This property was disappointing for the price paid for a week. It should not say it sleeps 16. It is a small home that appears that the owner spends little time or energy to make a great vacation rental. There is a lot of potential for the property if owner was willing to put some effort and money into updating the property and making renters feel comfortable.
I sent a list of many issues to property management company so hopefully the owner will take under consideration. My family of 16 made the best of it but it wasn't what we expected nor would we return.

This property did not meet expectations. The property has not been well taken care of. I took many picture throughout my stay and sent them to the property manager to be addressed for at least a partial refund and have heard nothing since. To start don’t expect to have all the beds to be functional. The pull out sofa in the guest house is broken to the point that it lacks support to even be used as a couch. It was an inconvenience since every guest was supposed to have their own bed and a certain number of beds are advertised. If you want to play pool the sticks are either broken or taped back together. The door handle is missing on the back door and if you get a chance to make it out to the second story deck there is a mat covering the rather large burn hole by the rocking chairs.
Obviously, I won’t be renting here again.

Everything was advertised and we enjoyed our stay. Many small kids on our trip and they had plenty to do to keep them entertained. Well done Mars Hill property.

My daughter left her iPad at the house. The next day I sent a message via VRBO to property owner about it. He immediately text me back and confirmed that he found it and said he would get it in the mail ASAP. I text him a few days later to get an update but he never responded. I then began calling, texting, and emailing but he never responded. I even found his business page on Facebook and text him from there but he didn’t respond. I have since called the Mars Hill Police and filed a police report!!

Both the cabin and guest house were very clean, Beautifully decorated, the kitchen was stocked well with all pots pans and utensil's. The property manager welcomed us with his beautiful dog and a nice bottle of wine. The deer just walked around the property like we weren't even there. Overall we had a great time, We will absolutely rent this one again.
