Beautiful view overlooking Hermann and hills. Breakfast was fabulous and varied each day. Well lit sidewalks when returning after dark. Many enjoyable conversations with the local folks. Conveniently located near wineries, restaurants, and downtown. Would stay there again.

Everything was perfect for our needs. Renee had the room ready earlier than expected which is get to the wedding we attended. Room was very clean with updated bathroom. Communication was easy and prompt with the owner. Would recommend to anyone going to Hermann

This property is located close to downtown but far enough away to feel like you were in the country. The room and bathroom was very clean and appeared to be newly redone.
I do wish I could have had control of the thermostat as I got pretty warm. There was a ceiling fan and a standing fan which helped.
I would stay here again!

Great communication with the property manager and went out of her way. Clean, private, and comfortable. My wife and I celebrated our anniversary in Hermann and this place worked out great!

My husband and I brought our bikes to ride on the Katy Trail. The Himmel House was a great place to stay to enjoy the trail and the charming town of Hermann.
The Gipfel suite was clean, comfortable and had everything we needed. The patio had a beautiful view of the town below.
Renee was a great, responsive host, and her breakfasts were delicious.
We would stay here again if we’re ever in the area in the future. Maybe we’ll come back for their Oktoberfest.

My husband and I took the train in from St. Louis. We didn’t appreciate that this house is at the top of a hill. We really enjoyed the peaceful patio and the view, but it was a hike up. It was very clean, had all the amenities you could want (outlets and USB ports on each side of bed, snacks and water bottles in the room, Keurig coffee maker with sweetness and half &half). lThe breakfasts were delicious and communication with the host was easy and non-intrusive. Overall I highly recommend it!

This was a perfect place for us! Being on the edge of town, it was nice and quiet without being far from the things we wanted to do. The room was super clean and comfortable, and we appreciated the snacks and waters waiting for us. Breakfast was delicious. Renee and Gretchen were great communicators, allowing us to stash our bikes inside their private gate, and suggesting a fun stop for us on our way home.
The only caveat, which has nothing to do with our hosts, is that we would not have been able to ride our bikes directly to the property due to the hilliness of Hermann. Maybe you would be able to, if you are younger and in better shape than my husband and me... We were simply not prepared for how hilly the town is.
Over all, though, we would highly recommend Himmel House!

I was in town alone for the week on business. My room was the perfect size for me and was clean and cozy. The spacious shower and bathroom area was a huge plus. And, the snacks and waters left for me were a sweet touch. The hosts are great communicators, ensuring my needs were being met via various text inquiries. Although the communications were not bothersome nor too often. I will definitely rent here again.

We had a nice stay. The owner allowed us to check in early, which was Great! Breakfast was fresh and tasteful. The room was very clean and accommodating.. The only complaint was the loudness above our room throughout the night. Alot of loud footsteps and ALOT of commotion. At one point there was a very LOUD boom (like a heavy ball was dropped).

My husband and I enjoyed our visit to Hermann on an unseasonably warm weekend in January. Renee was so easy to communicate with via text about check-in and breakfast in the AM. Our room and the common area were clean, cozy and stocked with snacks, water and coffee. Our delicious hot breakfast hit the spot before traveling home.

We were the only couple staying at the property so it was very quiet. We had a great time. The only downside was the shower in the bathroom was the open type... water was all over the floor afyer showering, making it really slippery. Otherwise highly recommended

My wife and I came here for a weekend getaway. This was our first time staying in a house in Hermann. All I can say is I was blown away. The location of Hummel Haus is great. Far enough away to be quiet but close enough to walk to activity if you want to. The transportation services also have no problem picking you up there.
We had the more private room of the three The room was very clean and easily accessible.
The common area had everything you may need to include a refrigerator, sink, and dining area.
The host contacted us and responded to us without delay. They provided us a delicious breakfast each morning. Far more than some continental breakfast.
Overall we were very satisfied and are already planning on returning. Thank you for a great weekend!

Everything was wonderful. We were even offered breakfast with the other guests. The rooms are downstairs with the owner upstairs. So we can hear footsteps at times above us but not a constant thing. From the pictures I did not realize it was just a room like hotel style. I thought it was bigger. That being said. The room was clean, the owner was very good at communicating. She supplied snacks and boxes of cereal. It has a Keurig, mini fridge, microwave, and a little table to eat at which was nice. We thought the bed was very comfortable. It was private and the owner was there if we needed it but she gave us privacy. It is up on a hill so you have pretty views. Close to downtown but not to the point you feel like you are by the noise. I still would definitely stay again. Thank you for a great stay! Thank you for being so nice!

We loved this B & B. Renee was very accessible. Her place is charming and has a beautiful view overlooking Hermann. The breakfast was excellent too. I will definitely stay here and again and will recommend to friends.

Quick Getaway
It was the perfect escape for the night. We biked the Katy Trail then had dinner out on the town. The bed was incredibly comfortable. Looking forward to coming back!
