It's not pretty - it's ugly as can be, despite the imagery displayed by the owner. Communication with the hosts was, in my opinion, just weird. We left the home a few days early and sent them a message notifying them of such. Zero response. Upon arriving at the home, we sent them a thank you and offered some kind words. The response, "thanks for the heads up". Heads up on what exactly? Bizarre. While the home is fine, the area is depressing. Wilmington is not a destination town. It has the worst traffic of any small city that we've ever been too - horrible infrastructure. We noted a few things to do while you're there. Do the riverwalk downtown. It's nice, but don't expect restaurants to be open during the week, at least not in March when the weather is beautiful and the temperature is over 70. It's like the twilight zone. Visit the arboretum - it's a nice place. Walk at Long Leaf Park. It's the only park where we felt safe. Get a tattoo - that seems to be the thing in Wilmington. Get drunk - not much else to do. Plenty of bars in Wilmington that will happily feed the addiction. Finally, get yourself a Pitbull or two. Lots of those in Wilmington. If you do decide to travel to this area, a couple of recommendations. Avoid Wilmington. If you absolutely must go to this area, stay at Wrightsville Beach, Carolina Beach, Southport or anywhere else. Wrightsville Beach is mostly homes, 1 main restaurant, parking is a huge problem. In terms of Beach experience, I'd rate this a 2 out of 5. It just isn't all that. Carolina Beach has a boardwalk. It's about 1/1000th of Myrtle Beach's boardwalk. You can walk from one end to the other in just a minute or two. Because the area is small, the beach gets really crowded on nice days. Southport is a small town that you can take a ferry to. It's a nice town that sits right on the water. We enjoyed this small town more than anything else. It's quite picturesque. The nuclear plant near by is an added bonus.
