No heating/ hot water not sufficient

De slaapkamer was ok, maar helemaal niet meer zoals op de foto's

Everything , it was a disaster. We don't like to write bad reviews but this was the worst stay in Sri Lanka. It is very deceitful to call this "luxury". It is worn down, unhygienic, no comfort ( for example, a gas cooker but no matches) We understand it's a humid climate in SL but if you put "luxury" in your description we expect you to avoid damp moldy bathrooms, mold in the freezer and unwashed cups in the cupboard ( to name a few) Wifi was almost non existing and we eventually turned to our 4G The document said quiet after 11PM. At 11.20 we went to the guard to ask if a party upstairs could be a little quieter ( not stopped but consider thay neighbors) At 11.45 we had to go and ask for a second time.

Op de foto's lijkt het geweldig echter het was binnen in de keuken, koelkast, bekleding van bank niet echt schoon ( schimmel in koelkast en plakkerige keukenblad en deurtjes) en het rook muf en naar schimmel. Ook de badkamer was niet goed gereinigd. Hoewel de verhuurder ons graag anders wilde doen geloven vanwege werkzaamheden die hij eraan heeft besteed hebben wij hem toch teleur te stellen want het resultaat van dat alles was matig. Als Genius level 3 gebruiker en in meer dan 70 hotels en kamers te hebben verbleven was dit de 1e keer dat besloten werd te annuleren.

One of the worst we ever stayed. Name itself is much misleading . Not only the place was smelly and dysfunctional, the host is arrogant and not responsive. Host blamed cleaning staff for all issues. Moreover there is staff slavery in this place. Host been taking the anger over poor young kids cleaning the rooms yelling at them. No reception service all handled by cleaning staff.

It was a big apartment with with supper clean

We lived in a two-room apartment on the second floor. One room had a large bed. The other room had a bunk bed (large). Large living room combined with kitchen. The kitchen had everything you needed: gas stove, microwave, lots of mugs and plates, forks, knives, everything you needed. Internet, TV, television. We stayed for 3 days and really enjoyed our stay in Nuwara Eliya: the cool climate is what we expected.

It is very cold in Nuwara Eliya. Especially at night. Therefore, in an apartment without heaters it will be very sad, cold and uncomfortable. We ordered two heaters at an additional cost and the apartment immediately became cozy. And there was freshness on the balcony.

Location is somewhat nearer to the lake but there are plenty if not hundreds of other accomodations facing the lake and much more nearer to the lake or overseeing the lake than this property.

Service is horrible. They wanted to collect the full cost up ahead of the stay which is fine but what came after is bad to worse. No help offered to carry the bags to rooms (my driver and I had to carry 4 suitcases and some hand bags / backpacks). This is true for both check-in and check-out. From 8:30am, the staff were pestering us for checkout. No water bottle. No tissue anywhere in the room. No toilet paper. When asked about them the reply is a sarcastic one that the property is not a hotel but a lodging / condo service and that patrons are expected to buy their own water bottles, which I'm ok with but what about toilet tissue paper? No reply from the property owner. I specifically asked for a scenic room but my balcony opens on to the balcony of the room in front of me. When asked about this, the property owner advised that he can do a change over at 6:30pm on the next day which is useless when you are checking out in 12 hrs for a 2 days stay.

Good location near Lake Gregory. Balcony was nice. Main bedroom was nice.

Second bedroom was very damp and had mould and bad smell. Even the beds were damp. Although they did move us to another flat when we complained about this, it also had similar issue. Toilet wasn’t great either with insects. Very different from pictures

The layout of the room. It was spacious. The kitchen had adequate utensils.

The property description did not be very clear that it is a bed only property. The linen was pathetic. The first room allotted to us was stinking. There was fungus on the curtains. We then got ourselves shifted to a better room which was better than the earlier one but far far below expectations. Not even a bottle of water was provided. No tea coffer arrangement. No male staff assisted shifting our luggage from car. It was a poor girl who did all the lifting. Shameful! Among the 6 hotels we stayed in Sri Lanka, this was the worst. Lot of improvements needed.

I never expected that they gave me a bunk bed which was uncomfortable in up i thought it was a normal double bed

The apartment was big and airy, with the balcony. The kitchenette had essentials. Good shower. Efficient check-in.

A bit more cleaning would not hurt; and neither would a lick of paint, especially around the window edges. Had to remind the check- in officer that i want to pay on a card, rather than cash. They added 3% to the bill.

Friendly & helpful staff .. claim & quite place. Well clean & Good hygiene place.

Loved everything about the stay . Location of the accommodation was very convenient it was clean and well managed. Staff were really good. Specifically this lady Kumari was amazing. She was really friendly and continuously checked on us during our stay

Bit far from town, but peaceful location

Climbing a steep incline and then 56 steps to the room. Microwave an essential equipment to reheat food in cold weather not functioning. Vital plug points broken.

Nice flat located near the lake, spacious.

Flat wasn’t very clean to be honest, lots of humidity and mould spots on the walls and curtains, two broken chairs and not working microwave were a let down. However the cleaning lady Kumari was outstanding at her job, she has addressed all our needs and came few times to check and make sure we are ok. Gave us extra blanket and towel. She is definitely an asset to the whole experience.

Nice location...100 meters away from the lake. Clean room and friendly staff.

Just one concern with the towel as it was shredding....not a big deal anyway.

I like the location. It was only 5 minutes from the city yet very quiet and surrounded by beautiful tea field and vegetable Plantations.

Doesn't look like the photo at all!!! We arrived & even after communication with the hotel there were confusion with the booking. The room was damp, as was the bedding and towels. Lots of damp all over both the bedroom walls, rings smelt musty - so a long term problem. No heating and lots of condensation over the windows. Breakfast was part of the booking deal. We were meant to have 2 breakfasts provided for 1 adult, 2 teenagers, 1 child. They gave us 2 loaves of bread, 4 bananas, 1L milk, a small pot of jam and a small tub of butter. That was it, it was delivered at 10:30pm the night before. It was extremely disappointing. No tea, coffee or juice. It happened to be windy the 2 nights we stayed; the windows in the main bedroom and lounge rattled loudly all night. Bathroom light was flickering all the time when in use, so quite dark in there. There was some construction work going on during the day, night times were really busy & noisy. Not that great for a family. Honestly wouldn't recommend it, unless you really had to stay there. Price was too high for the service provided. Accommodation was very tired.
