The air conditioner works very loudly and because the window is always open, there is a lot of noise from outside to inside.

Commune Suites is a small Bed & Breakfast style accommodation, located in a beautiful residential neighborhood. there are 3 guest rooms and a kitchen. Alex is a gracious host and offered great ideas for sightseeing and restaurants for our short stay. the rooms have a modern style, large comfortable beds, very nice shower/ wet room facilities, coffee and kettle. a short walk to main streets and canal area. pleasant walk to museum area.
as mentioned in the booking, there is a steep flight of stairs to get up to the first level of rooms; Alex met us at the property upon arrival and helped with bags. It may be challenging for anyone with mobility issues.

Location was wonderful, on quiet local street 2 blocks from Main Street/trams.
It was in a beautifully restored home with only 4 rooms. It is 4 stories with very narrow, curving stairway. Anyone with mobility challenger or very tall would not have been able to get to rooms.

Well located in a quiet street in downtown, walking distance to lots of places like Heineken Experience or Canal. Plenty of good food nearby, esp a Thai restaurant and a steakhouse on the same street.
Staff being quite helpful and friendly. The embedded heater somewhat didn't work during our stay and the staff kindly provided a backup heater to us to keep warm during the night.
Pretty difficult stairs esp if you are with heavy luggage, of course the staff always helped guest to lift the luggage to their room upstairs.

Very homely, interior was beautiful. Very good use of space. Location was brilliant, we were able to walk everywhere! All in all, we had an amazing mini trip to Amsterdam and Alex’s property made it even better! Such a warm welcome and felt right at home even though we only stayed a few days. We really appreciated the hospitality.

Huge room on the top floor, very clean, comfortable bed. Excellent location for exploring the city. Aside from the usual noise with older buildings, it was very quiet. Host was quick to respond to any questions and very helpful.
there is no lift however, I only had a small piece of luggage so could manage it myself. Don’t let it put you off.

Great location for exploring Amsterdam. Nord room was very comfortable and had everything we needed. Alex the host prepared a fantastic breakfast for us every morning. I would definitely stay at La Remise again.

didn’t look like the photos, very noisy. the stairs are incredibly steep and not safe. we woke all night to people walking above us and coming in and out of the property. only one pillow on the bed each.

Prices in Amsterdam have risen incredibly in recent years. we paid more than 500€ for two nights.

Lovely large spacious room and bathroom. Comfortable bed and nice bedding. Nice location.
Stairs were dangerously steep. Very hard to take luggage up. Thankfully my husband is strong I couldn't have managed on my own.

Fantastic location, Luxury rooms, superb breakfast. A great host. Everything was perfect from start to finish, the owner was extremely helpful. Without a doubt this is the best place to stay in the centre of Amsterdam. 5*

The owner/ Manager was great. He let us secure our belongings when we arrived in the AM. That gave us a full day to tour Amsterdam before officially checking in during the afternoon.
Authentic home with many Dutch aspects. The stairs are steep so be in decent shape.

The room and the bathroom were big. The bed with linen sheets (superb), super comfortable, i now have to get one set for our house too! The area was amazing: Metro, Tram, Good restaurants, Cafes in walking distance. Super central but quiet in a beautiful part of Amsterdam.
Definitely going to stay here again on my next trips to AMS :)
We liked everything, actually i don't have any recommendations on how to improve.

La Remise is so beautiful: a gigantic and modern room, beautifully decorated - and perfectly located in Amsterdam. The host is super nice, makes a great breakfast and has a ton of super recommendations
