We had scheduled this trip just to get to see snow since we rarely see snow in the DC area. We got one of the best vacations we have ever had. While the snow storm made our skiing/tubing weekend amazing, the home and location made the weekend perfect. We had separate rooms for our 2 daughters with independent heat controls and ceiling fans so they could sleep comfortably. We had 2 1/2 bathrooms which meant noone had to wait. And a wood burning fireplace that allowed us to come home and roast s'mores while watching the snow fall. The family room was comfortable with multiple ways to watch whatever you wanted. They thought of the little things too. We were welcomed with supplies for hot chocolate (complete with marshmallows) as well as a wonderful welcome gift. The owner supplied a lighter and ash bucket for the fireplace, batteries and scissors so we had it when we needed to replace the fire alarm batteries, cotton balls and swabs, make up wipes, lotion and tissues. And the kitchen was perfect for us to cook meals rather than be forced to drive in the snow to find food. The home is in a lovely community with dedicated parking. We didn't get to enjoy the deck but we did take some great family photos in the backyard that backed up to evergreen trees. We have already talked about making this an annual trip! Communication with owner was flawless. Quickly answered any questions we had. Even took our phone call when we couldn't find the unit because of snow storm. Great place with great owners. Will definitely use again.

This is possibly the best home we have stayed in. Small and cozy, but had everything you could possibly need. Would definitely stay here again.

This is our third time staying at Mountain Pines. It’s the best ski condo we’ve ever rented. The kitchen has everything you need to cook a meal and the rooms are warm, cozy, and well decorated. We appreciated the ample supply of wood to make fires at night. We will be back!

Property was perfectly located, sweetly decorated and welcoming. The house was well stocked, super clean and accommodations were very comfortable. We loved it here and I’m going to save it as a favorite for return visits.

Great location in Canaan Valley. Easy Access to Canaan Valley Timberline and Whitegrass. Very clean interior well stocked kitchen. Nice layout and back deck.

We had a wonderful week staying at this very clean comfortable house. It is very well equipped with extra added touches for comfort . The owner was very responsive to our messages . We stay somewhere in Deerfield every year to ski at Timberline -this is a good one!

We keep returning because Mountain Pines is simply perfect. Super clean, all the amenities needed and more, great bedding and towels and furnishings and kitchen supplies and decor and... you get the idea! Plus a lovely location in a quiet, woodsy neighborhood just a hop from skiing and hiking. Love it.

The property was super clean & had everything you need for a comfortable stay. The location was perfect; super close to the ski slopes & just minutes from Davis. We loved having a wood-burning fireplace to come home to every evening. We’ll definitely be back!

Nice, clean, quaint, place for a long weekend of skiing. Easy location to both Timberline and Canaan Valley skiing. Perfect space for 4 adults, 2 adult kids, myself and my wife. We would definitely stay here again.

This cabin was super cozy from the Christmas tree to tge hot Cocoa bar to the scented soap in every bathroom. Beds were comfortable, fresh and clean. Perfect amount of room for the 6 of us. Great location to get to all the sights.

This townhouse was the perfect size for my family of 5! It was the perfect space to enjoy a cozy evening and enjoy dinner and games together after a day of skiing at Timberline! This listing is true to description and was so personalized including a hot chocolate bar and Christmas decor! Would definitely chose this Iisting again!

The village is very nice and we had a great time. The place is very well kept. Stocked well and we even had a little welcome gift. The owners were great to communicate with. The view from the pool is incredible.

We love Deerfield! We came for a family reunion and most of us stayed in Deerfield.
Great place to stay. A/Con the entire place would be nice and was needed this week. Perfect place with pool, tennis courts, outside play areas for children to play and beautiful surroundings!

Having three bedrooms, full kitchen, a wood fireplace, and easy access to Timberline and Canaan, this wonderful home really was ideal. It was well stocked with lots of amenities and thoughtful surprises in the kitchen. It was clean and comfortable and updated so I hope we can go back again soon!

The owners obviously want to create a comfortable, pampering experience for their guests and they have excelled. The home is beautifully decorated, very clean and comfortable, great location and very well stocked with everything that you will need. Thoughtful touches like a snack waiting for us when we arrived and firewood stacked by the fireplace and outside show their thoughtfulness. We would love to stay here again on our next trip to Canaan Valley.

Clean and comfortable
We visited Mountain Pines to go skiing at White Grass and snowshoeing for a weekend. The location was very convenient to WG and not too far from downtown Davis. The check-in was seamless and there’s a gem of a BBQ place very close to the community entrance plus other restaurant suggestions in the welcome book. The entire condo was very clean and looked like the pictures. Had a great time and would recommend to others looking for a getaway in the area.

Our 4 person family -- parents and 2 college students had a great stay at Mountain Pines. The area was expecting a snowstorm and John was great about letting us know about the condition of the roads and the area, which received about a foot of snow. We arrived on a Friday and the check in process was very easy. A snow shovel was right inside the door which we made quick use of since the snow had just finished falling. The property was very clean and there was a bag of chips and salsa sitting on the kitchen counter when we got there, which pleased our hungry crew. There was baseboard heading in each area so each person could control their own room which was very convenient.
The property looked exactly like the pictures so there were not surprises. Many nice touches were included -- hot cocoa packets, cotton swabs, etc. The beds were very comfortable, the towels were high quality.
The location was great -- close to the town of Davis, which had a few restaurants and a grocery store. Be mindful, hours were limited in Davis. We were just a few miles from our activities -- Sledding in Blackwater Falls, XC skiing at White Grass and snowboarding and ice skating at Canaan Valley.
We would definitely come back and stay again.

Another cozy stay
We had a second cozy holiday stay at Mountain Pines. The condo is warm, inviting and clean with comfortable beds and the kitchen utensils, pots. pans, dishes etc. were well stocked. We spent a long Christmas weekend here after a wonderful New Year's Eve trip last year. We cooked Christmas Eve dinner and Christmas Day dinner and the utensils and cooking dishes were plentiful for two wonderful holiday meals. We skied twice and found the access to Timberline Mountain ideal. We will be back. Thanks for the wonderful stay!

Perfect
We absolutely loved our stay here! It was the perfect place for me and my little family to spend a weekend getaway. There was more than enough room for all 3 of us. Everything I could have possibly wanted to cook with they had and that was a huge blessing. Everything was super clean. Typically when I stay places like this I feel like I need to run all the dishes through the dishwasher before using them. Not here, I truly felt like all I had to do was walk in and unpack. We are even planning on renting this again this summer hopefully for a week! Just need to figure out when! Thank you for offering such a wonderful home for us to have for the weekend.

We love staying here! The townhome is wonderful and so well stocked with all the essentials and then some. We always utilize the fishing pond and other amenities.
