Ralph communication was amazing through out the entire process , the property was as beautiful as the pictures I couldn't get over the view . It was safe . The entire Staff was like family literally I enjoyed every minute . Mr Baker being a driver is a understatement he's a security guard , tour guide , driver and friend . My stay was nothing short of amazing . I utilized the chef , driver , massage service and everyone service and communication was immaculate . I wish I would have stayed longer I loved it .

Both the house and everything that comes with it are amazing. Home itself is spacious, perfectly kept and the pool area is every bit as beautiful as the pictures suggest. Communication with the host was fantastic. Maybe most important, you should consider using the driver and chef service. Mr. Baker (driver) was the friendliest person you’ll meet and indispensable for getting around and finding good spots. I don’t know how we would’ve managed without him. Chef Merrick and Chef Royal prepared absolutely incredible meals, for a price comparable to restaurants. Again, both are extremely friendly and accommodating. Fantastic visit all around.

I booked this villa for my best friend’s bachelorette weekend, there was a total of six of us. I cannot stress how wonderful everything was, including the team. To start off Ralph, the owner, was very thorough and diligent when it came to the check in process and communicating all the information that I needed. You can make your stay as inclusive as you’d like. They offer an array of add ons from massages to a personal chef. All the work is done for you, which is exactly what you want when you’re on vacation. Mrs. Dorothy made sure we had everything we needed and the Villa was spotless. Mr. Baker was our trusted driver/ bodyguard. I would 100% recommend using the driver for anything in the area, taxis are very expensive otherwise. He was able to pick us up from the airport, which saved us a lot of time. The house was very spacious with a beautiful master bedroom. The pool area and the view were stunning. 10/10

There is a communal gym, tennis courts, and lap pool available. We hired a photographer to come to the house to take photos of our group and we were able to also get some amazing shots. The pool was perfect for lounging and the waterfront view was gorgeous. The house is really quiet and private. The AC worked really well and we had tons of space. There is also a small safe for valuables. 1) Ralph was a great host, he was very accomodating and allowed our group to change our dates and check in early. He's really responsive and super nice. 2) Mr. Baker was AWESOME - basically our tour guide, bodyguard, driver, and friend. We invited him to join us for dinner at the end of our stay! He's always on time or early and very professional. He is well connected and has tons of suggestions for bars, excursions and restaurants. I definitely recommend booking transportation and excursions directly with Mr. Baker rather than online because then you can be on your own time. You aren't on a shared tour bus with others, Mr. Baker is a really safe driver and is accommodating to your needs (music, bathroom breaks, starbucks stop, liquor or convenience store, etc.). 3) OMG Chef Thomas -- absolutely amazing. His recipes are unique, nothing like what you would find in a restaurant. We had delicious Jamaican cuisine - braised oxtail, brown chicken, jerk chicken, seafood boil, cocktails, fruit platters, and more. He arranged for a pastry chef to make us a stunning cake. We definitely recommend anyone stay in Shimmering Waters!!

Everything was sparkling clean and nothing was missed! Note* Ask Mr. Baker to stop at the grocery store to pick up more toilet tissue if there are more than two people, some creamer, sunscreen, some alcohol and snacks. (There are no markets that are walking distance) Lastly, have him take you to Scotiabank that will allow 24/7 US money ATM withdrawals. You should have a lot of cash on you because that’s what rules on this island! Try your hardest not to get hustled. (If you hire a honest driver, like Mr. Baker, they will help you avoid that. But even Mr. Baker is tryna make a living too …if you know what I mean) There is a restaurant at the Yacht Club that’s about a 10 min walk or a $15 cab ride. I must warn you if it’s your first time in Jamaica. This is NOT an all inclusive resort so you much financially prepare for the exclusivity of this amazing home. You must pay to travel around the island! These taxi drivers will try to up charge you and they EXPECT a tip which is super annoying. Airport Ride: $20 + $10 tip Margaritaville Montego Bay / 2727 Club: $30+$10 Pier 1: $30+$10 Negril: Mr. Baker charges $200 (we found a driver that took us for $130 and we gave him $160) Ocho Rios: Mr. Baker $150 (our driver was $80 and we gave him $120) Kingston: $220 (We stopped asking Mr. Baker so I’m no sure how much he charged) The benefit of have Mr. Baker is his knowledge and experience of the island also you don’t have to hunt down a cheaper driver in hopes that you find a honest one that won’t drive you into a bush somewhere … But luckily I already had a friend who came a few times and found a guy that she always uses so that was a blessing for us. Being a single mother with just my bestie, we weren’t paying crazy money to just drive around the island! Last note* I think that everyone should book a Jamaican vacation the way I did. First experience this home! Secluded and relaxing huge home. Hire the chef for a couple days and lay out in the pool without seeing a soul (maybe the pool guy) It’s freakin amazing!!! The host and support staff of Shimmering Waters were on point! Ralph, the premiere host, was very attentive throughout the entire process and communication with him was a breeze. His attention to details was evident. He passed on useful contact information for his crew so that planning ahead of the visit could be possible. He even had relevant information regarding the emergency services, embassies, etc. in convenient locations in the house. There were hand sanitizers in most rooms and Lysol was also available. If one wanted a COVID-19 test prior to departure, it could be arranged to be done on site. We were greeted by the very affable Tanesha (housekeeper) who graciously showed us around the property. At the end of the visit, she returned with Dorothy (housekeeper) to do the walk through. Nakesha, the massage therapist, was excellent as she delivered her massage by the poolside in the cool of the morning. How relaxing! However, we did not need the driving service this trip. The kitchen was fully stocked with crockery and utensils. Food, either purchased from nearby restaurants or prepared there, could be easily stored and reheated. Now, the most exquisite thing about the property is the stunning view of the water that greets you as you pass through the front door. It is truly surreal! Words would not suffice nor do justice in trying to describe this place; one simply has to experience it. Do not hesitate! You will not regret it! Definitely deserving of a return visit!

Great location with an amazing view! Private, quiet area. Chef and driver option was convenient and a wonderful choice. I plan on booking again in the near future.

We had so much fun staying here and Ralph was such a gracious host. From pickup at the airport to staff greeting us at checkin, everyone was great. Please book Chef Merrick! He was such a pleasure and his food was better than all of the restaurants we tried. Ralph was reachable via text and phone when we had an issue with power and accommodated us to get out of the home until it was fixed. Overall just great people and a great home!

All I can say is WOW, we just didn’t want to leave! I’m not sure where I begin but Ralph(the host) went above and beyond!! Staying at this house made our trip the trip of a lifetime, the pictures don’t do this house justice. If you’re looking for somewhere that’s safe, with beautiful scenery, and an accommodating host and staff then look no further! To start, the hospitality provided was what really made our vacation stress free and so relaxing. If there was the slightest problem Ralph responds quickly and always has a solution.. luckily we didn’t have any major issues (just small COVID testing questions) The house was much bigger in person than we expected and the neighborhood felt extremely safe since there was 24 hour security. Everything in the house was spotless + is has anything you could possibly need there (coffee maker, hair dryer, beach towels, fully equipped kitchen, tennis rackets, etc) Ralph also connected us with a driver, Mr. Baker and we all miss him so soooo much already!!! We booked Mr. Baker for the entire trip and he was ALWAYS on time (in fact early) and when we told him the activities we wanted to do he organized it all for our group of 5 and just gave us the times we needed to be ready. Mr. Baker took us to all of the hidden spots that we wouldn’t have gotten to see without him and even surprised us with taking us to so many beautiful restaurants that were nice and private with great scenery. We enjoyed him so much we asked him join us for breakfast towards the end! Before I forget to mention; Mr. Baker always had a great sense of humor and resolutions to the slightest problems as well:) we miss you!! Also we can’t forget Tanisha(sorry if I misspelled it), she did the housekeeping and she was so sweet too we miss her so much!! If we needed anything she was always ready and willing to help and was so kind to everyone!! She helped do some laundry towards the end of our stay and we had her come by in the middle to do housekeeping and she made sure we had all new fresh towels, sheets, and everything she did her job so so well!!!! Last but not least we had Chef Merrick make us a traditional Jamaican dinner the first night we were there and the food was perfect after a long flight so definitely would recommend booking him as well! If beauty, safety and cleanliness are important to you then you need look no further for ‘the best’ VRBO Caribbean property. If you can peel yourself away from the serene private pool area with lovely landscaping, there is a lap pool and 2 nice tennis courts steps away in this small gated community. The house has air throughout so comfortable to come in from the heat if needed (which was for these northerners!). Each room has hand sanitizing stations and every room was spotless and well provided. The owner went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed, even stocking the fridge as he knew stores would be closing early due to Covid the day we arrived! He also made himself available the entire time for questions and recommended an incredible driver that took care of us all week (Bronstein Baker). One daughter had to attend some college courses and the Wi-Fi was measured at 160 Mb/s so all cell phones and laptops were easily supported on the new wireless internet. The master suite is palatial and all beds appeared new and super comfortable (no sore back!). The moon rise above the lagoon was worth the price of admission alone. The kitchen was very modern with a 6 burner gas cook top and we even had an outside grill for cooking as we ate in quite a bit due to Covid. Unlike some other countries, we drank the water right from tap and had no issues. We are already planning our return trip - ya mon!!!
