This was my first opportunity to experience the Lake Michigan area. Actually my first time to Michigan and it did not disappoint. Bob and Martha were very kind and communicated with me as soon as I booked their cute little cottage. It was close to many nice little places, some of which was closed due to the off season. We really just wanted a weekend to relax and go see the beach a few minutes away and it was exactly what we needed. The cottage was cute and clean and the walking trails were very relaxing as well. You will be thinking of your next trip back here just as we are. Thank you again!!

We absolutely enjoyed our stay here! Everything was wonderful from check-in to check-out. Bob and Martha are wonderful people and make sure everyone's stay is great. We hated to leave, but already planning to stay here again next time!

Family is familiar with SW Michigan and have stayed all up and down the coast. Sawyer is probably our favorite town and the Gandy Lane cottage was perfect. Amazing property, remote feel, great amenities, helpful owners and biking distance to the beach! Would definitely stay again.

This home was perfect. Bob and Martha were very welcoming and accommodating during our stay. There was acres of land to discover, explore and adventure in. We had a great time!

Really nice little cabin. We were a family of 4. The main bedroom has its own powder room, and then there is another bedroom with a queen bed. The shower in the larger bathroom has great water pressure. There’s also a shower in the basement for rinsing off although you’d have to think ahead to keep the basement door unlocked if you want to avoid trekking sand through the house. There was also a nice large gathering/reading room with comfy couches and chairs. The basement has a futon and a pac man arcade game. Kitchen had pretty much everything needed. Fresh eggs on property as well! The outdoor space is also very nice for grilling and sitting outside with a fire. We walked to the Pheasant Pantry place for coffee and pastries, our kids loved the big tree swing, the beach is minutes away ($11 for non-residents cash only) and there is a place go-karts and an arcade nearby as well.

We so enjoyed our stay for a Fall gals weekend! Great location close to Sawyer and Warren Dunes. Property was so nice and peaceful and Bob gave great suggestions for places to visit. Enjoyed using the bikes to get to the dunes

This cottage is a real gem amidst a sea of generic VRBO rentals. Many of the original architectural details have been preserved and highlighted by the current owners, and it's clear that a great deal of though and care has been put into all of the updates. The cottage is in an ideal location close to the Warren Dunes and plenty of great cafes and restaurants. The bikes were a great touch and much appreciated by my family.
And the owners were wonderful to communicate with. Highest recommendation.

My friends and I rented this home for our annual trip. Martha and Bob were great! From the cleanliness and comfort of the home to the “camp” fires at night. All was great.

Bob and Martha were very kind hosts. Bob greeted us upon our arrival and showed us around the property with his adorable dog, Lilly.
We mostly made use of the kitchen, back deck, and yard, where we enjoyed watching cardinals, rabbits, black squirrels, and even deer feed. The property was lovely to walk around, especially the path into the woods behind the house. We did hear some traffic as the house is rather close to Red Arrow Highway. That said, it's also super convenient to get around.

60th birthday celebration
This property was perfect at everything we wanted. Love the deck outside spent a lot of time on that deck. Bob was very gracious in helping with everything when I first got there. Fabulous people. Thank you again Bob and

Girls get away
We were a group of women taking a weekend away. The place is very nice in a great location close to everything. the hosts are great and very informative. They have bikes and beach chairs to use. We would stay again any time.

Clean, very well stocked cottage close to town and the beach.
We had a great long weekend at this funky little beach cottage. The kids had a great time riding bikes around the 6+ acre property and we all rode the very short distance to Warren Dunes State Park to climb the dunes and go to the beach. The cottage was stocked with everything we could possibly need and the hosts were very responsive. I only wish we had a vehicle to transport the kayaks and paddleboard. But alas, my car is too small. We could have stayed longer!

A Gem in Sawyer
Wow! Martha and Bob are wonderful hosts and have a wonderful house. It's very comfortable with lots of indoor and outdoor space. The kitchen is roomy and well appointed. Lovely deck and firepit area. The location is great- near the beach and walkable to Peasant's Pantry and Local Pour. I would stay here again!

We stayed on Martha and Bob’s property to celebrate our anniversary near Warren Dunes. We were blown away by the cottage. It’s gorgeous, updated, so clean, and stocked with literally anything you might need to stay plus some. Martha was so kind and gave us a full tour when we arrived. I cannot wait to come back. I hope to book out much longer of a stay next time as this was the absolute perfect get away.

Lovely fall trip
My husband and I spent a lovely weekend at Gandy Lane Cottage. The cottage was in a beautiful spot, just a short walk from Warren Dunes. The cottage was super comfortable. We had everything we needed and the hosts were super friendly and accomodating. The weather was warm enough that we got to spend some time on the back porch. We hope to go back soon!

Notre Dame game getaway
Great experience except for the rain and my car breaking down when we arrived but the property owner helped me out with a mechanic and they fixed it the next morning the owners were very nice and the whole area was beautiful . It was a great weekend nice to kind of unplug and have a place that has everything you need and people who are friendly, the whole area and experience was great plan on going back next summer . Thanks Bob and Martha

Great place to stay when exploring SW Michigan
Martha's and Bob's cottage was perfect for our weekend getaway. We explored the local beaches and took in the beauty of Lake Michigan, shopped at a local farmers market as well as tried out some restaurants in Bridgeman. Not too far away is the Round Barn Estate Winery & Tabor Hill Winery in Baroda, MI. The vineyards are absolutely beautiful!!! And after a day of exploring we went back to Grandy Lane cottage to relax and enjoy all the comforts of home.

As before, the cottage was warm, clean, comfortable and had everything to make our stay enjoyable.
The owners are really nice and keep the property in excellent condition, always adding to the comforts of their guests.
We highly recommend this spot for a wonderful getaway or vacation.
